Movie was okay. I love Michael Myers and they did a good job portraying him and how vicious he is. The story was okay nothing really too special but okay. When you're holding a gun why would you run up to someone 3 ft away to try and shoot them. Or in a huge group try to take on someone one at a time. The ending was pretty cool with that little twist but just couldn't get over how dumb everyone was. Overall it was an okay movie probably won't watch it again for a long time. To be honest glad I streamed it for $10 rather than pay $40 at the cinema.… Expand

I don't really know what to say. It started off fine and followed the intro with music, which I enjoyed, but then it started to be about nothing in my opinion. This movie just felt so empty to me. For example, if I look at the previous installment from 2018, that one had a plot in my opinion. Here, there is something going on, but it feels so empty, without a purpose. There's even a moment that I thought was pretty overdone. They're still putting the events of the original Halloween movie in here and I don't know, but I just didn't like it and my opinion is that they should have stuck with the 2018 movie and not made a sequel. The only good thing here in my opinion are the scenes with Michael murdering his victims. Those are really good. But the rest of the movie is a misery for me and in the end it is a mediocre movie that I don't recommend.… Expand

I have been a huge fan of the series for about 25 years. I have seen all of them several times over and would class this as one of the more middling entries. * Slight Spoilers ahead* Every time they start to go down the supernatural pureI have been a huge fan of the series for about 25 years. I have seen all of them several times over and would class this as one of the more middling entries. * Slight Spoilers ahead* Every time they start to go down the supernatural pure evil forces route I lose interest pretty quickly as I find the notion of Michael being simple man and mortal much more compelling. I also noticed that Michael seemed more sadistic in the way that he kills people in this film which seemed out of place with his usual robotic nature. The kills themselves were all great and all you should expect from a slasher movie.
I know a lot of people weren't too fond of the various flashbacks but I personally felt that they added something to the story, especially the first one which obviously fills in a lot of gaps in the narrative. I also personally appreciated the cameo appearances of some of the characters from the original Halloween (78) movie.
All in all I think this entry was a lot weaker than the 2018 entry and I think the decision to go the rote that they chose with the supernatural element spoiled it for me considerably.… Expand

The 1978 Halloween is perfect because the mixed between tense, performance, goryness, and performance is incredibly well made, the 2018 Halloween was pretty good but somehow someway for me it didn't really feel like Halloween, however,The 1978 Halloween is perfect because the mixed between tense, performance, goryness, and performance is incredibly well made, the 2018 Halloween was pretty good but somehow someway for me it didn't really feel like Halloween, however, Halloween Kills is feels more like the original Halloween and the movie win the most in the goryness (probably the best in terms of that), though it lacks with the story and one stupid scene, Halloween Kills is still fills with a great performance by all the cast, the music, and everytime there is a Michael Myers scene it was a perfect 10/10, overall, Halloween Kills is surprisingly a very solid film.… Expand

The ending was the funniest part, When I saw Michael Myers get jumped by 30 people. He got shot six times in the chest and beaten to death with a baseball bat and stabbed in the neck. All for him to get up and kill everyone with his kitchen knife. One of the funniest movie of the year. If you need a laugh you should go watch this movie.… Expand

This is definitely on par with the original and in some ways it is better. Michael Myers is a force to be reckoned with...I can honestly say at age 40 something...I am as scared after watching Halloween Kills as I was at age 7...I didn't expact it to actually be scary. I give it 10 out of 10. Congratulations to everyone in the cast and crew. Well done...Dr Loomis would be proud. … Expand

I actually really enjoyed this movie as opposed to the last one. They basically removed the cringe feminism that plagued the end of the last movie and let Michael do his thing. If you want a bit of fun and another gruesome slasher this is for you if Micheal is your favourite there are great scenes that when you get to them you know it's going to appeal go have fun because that's what the director has done.

This is really disappointing. I didn’t have high hopes as I didn’t really enjoy the previous film, Halloween (2018). I’ll start with what I liked, it was very violent and the gore looked very real. The film overall looked amazing, really beautiful cinematography. Also it sounded great, a very high-end production. Now for the negative, the story wasn’t good at all, laughable actually. The acting was often disappointing. The characters are dull at best. The big John little John thing was so annoying. Really bad directorial and writing choices. It should have been called Michael Myers vs Haddonfield. The fan service was horribly forced into the film. This is the second worst sequel in the franchise after Halloween: Resurrection (2002). Worst of all it is not scary, no jump scares, no tension, no excitement.… Expand

There is a little change of pace in that the town decides to go after Michael Myers instead of waiting to be killed by him, but the execution of it was ridiculous with an interlude about an escaped inmate that was boring and wasted time. The ending was such a blatant money grab; the producers are basically saying Michael Myers can never die because if he did there would be no more ability to make money grabbing sequels. Stabbing him in the back instead of cutting his neck off or unloading bullets into his head? Really?… Expand

Clearly a film made with great passion and love for the original 2 movies. However this this iteration sadly misses all the tension building opportunities instead using quick cut edits and reams of exposition to build an almost fantasy film level of lore for michael myers and as a result the whole thing comes off as a massive budget fan film. Its a real shame as i think with a less ambitious roster of extravagant kills, this really could've been as tense and scary as the carpenter original however the choices made by the direction and editing (and over the top kill after kill) just detached me from feeling, well anything at all. While i found it an entertaining watch, only a very particular nich of audience will be truly statisfied by this movie.… Expand

Micael is back to being unkill-able. He gets shot, stabbed, beaten, clubbed with a bag of bricks. Maybe they thought he was Jason from part 8 under that mask. By the end I was hoping he would just kill the whole damn town. The end is rushed with some of the worst kills in any horror movie. The 2018 movie was made to get away from the all around stupid, while this moves jumps back in the dumbass empty pool head first.… Expand

This is a horrible movie! People are saying it’s gory. That is putting extremely mildly. This is the goriest, most sadistic movie I have seen in a very long time. Be warned. It is over the top gory.

So lässt sich "Halloween Kills" als Chaos beschreiben, in dem vieles passiert, aber nichts wichtiges; der Film wirkt wie das Zwischenstück von Auftakt ("Halloween") und Finale ("Halloween Ends").

Halloween Kills I know this movie has hate but i do get it only for the kills is really what this movie was which is true but for me when i first watched it I really liked it I seen it three times now but watching it now in 2022 yes I still think this is one of my fav movies from this franchise because of Michael Myers alone well because I watch these movies of Myers when you watch the other ones you don't watch the characters to kill Myers you want Myers killing them is why I like this so much there is like 25+ kills in this I enjoy these side characters a lot as well i don't like they all get killed frustration like whyyy this is the main reason why these movies don't get a lot of love because they struggle to balance the comedy in these movies which shouldn't be in here at all and killing off characters you enjoy to see on screen ughhh but I really enjoyed this movie the score is weaker than the 2018 one but still good to match the movie but all round an killing fest that I like so I give Halloween Kills an A- 92%… Expand

Halloween kills is the 3rd best movie in the franchise behind only the original and the 2018 reboot. While the movie certainly has some issues it's a very worthy entry in the franchise and won't disappoint long time fans. This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. This movie is a pent-up fever dream. Halloween (2018) was a very simply executed slasher, but the story held it up and kept it interesting. It was more grounded in reality (except for a few moments, Michael Myers kicking a car in half comes to mind.) then this new film. This movie clearly just wanted to fix one major criticism with Halloween (2018) which was it didn't show much of the killing. This movie fixes that at least and nothing else. But where Halloween kills drops the ball for me, is because Michael just keeps killing and killing and the story has zero pacing. It's just, Michael kills this person, then move onto the next. And for some reason they brought back the kids from the original movie as "survivors" but he ends up killing them at the end of the movie, so I don't understand the point of bringing them back in the first place.

Now even though this movie makes no sense, it is enjoyable in the sense to see the updated technology. I mean you'll get plenty enjoyment out of this movie if you just want to see Michael killing people. However, for the rest of us, the story is very lackluster and has no pacing whatsoever. The director is also falling back on the older Halloween movies and timeline, by making Michael pretty much immortal. Which makes absolutely no sense, because it pulls out all the stakes because the characters might as well just give up because they can never beat Michael. And it seems that they just keep killing off characters but have no idea how to do it properly. So, in summary, it is a truly baffling experience. The story took a nosedive compared to the other film that just came out three years before hand. Try not to get invested in any of the characters, because they will be used as an excused to just be killed off. The only enjoyment out of this film you will get, is seeing Michael killing people with the updated technology. But other than that, the movie is a big MEH and doesn't end properly.… Expand

Hospital scenes (which were majority of the movie) were chaotic, confusing and underdeveloped. You can't feel that scene. Ending, which needed to be strong was weak and unnecessary.

· Cosas malas: El festival de vísceras le quita importancia al mensaje, lo opaca. El montaje, sobre todo al final, es raruno, tiene giros algo ridículos y hacía falta más Laurie.

this movie isnt scary either but thats fine in my opinion a slasher doesn't need to be scary as long as its entertaining but i cant really describe this as entertaining either since so many of the deaths were so cheap it made it boring to watch because it became very predictable and you could say that about a lot of slashers but this movie takes it to a new level with how predictable it is… Expand

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Halloween Ends Extended Cut: So clarification this a baby review of the extended cut and my up to date thoughts on the movie as a whole. Most of my thoughts have stayed the same but I never went into to much detail for the bad things like the old legacy characters Tommy in concept bringing him back was a cool thing executed poorly because all he does is make things a hell of a lot worse, starting riots and making a innocent man kill himself that’s not a hero. Back to the ending theatrical was a great move to set up the next movie I actually like it. What I don’t like is how Michael comes back a whole group of people shooting, and beating Michael as soon as Karen (Judy Greer) just stabs Myers in the neck NOT IN THE HEAD then he gets up and kills the whole mob, like what why not take your guns and shoot him in the head. For the extended cut ending the only thing they added after Michael kills Karen we cut back to Laurie calling Karen on her phone, Myers picks up she hears him breathing and says “I’m coming for you Michael” and she walks down the hall with the knife in her hand. Why did they cut that I honestly really like it. More complaints the 1978 opening it lasts 15 minutes WHY. I get that it shows us about Hawkins but 15 minutes really, I do really like the Loomis thing though. But the improvement is the gore and oh my god, the eyeball gouging got extended and it’s glorious helps it’s all practical effects. Overall not a big improvement let’s just hope Halloween Ends is a lot better story wise. No ranking but I am going to change the original ranking… Expand

And after half a century, here we are again immersed in the town of Haddonfield, where a precocious serial-killer, the iconic Michael Myers, returns to terrorize anyone who comes in front of him: from the little girl, masterfully painted originally by a young Jamie Lee Curtis in the Carpenter's Halloween, down to the children she saved herself, found in this chapter; the latter almost explicitly follows the very first Halloween masterpiece: from the opening credits to the music, always composed by the master of horror, a veteran in this field of action. Laurie Strode therefore finds herself reliving the same nightmare once again: if in the previous chapter, she had tried to set fire to Evil personified, in this chapter, discovering the truth almost after an hour of film, all their hatred returns to vogue , which takes the exponential scale of the hospital, which has become a perfect symbol of schizophrenic society, whose victims become executioners: very touching and well represented is the scene in which one of the mentally ill previously escaped with Michael, and exchanged with him himself in front of the crowd angry in the hospital that follows him, she throws herself out the window, finding peace in suicide; therefore the victims, witness Michael's violence, and almost by mimesis, do violence themselves, giving rise to a cycle and recycling whereby blood draws blood. Extremely good music, almost perfect for any scene: Carpenter, just like wine, ages better and better, which is saying something given his career. The photography follows, as we have said, the progenitors of the horror genre of the twentieth century, making the viewer feel the grain, and those strong lights, referring in part to Suspiria by Dario Argento, a masterpiece of the 70s (also here the role of the woman in horror, who fights with another woman, with the almost absence of male roles). Myers consegue realmente ser a "personificação do mal" como dito no trailer, mas com cenas estranhas e incompreensíveis. O filme não passa de mais um da franquia, seguindo sempre a mesma linha de mortes atrás de mortes sem muitas explicações.

With endless deaths during the film, we can see that the script follows the same ideology as all the previous films. Nothing is as good as Carpenter's 1978 original, "Halloween." That being said, this new installment "Halloween Kills," is not even as good as "Halloween 3," which, you may remember, was the one that had nothing to do with Michael Meyers atNothing is as good as Carpenter's 1978 original, "Halloween." Instead, it involved a kids TV commercial that would make the viewer's head explode (ah, yes... the good old days). I digress, "Halloween Kills" does have a lot of blood and as the title suggests (drum roll): killing. I don't think I've ever seen another movie slash so many victims in an hour and a half...and I mean, literally, when Michael Meyers takes out an entire fire department, including the dogs, only at the beginning of the film, you better grab a large popcorn if gore is your thing. I'm not against egregious violence in films, and, in fact, enjoy a lot of disturbingly grisly movies; however, too much of it leaves little space for subtlety, plot, and ultimately scares.… Expand

Awful movie. I dont know what else to say I am a massive fan of the Franchise but this was probably the worst movie of the year personally. Very boring and Corny at most times. The script is pure cringe.
