The acting wasn't that bad, the special effects were okay, it was kinda violent and it was overall pretty entertaining.Sure, the movie was a little bit too long and he gets boring at times but, overall, it was a good movie.

I. Have. No idea how to review/explain or even advise as to who should watch this. It was wild, wildly imperfect and I really enjoyed it. I couldn’t tell for one second where it was going, but the plot still moved forward in an “okay, thatI. Have. No idea how to review/explain or even advise as to who should watch this. It was wild, wildly imperfect and I really enjoyed it. I couldn’t tell for one second where it was going, but the plot still moved forward in an “okay, that makes since” fashion. In some ways it reminds me of the Kevin Smith movie “Red State” were he kept adding twits to the story in keeping the audience guessing it’s destination, but “Freaks of Nature” is way more silly and fun with a bit of gore. At some times it’s kind of your standard, yet weird, coming of age/fish out of water Hollywood trope~esq. story that we are all so used to. You’re thrust into a world were all manner of creatures live and matriculate together in school and in a small nondescript town. Zombies, humans and vampires all just side by side as if it were normal, but we never learn why. It’s a funny movie, yet cynical. There are a ton of experienced and extremely excellent improv actors cast in this to support the three main characters. Along with the best casting you can do when putting Denis Leary in as the **** they have Keegan-Michael Key and Bob Odenkirk all in very small rolls that help round out the world they exist in. It’s almost worth the time to just see their performances. So, I guess that I’m recommending this, but maybe only to see Patten Oswalt give an end of the world cameo. Expand
