This movie was truly incredible. I saw the original Jurassic park and it was OK. This one was SO MUCH better. Bryce Dallas Howard was incredible. I highly recommend this movie.

I feel like everyone giving this a low score is disappointed about it not being the same like the first one. People should get over this, there won't ever be a movie that has the magic of the first one. This was a very good movie, sometimes a bit more over the top than the first ones, but that's ok.

The movie never pretends being an intellectual oscar winning movie, but it's still the best popcorn movie I saw in years and it will be one of the few movies I'll watch every year, again and again.… Expand

I loved this movie! I know with there already being 3 other Jurassic movies, I knew what would kind of happen. I knew there would be dinosaurs and people would probably die in it but still it was a great movie. I loved Chris Pratt. I justI loved this movie! 22 Years ago, a film was released that changed the way we make films, for good, 2 sequels followed that kinder polarised fans of the series even to this day, but can the newest entry in the series, Jurassic World, stand up to 1993's near22 Years ago, a film was released that changed the way we make films, for good, 2 sequels followed that kinder polarised fans of the series even to this day, but can the newest entry in the series, Jurassic World, stand up to 1993's near perfect Jurassic Park? It can? Wow! Jurassic World is an absolute thrill ride from start to finish, with a great script, great performances, great music, great visuals, this is certainly a worthy entry to the Jurassic Park franchise. The Script is great, very tense but also very funny at points, although the focus is slightly cloudy at points I can overlook this, the performances by, yeah everyone are great, Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard give strong tense performances, Vincent D'Onofrio is great as the film's primary antagonist, Irrfan Khan and B.D Wong shine throughout the film, and even Jake M. Johnson and Judy Greer give stunning performances in their rather limiting roles, but I think it's Nick Robinson and Ty Simpkins who really shine here, their roles are simply the run away from the big dinosaur roles, but they turn them into something deeper and more interesting, this is without a doubt the best cast in Jurassic Park history (just a shame there's no Sam Neill). As for direction, it's great, Colin Trevorrow did a great job in recapturing the feeling of amazement of watching Jurassic Park for the first time, although personally I prefer Spielberg's direction in Jurassic Park and The Lost World, and even Johnston's direction in Jurassic Park III, but it's still first class direction. Summing up (finally), Jurassic World is a worthy addition to the franchise, hell I'd say it can compete with the 1993 original, but for me, that film will always reign supreme. Fast, Fun, and Epic, the cast and crew have really captured a certain type of awesome that hasn't been seen for about 22 years, nice one guys!… Expand

I've only seen the original Jurassic Park (not II or III) so I'm not the biggest fan of the series. Let me just say that Jurassic World blew my slightly low expectations out of the water. This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. When i first heard of the movie and the gene modification stuff, teaching dinosaurs and so, i got really worried. I thought that it could go the wrong way or in a good way.Fortunately, for me, it went the right direction. The Indomitus, the most proeminent aspect of that new approach isn't an aberration. Instead, he is clever, dangerous and use several natures best hunting tactics and, foremost, he hunts for sport! It's a unstoppable killing machine and impose a lot of fear. Speaking of which, i saw i different kind of terror/fear in this movie and i liked it! The deaths are pretty scary, mostly because the directors decisions about camera angles. But not only that, the soundtrack and the situations cause a large sensation of fear, it captured the fear of death right before people got caugth by their nemesis. It deviates from previous movies, which, for me, were much more cartooned-like. It's a psicologycal terror, the fear before death that really added to the more dark atmosphere of the movie. In this movie, i felt the wheight of the deaths, the effects on people and it impacted me a lot. Another point that i feared that could go the wrong way was the raptors training. I expected that they did that in a silly form, you know, like, "hey rex, go get that bone". But it wasn't like that at all. Instead, that aspect is very intriguing, and the spectator stays apprehensive all the time, because you never know if the raptors will attack or if they will act accordingly. Its very unpredictable and sounds very much like how it would be if that really happened, so is another point of the movie that overlapped my expectations. The plot is acceptable and so the carachters. A bonus and praise for Crhis Pratt, wich, for me made a solid carachter and conducted is role very well. His caracther is cool, without loose that sense of responsability. For those who says he could be more funny like his previous roles, like Guardians of The Galaxy, i disagree. That role need a strong and responsibility man and a funny guy wouldn't fit in the genre.The dinos are fine e vast and the (spoiler) King is back, so i couldn't asked for more. They are everything i wanted to see. No feathers and others stuffs. Just the old and gold reptiliam gore!!!!!! I think that compare it to the first movie is a sin. Is like compare Alien with Aliens, both have their own merits and are good in their peculiar aspects, because they have diferent goals. That is the way i see Jurassic World, no need for comparisons. Ultimately, i think the movie pay respect for the previous movies and is very nostalgic at times, but without disconnecting from its own reality, and that is definitely what this movie is about! We are not in 1993. We have technology, people got tired of the same dinos and the movie brought all that new stuff without losing its soul. For all that said i consider this a very very good movie and i loved every moment of it.… Expand

I was a little nervous at first but I thought they created a unique story and it wasn't the same old stuff and they added something new to the story. I thought they had a great cast and managed to add humor, romance, action, and adventure to it that they other films lacked. I know a lot of people criticize the films for completely changing the story but that was what I liked about it.

I also thought it was cool that they showed the dinosaurs in a whole new light. The raptors weren't the big bad dinosaurs as they were featured the previous films. The T-Rex actually saved the day towards the end. Awesome move!… Expand

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Being a 90s kid I grew up on these movies. Being born in 1993 and the Jurassic Park movie releasing in 1993 these movies were always my favorite. Not just for the thrill but for the love of dinosaurs in general. I went and saw Jurassic World the day of release. There's honestly not a negative thing I can say about this movie. Taking a movie that came out over a decade ago and revolutionizing it to fit a modern appeal was not an easy thing to do. Going from the original Park being a private opening, and going to a Park open to the public there is a lot of things that would have needed to be done to make it the way it should be. the only negative thing I can say about this movie is it should not have been released in 3D. It's kind of a cheesy way to present this movie. But that's my opinion only. If you are a big jurassic park fan and love all of the books and movies, then you should not be disappointed with this movie. I saw it on the 12th and am already wanting for it to come out on Blueray. Comparing this movie to the original is like comparing a 1920 car to a 2015 car, there's no reason for it, the originality of the first Jurassic Park is great, but this is a sequel not a "original movie". I would love to see this series booted back up into more movies or possibly even a TV show to see how Ingen rebuilds.… Expand

Therefore, I thought Jurassic World was great. Just like people in Jurassic World, I wanted to see new dinosaurs. There were many new dinosaurs and many new types of scenes. There were many things I never expected to happen. My favorite scene was INDOMINUS REX’s ending. I really loved the VELOCIRAPTOR, TYRANNOSAURUS and MOSASAURUS. My favorite dinosaurs was VELOCIRAPTOR. Now I also like MOSASAURUS. Maybe my favorite. If there is going to be a sequel. I want to see most scenes set on under the water.

Interesting thing is B. D. Wong acted as a scientist in Jurassic Park and he did as well in Jurassic World.… Expand

The CGI was actually pretty good, the actors did a good job for what they had, and the overall look of the movie is enough to make even the harshest movie critics leave at least some positive notes. Now, some elements were bad, like some cheesy humor, but, if you are a fan of Jurassic Park, you will most likely have learned to ignore all the negatives. The movie is most certainly not for people looking for a possible Best Picture contender, but is an enjoyable and fun movie. Parental Guidance is required if any young ones are looking to see their favorite dinos chase people around the mountains of Isla Nublar, but they shouldn't be having nightmares when they go to sleep (unless of course they are bothered watching humans become dino food. I mean, what kind of dinosaur movie has humans and dinosaurs on the same island and no one dies? Trust me, no one would watch that movie). So, this movie is not disappointing, unless of course you dislike Jurassic Park, or dinosaurs for some reason, but, if you did, then why the heck are you watching it?… Expand

If you're looking for an Oscar winner keep on walking by this one. This a Summer Blockbuster to its core, but if you want to escape some of the summer heat and relive some of your childhood buy yourself a ticket to Jurassic World.

Chris Pratt was awesome and so was the rest of the cast. My only complaint is how unrealistic it was, like when Owen was riding his motorbike in the bush with raptors running along side him, and there were no bumps...in the bush...COME ON!!!! But that aside it was extremely entertaining. Although, it is probably not suitable for younger audiences. I am 14 years of age and did not find it at all disturbing. It did not show anyone get eaten but did show blood. Overall this is a truly terrific movie that does the original Jurassic park proud.… Expand

Truly a masterpiece of a film. I watched it over 100 times since I got the DVD (I might be exaggerating). Chris Pratt is amazing, as is Bryce Dallas Howard. Great effects. Dinos look so real. Jurassic World is a very entertaining movie. You have a lot of action, science, and dinosaurs. Who did not love dinosaurs when they were little? Back in the 90’s, they had the first movie called Jurassic Park. then they later made JurassicJurassic World is a very entertaining movie. You have a lot of action, science, and dinosaurs. Who did not love dinosaurs when they were little? Back in the 90’s, they had the first movie called Jurassic Park. then they later made Jurassic Park: The Lost World and then Jurassic Park Three. In my opinion, the third one is the best, but this movie is a close second. It basically is about these two boys who go to Jurassic World to visit their aunt whom they have not seen in seven years. Their aunt is the person who is in charge of the park. In the park, there is a dinosaur that is a mutation of a T-Rex and a Velociraptor. The creature escapes from the cage and brings terror across the island. Many are injured and a lot of dinosaurs die. The aunt, her friend Owen, and the two boys are trying to find a way to survive the dangerous dinosaur. I have grown up watching these movies, and the only one that has disappointed me was the second one. It never impressed me. I like the characters from the first one and the third one. Even though this movie does not have them, it is still a pretty good movie. The movie is pretty graphic though. You get to see people get eaten by dinosaurs. How cool is that? I never knew that humans could be eaten by something that has not existed for over a millions of years. Also in the movie, you also get a little romance. Watching this movie, I was very impressed with all of the animation. The dinosaurs looked so real. Since it has been so long since the last one had came out, no one knew what to expect out of it. When I saw the previews of it, I got so excited because I had loved the original movies so much. Watching these movies when I was younger made me love dinosaurs today, but it also made me very fascinated with them. Usually when there is a movie that is done 20 years later it is never good, but this movie is worth the time to watch.… Expand

The visuals were thrilling and spectacular and so was the plot line. As the time passes on, the visuals get more artistic and realistic. This trilogy series never wears out it's welcome, I wonder what they will think of next Jurassic Space? I hope this film continues to receive critical acclaim as it's a dazzling popcorn thriller and it's emotionally and visually exciting.

I think in the fifth film, there should be dinosaurs in space or the dinosaurs are attacking aliens. The CGI gets better as the years go on and it successfully replicates and in some ways improves the behaviours of the dinosaurs when they react with humans with the dinosaurs violent behaviours sure to thrill the entire audience!… Expand

From the moment the familiar theme music started Jurassic World grabbed you as it took you back in time 20 years to the classic Jurassic Park. Was it as good as the original? Was it as good as the original? No not even close because back then we had never seen dinosaurs come back to life so realistically. So basically coming in we knew what to expect as far as the story goes. Kids sent to a relative in Jurassic World, this time an Aunt as opposed to Grandfather John Hammond. Every precaution is taken to protect the guests but as we all know the guests are food for the nothing can go wrong dinosaur theme park. Chris Pratt as the hero recreates the same character as in the blockbuster hit Guardian's Of The Galaxy, a modern day Harrison Ford if you will. Whatever can go wrong does go wrong. And Chris Pratt's character comes to the rescue for the kids and falls in love with the ice cold Aunt who happens to be the director of the park. It's just a great popcorn flick for the entire family. The special affects are absolutely outstanding. Look for this movie to take in over $100 million dollars this opening weekend. Fun movie everyone should enjoy as long as you know going in it's feeding time for the dinosaurs.… Expand

Given how long it's been since we've last had a Jurassic Park movie this just wouldn't have been a good sequel without at least a few nods to the original. Thankfully this movie has them in spades. The music in particular is a real treat thatGiven how long it's been since we've last had a Jurassic Park movie this just wouldn't have been a good sequel without at least a few nods to the original. Thankfully this movie has them in spades. The music in particular is a real treat that will bring back some fond memories. That's not to say though that your enjoyment of this film will hinge upon how much nostalgia you have for the original. This is a sequel that manages to do it's own unique thing for the series while simultaneously reminding us why we fell in love with the 1993 hit.

The spectacle has been raised in order to keep up with the times. Moments are meant to keep your jaw on the floor and it mostly succeeds. We get some great kills and a heck of a lot of fun. The biggest and probably most successful new inclusion to the series formula is the addition of more humor. There are quite a few funny moments scattered throughout that are admittedly cheesy, but will still bring laughs. Some people will criticize the inclusion of these moments as just as a way to make the movie more enjoyable to a wider audience. As far as I'm concerned it's just more fun added to the mix. Some people just can't have fun at the movies anymore.

One thing that isn't quite up to snuff are our two lead adult characters and their romance. Pratt and Howard are cast as generic character types. She's the working stiff and he's the guy who everyone should have listened to because he told them how it was all going to go wrong. It's stereotypical and we've seen it all before, only it was more fleshed out then. But hey we do get some humorous jokes as a result and certain viewers are going to eat up the kiss scene. While they don't quite hold up as fleshed out characters you still can't help but root for them when the dino crap hits the fan. The other characters feel more fleshed out and are more enjoyable as a result.

Now enough about the people. Let's talk about the dinosaurs. Well it's safe to say that any dino fanatic is going to be in heaven. There are plenty of different dinosaurs and they all look great, even if they don't look as real as the ones in the 1993 original. A movie with visuals that still hold up today. "World" even gives people a hybrid dinosaur (central part of the plot) to obsess over. Even better is that it takes these great looking dinosaurs and puts them in scenes with huge spectacle and excitement. Watching a human and dino come face to face is just as tense and enjoyable as ever.

"Jurassic World" is a heck of a lot of fun. A worthy new sequel for the series. One that invigorates it with new ideas and opens it up for more just when it looked like it was extinct. In my opinion it is the best of the sequels and sits just under the first Jurassic Park as the best dinosaur movie out there. I had a blast watching this and I can't wait to do it again.… Expand

Look, its not the best and not a masterpeice, but for what it is, Director Colin Trevrorrow delivers us the same formula which made the older movies such golden hits, he excutes it with cheesiness, expolsions and a hint of terror and emotion. Jurrasic World puts to the table, John Hammond's vision of the Park redisgined, boy does it look spectacular. Isla Nubar is the Disneyland for kids of the generation. It was very cool to give it a theme park vibe and that surpasses the original theme park a million times. Technology has advanced and Jurassic Park has aged with grainy picture shots and laughable technology gizmos, but it worked. World features stuff that is attracting to our generation. I remember watching it on VHS and just loving every single moment, well acted and directed movie, Jurassic Park. Jurassic World is a fun movie, some pf the most fun I have had at the movies in a long time. But it goes over the top sometimes, and that is why it is so cheesy. But it clicks. Watch it in 3D. There was something special with the Original Jurassic Park that sparked my interest in movies and dinosaurs. The something was very lacking about the two previous sequels Lost World and III, something this movie brings back somewhat. Basically being in a Theme Park setting for me does half the job of making this movie something special.

The story is simple and gets you a decent setting to give characters room to have a story in, nothing is revolutionary there. You are taking to seeing another park get destroyed this time with more spectacle and on a larger canvas.

The casting is generally great and the actors play their roles well, I never felt the main female star was right and looked a little odd for me, but she does ok and gets the story where is needs to go. Chris Pratt is good but was better in Guardians and Lego, maybe just used to him now. The two kids do well and aren't quite Lex and Tim but aren't the annoying kids from Lost World or III.

The special effects are industry standard and wow at times. The new hybrid isn't amazing still the T-Rex and velociraptor's look better, but is was original.

The nods to the old park were my favourite bits, id love to see more and how the new park was build.

Overall Happy and will be getting this on Blueray ASAP!

It showed places from the first film that really gave me that nostalgia of seeing Jurassic Park in theaters when I was a kid. I absolutely loved the hybrid dinosaur idea and the fact they spliced several DNA sequences together to make something extremely intelligent and threatening. I loved how the new park was done and a lot of the new attractions (like that water dinosaur). I get some were disappointed because the dinosaurs were "unrealistic" to their true nature because most dinosaurs had feathers but if you listen closely you can hear them say "if we hadn't messed with their DNA sequencing, they would look much more different." The only reason I cut it down a point was because I did find a few things slightly unnecessary such as the older brother constantly texting and making "goo-goo" eyes at all of the other teenage girls at the park. He didn't even talk or come into contact with any of these girls so going out of the way to show his interest in them was kind of dumb.

Overall, I was proud of this movie, I did not regret spending money to see it, and I highly recommend it to any fan of the Jurassic park series.… Expand

For context, I'm 65 and the original Jurassic Park/series was 20 yrs ago and I was a full fledged adult. It was awesome for me and my kids then, and I see no reason why this updated clone would not generate the same adrenalin for all. I was looking forward to this movie, as the trailers made it seem exciting to see, and I was not disappointed. Chris Pratt (from Guardians of the Galaxy fame) is an actor I would like to see more of in action films. Like Alan Grant in Jurassic Park, I would ask Director Colin Trevorrow 'How did you do this?'. Firstly Jurassic Park is one of my all time favourite movies. Firstly Jurassic Park is one of my all time favourite movies. I saw it when I was 11 and loved it ever since. As for the sequels, The Lost World is watch-able and Jurassic Park III does not even deserve the JP title. The series lost its way and you would have been forgiven for thinking, as I did, that any more sequels would have no chance of being halfway decent. It defies reason then that Trevorrow can come to this franchise with only one film under his belt and produce the best sequel to Jurassic Park. Not only that but Trevorrow set out to recreate the feeling of what it was like to watch the first film back in 1993 and for me he damn near succeeded. The only thing that stopped it feeling like a full 1993 nostagia package was that I had seen the dinosaurs before. Everything I had been concerned with in the trailers just works. Chris Pratt and the Raptors - its great! The I-Rex is genuinely the scariest creature since JP's T-Rex. And as for the T-Rex, his reappearance later in the movie was entirely predictable, highly anticipated and awesome. The whole film feels like a breath of fresh air with a promising future that entirely ignores parts two and three. I can't wait to see it again . . . it can't be as good as I remember can it?… Expand

Jurassic World is one of the best theatre experiences I have ever had. I'm not going to say that this film is better than the original because there is so much material that is inspired by the first film. I'm not going to say that this film is better than the original because there is so much material that is inspired by the first film. Many characters resemble the classic characters in the original film and there are several shout outs to the 1993 classic throughout the film. Chris Pratt said that this film was a film made by a Jurassic Park fan for Jurassic Park fans and that could not be anymore true. The dinosaurs look great, and the action is so outstanding that I had my popcorn finished before the movie was halfway done. Chris Pratt offers a bit more star power than this franchise is used to and he proves that 2014 was not a fluke for him. He does not show the level of humour that he had in Guardians of the Galaxy but he is still very funny and he grabs your attention in his scenes. Bryce Dallas Howard was also amazing and I really enjoyed her performance. There are also great supporting cast characters like Vincent D'Onofrio and the comedic relief Jake Johnson. What prevents a perfect score for me is the overuse of the original films magic and I found that the two young boys in the film take up a little too much of the screen time and although by the ending you can tolerate them, they are kind of irritating for the first few minutes. If you get an opportunity to see Jurassic World in theatres take advantage of it because it could be the blockbuster of the summer.… Expand

This was the best movie I have seen all year and it was the best jurassic park sequel by far. However this movie was not without flaws but let's start with the positives: Chris Pratt was by far the best character in the movie and this role cements him, in my opinion, as a young star. The action was well directed and there was good comedy relief throughout the movie. The new dinosaur worked as well. The negatives are that the cgi was not convincing in some shots and I feel like directors can't just rely on cgi these days. Spielberg understood that you need to have machine dinosaurs that look perfect in close up shots. There are also two boys in this movie that didn't really add anything and kinda dragged the movie down when I wanted the movie to focus on chris and killing the dinosaurs. Also, the opening shot of the park where the iconic music starts was just embarrasingly underwhelming. I mean the song was playing when it shows the park and the inside of a hotel! Whoopdi Doo! I didn't watch the movie to see real estate! Another thing, I mean the movie doesn't address, at all, how the hell the lawyers and the government allowed this park to be reopened after the catastrophes of the past. With all that said I highly recommend you watch the movie. It's a great time.… Expand

It sounds crazy, but apparently you can bond with a raptor. Bryce Dallas Howard has the proverbial stick up her behind, but once things go south, she can man-up, even in those high heels she wears. She is supposed to be bonding with her nephews, but has left them in the care of an underling. Bad move, Claire! Being boys, they promptly ditch the babysitter and set off on their own adventure. Bad move, guys! They end up in the thick of things and any bonding that takes place is between the brothers in peril. Jurassic World is tons of fun and screams.… Expand

Yes this a remake and No they are never the original, but still gave it a 9 for the sheer fun of it and for the fast ride the movie gives. Does it feel re-done and similar yes some of it, but you have to figure they re-visit the island so that figures in, along with some of the original sets from the original movie, that coupled with the same dinosaurs except for a couple new ones. Fast Forward though to new characters who are fun and vivid, and that coupled with non-stop action and cling to your seat kind of fun it still is pure enjoyment and fun to me!! So not the the original's 10 score, but for me really damn close to it. Go into the movie with your eyes open and ready for some hold onto your seat fun and you will be fine!!… Expand

It was clear from the start what the problem was going to be, but I found most of the movie was unpredictable and put me onJurassic World is a thriller action movie with certain instances of cute dinosaurs that makes it a well rounded movie. It was clear from the start what the problem was going to be, but I found most of the movie was unpredictable and put me on the edge of my seat just when I was starting to feel comfortable there would be not jump scares.

This movie is another great example of what would happen if humans were to raise dinosaurs, but this movie faces the problem of what will happen if humans were to genetically modified a dinosaur to be a certain way, for example, a killing machine.

It reminded me our dim-witted humans are and could be if this were to ever happen in the future, and how we would have to be very careful to look after such incredible beasts that once ruled this planet.

I had no real complaints about the movie, I thought certain scenes where children were able to play, ride and feed baby dinosaurs was really cool and I was on the verge of tears when seeing many innocent dinosaurs get ripped to shreds. That Jurassic World!

The Movie itself was, like many criticised, nothing special, if we only look at the story arc and so on. HOWEVER, to me it did a lot of things, that I expected to be in the first films - like an actual park. The movie made me feel like a child again, and the finale even made me drop my jaw (like, for real). Another positve aspect is, that It was not to childish, in fact I think it was quite brutal for a 12+ rating.
There were many bad things about the film, for instance, the worst 3D effect I have ever scene, with some scenes, where the vfx were obviously unfinished.
However, the only important thing is, the film was fun and beautiful to watch.… Expand

Amazing two hour roller coaster ride, especially fantastic in IMAX 3D. You definitely get what you should expect, action, action and more action. Chris Pratt is hilarious, and the special effects are top notch.

Synopsis: The movie was Great it had good CGI and effects and great actors overall 9/10

Review: [spoilers for the first five minutes] The movie starts with two kids leaving to see there aunt who lives and works at Jurassic World and then stuff happens.
The beginning is a bit slow but the pace does pick up, the writing is good, but a bit predictable and the cast was really good, and the acting was mostly great but
at sometimes a bit weird. The CGI and effects are great the dinosaurs look great, but sometimes the CGI makes them look a bit fake or it just could be the fact that they
are dinosaurs. The references to the old movies are pretty good such as and old location being seen and explored, and one of the I.T guys wearing a Jurassic Park shirt.
Also the comedy is well timed and not overdone. The action is also spot on. so overall a 9/10

Viewing guide: I would recommend you don't take any kids under 8 - 10 to this movie because things die and there is blood but overall it could be a good movie

I took my wife to see this film opening weekend, and I was not at all disappointed.

Pros: -Gave just enough backstory on the human characters to make them seem human without lingering. -Strong special effects and cinematography with niceI took my wife to see this film opening weekend, and I was not at all disappointed.

Pros:
-Gave just enough backstory on the human characters to make them seem human without lingering.
-Strong special effects and cinematography with nice set pieces.
-Callbacks to the original film, done in good taste.
-Different from the other three movies, in that it now features a fully functional park.
-Did a good job selling certain story elements that could have been hard to swallow.
-Allowed me to suspend my disbelief.
-Nice social and economic commentary, that actually fit within the film.
-A nice combination of action, adventure, horror, and comedy.
-I enjoyed all of the characters, aside from the one mentioned below.
-Product placement was prominent, but it actually fit given the context of the film.

Cons:
-Plot is pretty silly...but it's a Summer blockbuster. Think about how dumb the plot of "The Rock" really was for a minute, or even the original "Jurassic Park" which had some major plot holes. This is not some human interest drama, and it shouldn't be regarded as such. Still, the story is not strong.
-Vincent D'Onofrio's character was poorly performed and came off cartoonish and a little too over-the-top. His already silly ideas are made less believable by the performance.

All-in-all, it delivered exactly what I wanted it to. There is no way to capture the "magic" of the original. There's no going back in time. We've experienced that already. What this film does is stand on its own. I would rank this as the second best of the series, behind only the first.… Expand
