While I did not enjoy C.M. Punk as the main character, this mixture of haunted house and body horror was a rewarding experience and I didn't really anticipate that.

Its course isn't always the most appropriate but its tone contributes a lotWhile I did not enjoy C.M. Punk as the main character, this mixture of haunted house and body horror was a rewarding experience and I didn't really anticipate that.

Its course isn't always the most appropriate but its tone contributes a lot to maintain the interest, especially because the film does not favor jump scares - Although it could've done it - and achieves an atmosphere more inclined towards psychological horror because after all the haunted house is actually the key element of the plot.

The ending didn't leave me satisfied, but the trip despite the bumps was entertaining. And between so much horror and of such poor quality, this is an option that actually stands out.… Expand

CM Punk's acting is so wooden that his screen presence increases 1000% when you pause the movie.

That said, if you can make it through the first half of the movie which I've disdainfully dubbed "This Old House with Phil Brooks," there are aCM Punk's acting is so wooden that his screen presence increases 1000% when you pause the movie.

That said, if you can make it through the first half of the movie which I've disdainfully dubbed "This Old House with Phil Brooks," there are a few scenes that try to entertain, and the third act tries to stick the landing in an interesting way. The operative word here is try. It's all just so aggressively passable... but at least the bogeywoman looked okay.… Expand
