This probably would have been better off as a series rather than a movie. It's what it felt like, and possibly still could be. Either way, I thought it was solidly funny. Either way, I thought it was solidly funny. Jeffs character plays the likable next door neighbor who is a detective. A lot of the dialogue seems ad libbed with characters making jokes on the fly, you almost feel like you're watching friends having a good time whilst also making a movie, which is fine when it works, and thankfully it does here for the most part. Just don't expect any aerial, high crane or helicopter camera shots with a endless budget here and you'll be fine. As the start of a series I'd give it an 8. But as a stand alone movie I give it a 7.… Expand
