Aside from the advantage that I did get to see it with my girlfriend, "Love, Rosie" is your average romantic comedy to watch over the summer with the complicated and sometimes annoying chemistry (?) between Alex and Rosie intact. I don't like how this movie makes me feel, it reminds me of a time when I was in a similar situation. Not that it opened old wounds but I had that knot in my stomach watching Alex and Rosie being idiots. Not that it opened old wounds but I had that knot in my stomach watching Alex and Rosie being idiots. As movie goes, I guess it means that they've done something right. I was emotionally involved in the movie, I guess we've all been in this kind of mess, and that's probably the reason why Love, Rosie kind of works. The film takes us back to a place where we don't really want to go because no matter how weak the script seem to be - the life span could have been better handled - I still connected with the film.

Lily Collins and Sam Claflin have an amazing chemistry on screen, which does not take long to be established in the movie. Their chemistry is there and the audience's history with this kind of complicated relationships is what makes the movie. Collins' performance was better than I expect but she did not look like a mom, not at all, by the end she looked like the Katie's sister. The same goes for Claflin, who blew my mind in The Riot Club, he gave a great performance but he looked the same, it's even hard to believe that time had passed if not for Katie growing up.

Love, Rosie is a good film, it's easy to connect to it, a very nice romantic comedy.

Despite a cliched storyline a string of cliches, I actually liked this film pretty much for me I was emotionally involved in this story no matter how weak and formulaic the script is by Juliette Towhidi, and first-time director ChristianDespite a cliched storyline a string of cliches, I actually liked this film pretty much for me I was emotionally involved in this story no matter how weak and formulaic the script is by Juliette Towhidi, and first-time director Christian Ditter's direction is charming also the chemistry between it's two stars Lily Colins (Abduction) and Sam Claflin (Hunger Games: Catching Fire). So let me explain this predictable plot, so Alex (Claflin) and Rosie (Collins) were best friends since they were five years old, Alex tells Rosie his weird twisted dreams. They couldn't be more perfect for one another or could they? You have to be an idiot if you don't know the answer. Love is their worst enemy, so is making good choices they have when their teenagers they have feelings for one another but they won't admit it. At their prom night, Alex and Rosie have a passionate kiss, Rosie is too drunk to remember that kiss, but at the same time she loses her virginity to her classmate Greg (Christian Cooke) resulting in an unexpected pregnancy. Such new coincides with Alex's move to Boston medicine. As Alex and Rosie go in different paths, an inevitably romance is on the rocks. I found the lead characters dumb, the two lead characters have an annoying chemistry with one another, which the results are an unwell made rom-com with amazing production standpoint and appealing chemistry with Lilly Collins and Sam Claflin, but with a better script. But I still enjoyed it and somewhere I have strange connections with it. 3 out of 5 stars Expand
