Cool movie. An entertaining, satisfying movie actually went above my expectations. Yes, Sofia Vergara's accent is pretty annoying, and yes, the movie has tons of flat jokes, it was watchable.

Such a waste of effort which had so many possibilities. It's hard to mix serious with comedy. They should have left the serious and silliness out, and this would have been a much better movie.

This is a fun lightweight movie -don't understand all the negative reviews. It's not the comedy of the century, but its a pleasant way to enjoy an hour and a half. .

Witherspoon and Vergara do have chemistry together, but a lack of decent gags means this buddy comedy vehicle is running on empty.

Let's just pretend this movie never happened, and we still all love Reese. It's even lower than horrible, it destroys expectations and butchers my love for Reese Witherspoon. Hot Pursuit looks like a movie made for the Razzies. And it provesLet's just pretend this movie never happened, and we still all love Reese. It's even lower than horrible, it destroys expectations and butchers my love for Reese Witherspoon. Hot Pursuit looks like a movie made for the Razzies. And it proves it as well. The movie is painfully unfunny, badly acted and even badly written. I thought that the jokes were overused, Sofia Vergara's Jokes were lacklustre, Witerspoon's cop character fell short of expectations and the whole movie collapsed leading to the horrible climax. The movie has absolutely no funny comedy, no good acting and the interaction between Vergara and Witherspoon's characters doesn't click, it's not funny, and people will know it. There is absolutely no reason this movie should exist. Ignore Hot Pursuit.… Expand

Hands down this is one of the best comedies of the year. You need to be open-minded and understand the latin jokes, and in that way you can enjoy the movie. Amazing actors on it. Sofia and Reese both did a great job.

HOT PURSUIT is so bad that you simply feel sad for the talent involved. And there is talent. Reese Witherspoon in particular has proven herself time and time again. I'm sure everyone related to this pic wishes it had turned out bettter. TheHOT PURSUIT is so bad that you simply feel sad for the talent involved. And there is talent. Four ladies saw this movie and laughed their butts off. We thoroughly enjoyed this movie! It is fun! So maybe some of the plot points are hard to swallow, but there are some funny running gags throughout that cracked us all up. ReeseFour ladies saw this movie and laughed their butts off. Reese Witherspoon is adorable as the by the book female cop trying desperately to live up to her father's reputation while overcoming an unfortunate mistake that the other cops joke about. Sofia Vergara is exactly what you would expect as the drug lord wife who lives in luxury and insists on dragging her suitcase behind her while wearing impossibly high heels. The two ladies butt heads at every turn, but ultimately have to count on each other to stay alive. This movie will never win any Oscars, but for regular, non-critical movie goers, it is a fun one if all you want is to be entertained. Go see it! Especially you ladies. You will get a kick out of it.… Expand

terrible writing, awful plot, mediocre acting, stupid scenes meant to be "funny", AND THAT GOD AWFUL SPANISH ACCENT. This movie isn't the " seductive comedy" of the year. I thought it was very funny and was watching it with several others of different ages who agreed and don't understand why it is getting such a slating. Really enjoyable movie and would recommend.

A popcorn flick in all regards. If you're seeking mindless enjoyment, you won't be disappointed. Let me put it this way: this movie sucked bad enough to make a Kevin James movie look Oscar-worthy. I've sat through some pretty bad movies in the past, this is in the first in a while that I've wanted a refund halfway-through.

Witherspoon brings lots of spunk to her role, but the script is no help. Fans of "Modern Family" (where Vergara is so hilarious) can appreciate the writing on THAT show, because THIS movie demonstrates how good writing is vital to making her delivery work. Lack of any exciting action and an entirely predictable plot doesn't help. The movie is crammed with energy and plenty of sassy back and forth…just none of it's funny.… Expand

Comedies involving a crook and a cop being partnered together on the run and eventually becoming friends are nothing new. What sets this one apart is the fact that the leads are women. It's no secret these types of roles are almost alwaysComedies involving a crook and a cop being partnered together on the run and eventually becoming friends are nothing new. What sets this one apart is the fact that the leads are women. It's no secret these types of roles are almost always played by men. That's not what makes the movie so enjoyable though. That would be the sharp writing.

A few gags do fall short every now and then, but the majority of the film is filled with hilarious dialog. Witherspoon and Vergara are very talented and have great chemistry. They bounce the material off one another well. There are many laughs in store.

The setup isn't really anything original. Just an excuse to get these two ladies together. It's got your standard shootouts that way to many comedies are using nowadays, but the jokes keep things entertaining. The movie also puts it's own twist on things by actually having these two at odds with one another right up until the end. More so than other, similar movies have done.

Overall it is a very funny movie. One whose qualities are amplified by it's talented and likable leading ladies. So if you are looking for laughs this movie delivers. It also has the nice ability to make some of it's familiar elements feel fresh again.… Expand

This was a stupid film. I felt I needed to stress 'stupid' by repetition at least three times, but I think people are smart enough to understand my emphasis on the word. A dismal comedy and a criminal waste of talent, Hot Pursuit regurgitates every buddy cop cliche in the book and uses the two talented leads in the most ineffective way possible. Unfunny, lazy, and not worth anyone's time.

90 minutes of wasted time. After a while, the whole plot get boring. Very disappointing performances by Vergara and Witherspoon, and very disappointing directing by Anne Fletcher.

There seems to be nothing good about this film and even when you do find something good, it gets destroyed by a movie virus that turns every movie bad and rotten. Watch out for those viruses.

I fail to see what is so horrible about the film. If anything, It completely surpassed my expectations. I found it lighthearted and entertaining, which is what the movie was going for.
