Everything happens with a laconic pace and dry demeanor (music is minimal). The cast is full of strong actors, but it's Elle Fanning as Ginger who is exquisitely beautiful and compelling in every frame. Other than that, the dull pacing and minor drama is hard to handle.… Expand

Elle Fanning is remarkable here -- her delicacy and quiet depth slipping through every scene. Elsewhere, the film is technically solid but unremarkable, lacking narrative profundity and subtlety.
