However, after watching the film, I can confidently say that it was a thrilling and entertaining addition to the franchise.

One of the standout features of the movie was the visual effects. The dinosaurs were incredibly realistic and the action scenes were well choreographed, which made for an immersive and thrilling experience. The setting of the park itself was also impressive, with the attention to detail adding to the believability of the world.

The cast of the movie was also excellent. Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard both gave strong performances and had good chemistry onscreen. The supporting cast also added to the film, with memorable characters such as the villainous Hoskins, played by Vincent D'Onofrio.

While the plot of the movie was somewhat predictable and formulaic, it still managed to keep me engaged throughout. The pacing was well done, with plenty of action interspersed with moments of humor and character development.

Overall, I would highly recommend Jurassic World to fans of the franchise and anyone looking for a thrilling, action-packed movie experience. While it may not reach the heights of the original Jurassic Park, it is still a worthy addition to the series and a fun ride for audiences of all ages.

Thriller. An absolute blast from start to finish with an amazing ending. The Indominus Rex spreads fear every time it's on screen. They didn't make a dinosaur. They made a monster.

Growing up watching and admiring the original “Jurassic Park” while wondering what it would have been like if the park actually opened and wanting a modern adaptation for my generation and a future for the island that me and so many othersGrowing up watching and admiring the original “Jurassic Park” while wondering what it would have been like if the park actually opened and wanting a modern adaptation for my generation and a future for the island that me and so many others knew and loved; I was pleased to finally see that come to life in theaters while honoring its predecessor in a way that was self aware of the Dino-Madness and still making it feel grounded and real. Every second was filled with wonder and dread of what was going to come, bringing suspense and smart scares that didn’t always stick the landing but kept things entertaining none the less. Jurassic World is as good as sequels get when it comes to continuing the stories that the original classics left us with. Expand

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. I’m so torn on how to rank this movie

78/100

On one hand this movie is great fun and constant entertainment, coupled with dinosaurs and nostalgia and modern-age technology. But on the other hand it’s a constant stream of product placement and lazy writing. The movie does well in answering questions posed by the original trilogy, for example it is nice that the movie explains why the dinosaurs do not look realistic. It also has really good CGI for the most part, it is a shame they didn’t use much animatronic dinosaurs but they returned to this in the sequel so I’ll let them off. The action scenes and setting are really well thought out and the film is beautiful. It brings the concept to life.

But, the writing and the mistakes and decisions made by ‘scientists’ and ‘experts’ is laughable. Why on earth did they think to put people into the I-Rex paddock without thoroughly checking first. Why did they go after the dinosaur with men on the ground instead of attempting to tranquillise it from a helicopter (like you do in the Jurassic World Evolution games). Why are the protocols for asset out of containment so bad, I could go on and on about the fictional park’s poor management but it stems from lazy writing The movie is good, it’s better than JPIII and rivals JP Lost World, it could’ve been so much better if it didn’t advertise a Mercedes every minute. However, it is a very good movie, so long as you don’t deep the plot too heavily. Was a lack of screen time for Rexy though.

TheThe original Jurassic Park still is a personal favourite, it is an enormously fun, thrilling (with some nail-biting moments) and brilliantly made film, with one of John Williams' most memorable main themes and scene-stealing dinosaurs. The Lost World has its admirers, but for me it was a major step-down and one of Spielberg's weakest films, and Jurassic Park 3 was even more disappointing.

Jurassic World is not a patch on the first Jurassic Park and I didn't quite find it the return to form that it has been touted as, but for all its faults and uneven parts it is a massive improvements on the previous two sequels and is an entertaining film in its own right that does more right than it does wrong.

First things off, Jurassic World is an incredibly well-made film, it's beautifully shot with scenery that's both colourful and atmospheric and the dinosaurs look wonderful. The dinosaurs also steal the film, not just their designs but also that they're lots of fun and are scary, their scenes are great to watch and there could have been even more than there were. This is especially true with the Indominus Rex, who is chillingly bloodthirsty, when she is stalking her prey it's enough to be glued to one's seat and then jump out of it. Michael Giacchino's music score is positively stirring, and even includes themes from Williams' score for Jurassic Park, which was just a lovely homage and fits within the rest of the scoring beautifully.

The film's homages are most enjoyable and give the film a nostalgic quality, some of it is savvy and funny and while not as much as the original there's still a good of thrills and scares to be had. The latter half is often very exciting, the film is efficiently directed, doing nicely in maintaining the tension, and the acting is good (though one does wish that the characters were written better). Chris Pratt has a likable and warm presence, as well as a nice wit, and Bryce Dallas Howard is similarly good even with the most problematically written character. Vincent D'Onofrio makes a real effort making his somewhat one-note and underused character more interesting than he deserves to be and does bring some intensity.

However, Jurassic World does contain some large problems. Not all the acting works, Judy Greer for my tastes was annoying in places and the children's acting was often too forced and their back story goes nowhere. The script and story are uneven, with the script it has its moments but it can be a bit muddled, as a result of trying to do too much at times, some of the dialogue is very weak and can induce cringes and some of the reversals are really out of place. It also could have done a much better developing the characters, because they felt very underdeveloped and clichéd, especially Claire, and any character arcs come off clumsily or aren't explored enough, particularly for the children. Owen and Claire's romance can slow the film down and does contain some forced dialogue. The story is at least never really dull, and excites more than it limps, but at the same time it does lack the wonder, consistent suspense, smartness and originality that Jurassic Park had. It does feel like a too predictable rehash at times, does feel muddled tonally, the exposition in the first half hour does go on for far too long and doesn't really say anything interesting and the ending is too silly and anti-climactic for my tastes.

All in all, uneven and not on the same level as the original Jurassic Park, but a very entertaining well made film and by far the best of the sequels. 6.5/10 Bethany Cox

The story is not a miracle, but it does not offend. After all, this film is not so much about the story, but rather about the dinosaurs, which I must admit, they look breathtaking and overall the CGI in this film is godly. The soundtrack is just OK. For me, this is a good film, but maybe my friend crazy about dinosaurs absolutely enjoyed the film with the words that it was the best film he had ever seen and he would give 10/10. So if you love dinosaurs, like one of my friends, you should enjoy the film very much, but even if you don't need these monsters already dead today, I recommend the film because it's great. Expand

Although it is not as revolutionary, new and original as the first Jurassic Park, it is still, in my opinion, better that the two sequels of Jurassic Park. They tried to put some new vibes into it, the family, and also the psychology of the genetic hybrid, which was risky, but it worked out. Overally a pretty nice movie. Expand

Graceful, popcorn filled thrilling and tense, taught and energetic. This trilogy gets much better as it goes on.
Successfully expands from park to world. Truly, it's a Jurassic world after all. Even though Steven Spielberg didn't direct it, he's still the executive producer. The visuals were thrilling and spectacular and so was the plot line. As the time passes on, the visuals get more artistic and realistic. This trilogy series never wears out it's welcome, I wonder what they will think of next Jurassic Space? I hope this film continues to receive critical acclaim as it's a dazzling popcorn thriller and it's emotionally and visually exciting.

I think in the fifth film, there should be dinosaurs in space or the dinosaurs are attacking aliens. The CGI gets better as the years go on and it successfully replicates and in some ways improves the behaviours of the dinosaurs when they react with humans with the dinosaurs violent behaviours sure to thrill the entire audience!

The direction and thrills are on point here along with a fantastic and likable performance by Chris Pratt. The main baddy is the genetically modified super predator known as the Indominus Rex, its a cool and formidable foe for the film and was an interesting villain to introduce to the franchise. The film relies heavily on nostalgia at times when it doesn't have to and aside from Grady, Hoskins, Barry (played by Omar Sy), Cruthers and the return of Henry Wu; alot of the characters are a mixed bag. I found Claire to be a bit annoying and her nephews (especially the youngest) to be equally annoying. Theres also a needless divorce subplot that offers nothing to the film in the grand scheme of things and Pratt and Howard have absolutely no chemistry. Plus the CGI isn't that great or at least it could have been better. But as a whole, this film does alot of things right. It served as a fine reintroduction to the franchise and I thought breathed a new life into the Jurassic Park franchise. Expand

But its aged well since. Throughout its theatrical run II think everyone had high expectations walking into this. From all the buzz it was the first great film since the first. With those highs I couldn't help but be slightly disappointed. But its aged well since. Throughout its theatrical run I found a love for the film and started looking at it on it's own terms. Besides sexy and charming Chris Pratt in the lead. Bryce Dallas Howard kicks major butt, the kids are good and the supporting cast are solid. The story is both familiar and refreshing and the FX are pretty spectacular as is the park they have created. In a sense it's sort of a reimagining of the first film and it does a solid job of doing some fun stuff with the treatment. Nothing could ever really come close to Spielberg's masterpiece in my eyes but this does a reputable job of being a solid follow up and the best since the first.

The visuals are fantastic with a return of several great dinosaurs and a great design throughout Jurassic World. Also, the action scenes are amazing with several great intense moments. Chris Pratt does a great job at his role. Unlike Jurassic Park from over 20 years ago, the story is not great with the two boys feeling complete unnecessary and only as a way to throwback to the first film. Also, the series is now becoming more ridiculous with the inclusion of a hybrid dinosaur, the Indominous Rex. It does not help that In-Gen has now became completely militarized. Another problems is the characters as most of them are forgettable and underdeveloped. Chris Pratt's character Owen is the only one that was memorable while the rest were very forgettable. While Bryce Dallas Howard had a great performance, her character, Claire, was not great, and the boys were unnecessary to the plot as I stated earlier. Fallen Kingdom which I've seen in cinema and thought it was good and thinking that it is the same thing The Lost World and then they're making a sixth and last film and the Jurassic Park and World franchise is finally wrapped up. The story, I don't know how to say it, is the same thing as the original but doing it in a different way but you know what? It really works. Chris Pratt is really good in this since he starred and gained his fame in Guardians of the Galaxy. The park called Jurassic Park is created by John Hammond and then it's recreated into a new park called Jurassic World. Like I before, the dinosaurs are the best thing about it and one of them which is an Indominus rex escapes and goes on a rampage. BD Wong returns as Dr. Henry Wu, Lex and Tim are two grandchildren from the original and now it's the two boys called Zach and Gray. They're not annoying like I said in the original Jurassic Park. And there's is one thing that is important for the fans and that is the Tyrannosaurus rex appearing and fighting the Indominus. The best part about it is the end and it is all in sequence. Jurassic World is a fantastic popcorn thrilling blockbuster with good visuals which are not as good as the original but still good but the film has it's flaws because the story has the same elements from the original. Jurassic World is not as good as the Jurassic Park but everything about it it just impossible to hate and it made billions of dollars. The Jurassic Park films are fantastic. But the third film is not as good and it's hit and miss for people but I don't mind it. Jurassic World is the best film of 2015 and it feels like **** Valley. Expand

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view.

And to be honest, "Jurassic World" wasn't on my radar at all, I kinda wanted to see it just to weigh in on all the hype and box-office records. And all things considered, the film was good, just nothing excellent. It's nowhere near as impactful or revolutionary as the first film, but on it's own, it's a visually stunning, considerably exciting, solidly-acted film. It's not for everyone, and the huge box office numbers might cause a bit of hype backlash, but otherwise, "Jurassic World" is a pretty good film that's worth at least one watch. Expand

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. If you like dinosaurs, this is the movie for you. Once the action starts, it gets you pumped, and you feel genuinely terrified of the films main villian (Indominus Rex). It has some pretty good acting, and the humor is not forced or in your face. The ending is a great call back to original Jurassic Park fans, with the T-Rex, or Rexy. The final battle is intense and well done. Overall great film. Expand

This is also a continuation of the trilogy Jurassic Park. In the previous Jurassic Park, the park was never able to open to the public because of the lack containment of the animals. This year in Jurassic World, the park has been authorized to be released to the public. Replacing the old park, lies the new park. Jurassic World is a park contained with genetically modified, prehistoric dinosaurs. Claire is a park operations manager, and the aunt of visitors Zach and Gray Mitchell. Scientists created a hybrid to become a new attraction to the park, because “No one is impressed by a dinosaur anymore,” said Claire. The dinosaur’s name is the Indominus Rex, and has been in captivity all it’s life. The Indominus Rex is transfused with many mixed dinosaur and other animal’s DNA. The base geno is the Tyrannosaurus Rex (a.k.a the T-Rex). Other genetic mixtures are cuttlefish, tree frog, and many other genes I will not specify. The dinosaur is up for review with the park owner Simon Masrani. He feels former military man Owen Grady (Chris Pratt) should observe it to examine for vulnerabilities. The dinosaur happened to escape its cage and has started wreaking havoc to everything that moves. One of the things I really loved was the visual graphics and effects. First of all, The dinosaurs look amazing. The texture of their skin, the claws, and facial expressions of the dinosaurs were amazing. Especially, when the Indominus showed its face. The bone structure looks almost perfect. The jaw on the dinosaurs are expanded to the fullest point. When the dinosaurs roar, the screen shakes and trembles. The detail of the teeth are picture perfect. It makes the intimidation level seem much more frightening. When they roar, you see the slob and blood fall from their teeth of their last kill. I think it is really cool how they made it. It almost makes me feel like I’m looking at it myself. The final dino battle was legendary. The way they were bumping each other into the buildings and destroying it looked really divine. The lights had an electric spark upon impact. It made the room light up in the dark. All the wood and bricks were falling. The dinosaur’s blood is glistening in the light and blood leaking everywhere. I just thought the visual effects in this movie were epic. Another thing I loved were the sound effects/music. The sound effects were on point. The way the dinosaurs stomp on the ground is intimidating. For an example, one of the scenes where the Indominus broke out of its cage, Owen is trapped under a car after being chased. He’s laying on the ground trying not to be spotted by the Indominus. The dinosaur is walking around the car trying to pick up a scent. The way the dinosaur’s foot collided with the ground was really loud, along with a rumble as an aftershock. I had my TV at almost max volume to experience it as if I was in the situation myself. The TV stand shook and vibrated upon the dinosaur stomp. You should have saw my face. I was in a shock on how realistic it felt. Also, I like the theme music. Every time the Indominus is searching for the characters, the music starts playing. For instance, when the Zach, Gray, and Owen were hiding in a building, the dinosaur is slowly picking up their scent. The music played and the dinosaur is slowly inching up to the building, while showing its deadly teeth. The music gave me chills. This is how you know that something is going to happen. The music attracts me to sci-fi and thriller movies.

Overall this movie was fantastic. Hammond previously had a dream that he can open up a park with dinosaurs. It failed because the dinosaurs escaped its cages. So the park has never opened up. Finally, Hammond’s dream has finally come true. They have prevailed Hammond's idea to attempt to open up the park again. So they decided to spice it up and do something different. I enjoyed that they made a genetically hybrid dinosaur, and is scary and very unique. The thing is dinosaurs cannot be contained. They are powerful creatures, especially the Indominus. “Hammond, after careful consideration, I've decided, not to endorse your park,” said Allan Grant from Jurassic Park.

Who did not love dinosaurs when they were little? Back in the 90’s, they had the first movie called Jurassic Park. then they later made Jurassic Park: The Lost World and then Jurassic Park Three. In my opinion, the third one is the best, but this movie is a close second. It basically is about these two boys who go to Jurassic World to visit their aunt whom they have not seen in seven years. Their aunt is the person who is in charge of the park. In the park, there is a dinosaur that is a mutation of a T-Rex and a Velociraptor. The creature escapes from the cage and brings terror across the island. Many are injured and a lot of dinosaurs die. The aunt, her friend Owen, and the two boys are trying to find a way to survive the dangerous dinosaur. I have grown up watching these movies, and the only one that has disappointed me was the second one. It never impressed me. I like the characters from the first one and the third one. Even though this movie does not have them, it is still a pretty good movie. The movie is pretty graphic though. You get to see people get eaten by dinosaurs. How cool is that? I never knew that humans could be eaten by something that has not existed for over a millions of years. Also in the movie, you also get a little romance. Watching this movie, I was very impressed with all of the animation. The dinosaurs looked so real. Since it has been so long since the last one had came out, no one knew what to expect out of it. When I saw the previews of it, I got so excited because I had loved the original movies so much. Watching these movies when I was younger made me love dinosaurs today, but it also made me very fascinated with them. Usually when there is a movie that is done 20 years later it is never good, but this movie is worth the time to watch. Expand

In no way is Jurassic World better than the original. Not that it was ever going to be, but still.

Jurassic World was a risky movie, as it could evidently derail the entire franchise as a whole and make it sink into cinema history. And yes, I'll admit, it was very sloppy and stupid at points. However, there's just something about Jurassic World that is appealing to any Jurassic Park fan like myself, as it does, on occasion, slip some great homage to the original.

The cast does great and are perfectly cast in their roles, especially Chris Pratt at the head of the main cast. The special effects are terrific, and that end fight scene for all those who saw it... you just have to admit that was awesome.

The kids' story in the movie is a bit rushed and convoluted, basically just being thrown in there so the film can squeak another twenty minutes of run-time. But it doesn't matter that much in the overall context and outcome of the plot.

It's a fun, exciting, even if oddly dumb popcorn flick, and that's exactly what it needed to be.

The science of genetically designing new species of dinosaurs - Indominus Rex - was pretty fascinating. I'd go so far as saying this film could've been a hit as a mockumentary. But instead, they have to play out the worst-case-scenario and that's when all the implausibility happens and everyone goes, "gimme a break", like when the two kids outrun I-Rex at first, and then every time after that. When leads Owen and Claire go all "Romancing the Stone" on us running through the jungle with no training and in street clothes, and when all the flying dinos get loose in the park mall, everyone's just running around in the open getting picked off one by one like Hitchcock's "The Birds" on steroids. Then the final dino fight scene could've been superiorly epic but the director had to keep weaving the leads in which just added more and more stupid. The film's SFX were fabulous but forcing the integration of humans with them was this film's primary failing, as it is in so many other films. Recent films that stand out by getting this right include: Pacific Rim, Into the Storm, and Mad Max: Fury Road. Expand

This time around Spielberg was not only faced with the task of making this one better than the last but it also had to be good enough to draw attention away from the previous two movies and help the audience mend the mental scars that they had left behind.
Spielberg set on a quest to create something that would make the Jurassic Park fan base happy. With the new advances in technology since the other movies had been made, primarily CGI, this task was easily accomplished and provided an array of dinosaurs that were stupefying in composure and more realistic than one could have predicted. With a few key actors in the movie such as Chris Pratt, the movie instantly had a good amount of viewers anxiously waiting to see his most recent performance and determine how it stacked up to his other works. What makes the movie even better, depending on how you look at it, they even provided a little bit of romance as well as the family aspect in order to broaden the intended audience and attract even more viewers. As for the inevitable dinosaur throw down that is the main reason why people choose to watch these movies, Spielberg definitely follows through and delivers an amazing display of a dinosaur-death match. In all, the film has its high points also followed by lows but it delivers in the important parts that were vital in creating a good film.

Fun movie with lots of action, laughs, and plenty of nostalgia. Pure popcorn enjoyment.

The only issues are with people who can't 'suspend disbelief'. Is it ridiculous? Absolutely. It's pure ridiculous fun!

Anyway, having said that, I enjoyed this one. Chris Pratt was very good in it and so was Bryce Dallas Howard. There were, of course, a few flaws: There's this thing where the kids' parents are getting divorced that doesn't have any relevance to the plot, the ending line fell flat and-the most ridiculous thing-how on earth was Bryce Dallas Howard able to outrun a friggin' T-Rex in HIGH HEELS? But, problems aside, the movie delivered just what I wanted-people running for their lives while getting chased by dinosaurs. I don't know how it compares to the first movie but it's an entertaining film all the same. Expand

Sometimes what happens seems a bit cliché and I still don't get why the two main characters needed to start a relationship (another unneeded plot line) but overall these don't distract much. Not a must-see, but definitely good. Expand

This fourth instalment in the series is another engaging sequel and another dazzling popcorn thriller. From park to world, what are they going to think of next? "Jurassic Space" where aliens invade Earth and the humans and dinosaurs must learn how to communicate and cooperate with each other to save the planet? Now that's interesting. Seriously, this trilogy gets even more tense, taught, energetic, and even more interesting. As it goes on. Can't wait to see the fifth film in 2018. Expand

Before you starting to throw rocks at me, here is the only reason why i think this movie is the best in the series (including the original) - simply because it is superbly entertaining.

The first film had a groundbreaking special effects, and the first hour or so was amazing, but when the shix hit the fan, it wasn't so exciting anymore. I always believed the human characters were weak in the first movie, although actors and acting were very solid, somehow for me second part of the movie was simply boring. Yes. Second movie was the worst Steven Spielberg's movie yet, even Steven Spielberg have admit it. The third was OK, better then 2nd by a mile.

That said, "Jurassic World" should have been the true sequel to the original. It is bigger, louder and more entertaining - everything that a good sequel must have. Special effects in here are truly special, i don't see any movie this year who could steal the best special effects Oscar from "Jurassic World" - they aren't groundbreaking, but they are truly spectacular. Acting was very cool, as well as cinematography and very solid directing. Now i kinda see why this guy will helm one of the new "Star Wars" movies, which about i was skeptical before seeing "Jurassic World".

Overall, "Jurassic World" is a highly entertaining movie. Best of all is to see it with friends on the biggest screen possible, it is a helluva entrainment, not a perfect one, but the best from this franchise yet.

Brings back so many childhood memories. Nothing beats the first one but this one's worth a watch too.

A pretty mindless, very predictable and at times silly story.... but nonetheless fun to watch. If you were a kid when the original came out (I was 12 years old) then you'll enjoy this movie all the more.
