I'm speechless...
The entire movie is a rollercoaster of emotions, I saw things I never expected to see and I enjoyed every moment. The first half of the movie can be quite confusing but hang in there, the last 40 minutes are absolutely masterful.

A very ambitious film that explores the multiverse beautifully as well as the struggles of everyday life. The cinematography and scenes are beautifully made and the overall message of the film is beautiful.

I've seen so many movies, usually go 3-4 times a week to a premium theater, and this is easily the worst I went to see. My sister, cousins and other relatives and moviegoer friends here in Peru agree this was an absolute rubbish. Do not waste your time or your money on this insipid tasteless pseudo-film.

This is not the movie I wanted, but it was the movie I needed. It's flawed, goofy and illogical at times, but it works, it's fresh, unique, and I was a bit skeptical at the beginning, but then I got hooked as the movie started to develop.
I felt connected to the main character (Evelyn) struggles because at it's core, the movie is not supposed to be a hero's story, but a personal, intimate and complex story about everyday life, it's about family, choices, sacrifice, resentment and how the same situation can be perceived as something awful someone might want to escape while others might dream about it.
The whole multiverse idea, the fighting, the verse jumps can be inconsistent and even ridiculous but as soon as you accept it, it becomes entertaining and everything starts to connect as you start seeing the metaphors and the character's progression.
The acting of Michelle Yeoh and Ke Huy Quan are both phenomenal and well deserving of the Oscars they won, they really immerse themselves in the characters and personify to perfection the essence of the movie.
The camera work is creative and I caught myself complementing it a few times while watching, some might say it breaks the immersion, but I find it interesting and entertaining.
Colors look good and they match the tone of each scene.
Overall, it's a great movie and I'm glad they won the Best Picture Oscar because it actually made me feel everything everywhere all at once.

The film, which won seven Academy Awards, was directed by Daniels. He co-directed only two films, Swiss Army Man and this one. Nevertheless, he beat Spielberg at the Oscars.

The film was produced by A24, a company with tremendous momentum, which also produced The Whale and Aftersun in the same year. He released this film at a time when he had a lot of momentum, but it was not expected at first.

Although Michelle Yeoh, Jamie Lee Curtis, and other somewhat familiar actors were in the film, supporting actor Kee Hui Quan had not had a prominent role since The Goonies, and the rest were new actors. However, the performances by the cast were excellent, and in total, the film received four Oscar nominations, three of which were won.

At the beginning of the film, Michelle Yeoh runs a dry-cleaning business and is a realistic protagonist with a gay daughter, a difficult dry-cleaning business, a noisy father, and an unreliable husband. Later, her husband arrives from another world claiming a crisis in the multiverse, and she is quickly pulled away from reality, but in the end, she settles for a realistic ending. It is easy to explain why this film is so beloved. It offers unrealistic, exciting fun and settles on a simple theme of family love. The characters are all flawed but lovable, and after watching the film, you love the film itself. The film is also rated R, which means it is suitable for adults. It is a good opportunity for adults to rethink the idea of family love.

There are glimpses of Daniels' humor in the film. He does ''funny things'' when he moves to another multiverse. Eating lip balm, saying I really love you... these are all apparently Daniels' ideas. It was a bizarre and funny film that was nominated for 11 Oscars and won 7, but I don't know if it was the right one. I don't know if I got it right, because my favorite film, The Fablemans, was nominated for 7 categories but didn't win any of them.

Saw this a week before the awards, and it's the first film I've every clapped at the end. Such an amazing, moving and tremendously important movie.
With such an diverse Asian cast, and heavily in native language, it gives me hope that the cinema watching world may have grown up as this would've never been made 20 years ago purely for that cast. Everyone was amazing, every scene perfect sculpted and the mix of comedy/action/family was perfectly balanced.
Absolutely loved it, and came away with the biggest grin.

Everything from the story, the philosophical themes, the writing, the acting, and the editing makes this movie a masterpiece of cinema. Michelle Yeoh put on a tour-de-force performance for the ages, and she deserved every award that she won. The same can be said of Ke Huy Quan and the entire cast. I've seen iconic movies from Citizen Kane, Vertigo, The Godfather, Goodfellas, Forrest Gump, Pulp Fiction, Schindler's List, The Shawshank Redemption, Back to the Future, and the list goes on. Looking back at this movie in ten years, I feel it will be given its place among those greats and be regarded as such. It's a cinematic marvel and one of the greatest movies ever made. Expand

An absolutely beautiful philosophical narrative wrapped up in a package that is far more accessible and appealing than the average A24 movie.

This movie is well-acted, features particularly stunning visual effects, and possesses dialogue and writing that presents hopefulness and emotion without succumbing to anything that feels cheesy or forced. It possesses enough subtlety for people to interpret the movie's themes in whatever way they wish.

While this movie has received a great deal of positive attention after its release, it pleases me greatly to say that the praise feels earned. It is a beautiful, endearing and powerful narrative about love, philanthropy, and making our own meaning in a world that often feels senselessly and relentlessly cruel.

Every small element of this masterpiece was expertly crafted and there were 0 parts at which I felt needed improvement. The story was a beautiful and fluid masterpiece. The sound design was astounding and sudden, with perfect precision for comedic timing and suspenseful timing. The humour was excellent, with a wide range of modern humour, old people humour and even dirty humour, though whenever a joke was made which I wasn't interested in, it was something so 'on the side' as an extra that it gave no detriment to the scene. The cinematography was the best of its kind, including sudden dramatic shot changes with beautiful transitions. I have never seen better camera work or cinematography in my entire life. The acting was incredible, with the perfect cast of emotional characters which you could really feel for. At no point was it at obvious it was a production. Even the subtitles were warping with the camera effects! The set design was soo good and really did a good job at holding the scenes. The fighting sequences were unmatched with perfect timing and consistency. I love action sequences of that sort in movies, and these were the most incredible fight sequences I have ever seen. Absolutely astounding. The greatest work in any film I have ever seen, and is my new personal favourite movie of all time. Expand

Watching all at once is a mistake because it feels like a 90's MTV music video there's so much happening too fast! It gives me a headache and I'm not even an epileptic. It continues a trend of current movies to have scenes that are too fast. The only part I really liked was from 1:46:00 until about 1:48:00 when the woman's husband speaks. watch and you will understand. Hes a nice guy Expand

As a comedy it fails, its humor is very childish and ridiculous, there are comedy movies from the time of our grandparents whose humor still seems funny to us today, the humor of this movie is almost purely visual by showing ridiculous fights or characters dressed in ridiculous to say an example. As a science fiction genre, it also fails, despite the fact that the genre is fantasy, in general, the universe that we are presented with has consistency, it is credible, it has logic and if there are elements that are not very credible, they end up being few or scarce. The science fiction of this movie is so silly, so unbelievable that I can't really immerse myself in it. The story and relationship between the mother and her daughter, and how it develops, doesn't seem bad to me, but the other elements that I mentioned before are like ruining the experience of the movie itself. The film is new, I don't know if you could even talk about a new genre because of how incredibly chaotic it is, but even so, the stupidity of the plot, the stupidity of its universe, the bad humor, the nonsense of how several of the events take place that make me unable to recommend it and rate it negatively. I wrote that this movie is a giant masterpiece in the new millennium. I wrote that this film is like the paintings of Edvard Munch and "Nicolas Poussin ", which have been made into the movie. And I said that mankind has not been able to create such a thing for centuries. And I also praised the perfect script. But after seeing a lot of negative comments, I became doubtful and some questions arose in my mind. Maybe I thought about the vagueness of Tan's story and changed my mind. When the movie won seven Oscars. I watched it for third time and asked myself, what is the definition of a smart story? If we want to logically create and define an intelligent story (I emphasize, logically), what should we do? And can social effects affect my poor understanding of modern art? In both cases, the answer was yes.it must be done in this way.
We have to adapt to life, boys. The last night Oscar action is not only very bravely but is so differentt action. and is a very game changer act

Not really surprisingly, and it's too long, ok performances by all the cast and with all the flaws and it did might sound harsh but it wasn't truly a bad movie overall but it just not the one that at very least ok too for me so i was still pretty much disappointed, despite the cool special effects and the Multiverse thing, the real story of the film was really my major problem because it didn't fit with the other side of the story, and if you erase all the Multiverse stuff, it might be even work more, it just doesn't connect, it's a mixed bag of a feeling, it felt very forced, again i like the super weird Multiverse thing that they did, the special effects, the style, the color, the lighting, the cinematography, the score, and performance was still ok, but as a whole combined with the real story, it didn't work for me, and it's surprisingly becoming my new unpopular opinion on possibly the most talked film of 2022 and the one that got a lot of praise, not for me. I remember I wasn’t interested in this movie at first because I thought we already had a multiverse movie with Dr. Strange 2 . This turned out to be waaaay better than that. Although, Dr. Strange & the multiverse of madness was still a good decent movie.

This movie just took things to the next level.
It’s intense, crazy, funny, and very emotional. The Kung fu is also great!

Love this film!
I highly recommend it!

10/10 movie! Amazing
Oscar worthy!!

*Just don’t watch it if you’re susceptible to epilepsy. This movie does have some flashing lights and fast moving images. That’s just warning.

But I gave it a try anyhow to see if it lives up to the hype. Not going to lie, it started off kind of messy, and I had a hard time following the story switching between the english and chinese language. The scenes in the first half of the movie appeared incoherent and it was hard to understand what was going on. But then I discovered that this incoherence was consistent, like some mathematical constant and came to realization that maybe I should not approach this movie with logic and I should not try so hard to understand it, but rather let the movie take you in for the ride and get into it for the sensation of it all and see where it goes. And oh my, how it delivered. I wasn't expecting such an epic emotional rollercoaster experience, even with all the crazy over the top things happening on screen, it blended very well together. It literally included everything, everywhere, all at once that you ever wanted in a movie. This was a masterpiece of a movie. Instant timeless classic, and topics touched upon that are very relevant for our times. This also shows you that representation matters! It gives us a whole range of new and interesting perspective and content we never knew we wanted! My compliments for the script writers and producers for giving us this gem of a movie and it certainly lived up to the hype and more! Expand

A delightfully peculiar and absolutely incredible. EVERYTHING EVERYWHERE ALL AT ONCE! Was absolutely funny and amazing. This is the most fantastic movie I've seen in a very long time, but I was engrossed from beginning to end. The tale is intriguing, and the visuals are amazing. Those who enjoy American absurdist comedy-drama films should absolutely see it! A movie about a Chinese immigrant finds herself involved in a crazy adventure. You should watch this movie and then get your friends to do the same. We need more movies like this.

Through out my life, I have always been a positive and loving person, but lately, due many circumstances and events, I became a much more negative and sad person. The movie, in the beginning, only reinforced this perception and message of "nothing matters, everything is worthless". But right after convincing me, it showed how desperately wrong I was. It reminded me of acceptance, positivism and the ability to love and help those around me, that even though I must strive to be my best self, I, am, Enough... Expand

But after rewatching it after some time, I am convinced that it is the best form of any storytelling I have ever come across. Granted, I haven't watched, read or played every movie/show/play, book or game ever created in the many languages that exist. But of the significant portion of my life I have spent experiencing stories and my subjective & biased parameters for what an exceptional form of storytelling should ideally be based on, I am certain that this movie is the best I've come across yet.

Why do I think that?

Because it combines the most investigated philosophical question of the purpose of life, the most complex metaphysical theory of multiverses and the most consistently prevalent emotions of hope & despair, all together, in 150 minutes that span almost every storytelling genre there is.

And it does this with a series of truly extraordinary & powerful acting performances, elegantly simple yet extremely compelling dialogues, absurdist yet coherent editing & transitions and one of the most narratively complementary cinematography ever.

Furthermore, the exceptionally intelligent use of various styles of humour, balanced with a metaphorical yet deeply compassionate use of relationships, to construct a narrative that - though may appear comically-absurd & entertaining on a casual first-watch - is actually so much more; being consistently deliberate, methodical & profound on a second viewing.

All this coalesces into a unique emotional journey - with an abundance of excellent humour - that inevitably transitions to a rollercoaster ride of hope crescendos & despair diminuendos, while offering convincing justifications for these ebbs and flows, concluding in an extremely cathartic & appropriate ending.

Everything Everywhere All at Once - as the title suggests - is truly a story about everything, everywhere, told all at once. It's the most conclusive story of existence. And as cliched and inaccurate its ultimate moral may seem, it ingeniously conveys it in the single most hopeful & captivating manner possible.

And that's why it is the best form of any storytelling I have ever come across.

Hollywood today is no longer an entertainment machine that delivers film products tailored to the masses, but a political propaganda machine that spreads a perverse message that is poisoned and insidious with something evil. It is trying with all its might to spread worldwide a sick political agenda. The origins of which were laid down years ago by certain groups that are now in power to spread today the new world view in cooperation with Hollywood. The old beautiful Hollywood that we all loved, revered and admired, that gave us thrilling wonderful movie dreams, is almost gone and the puny remnants that still exist will also soon disappear and be replaced by this diseased growth that is spreading like a deadly cancer, spreading rapidly and killing and devouring everything that was once good and beautiful. Even if as producers, the Russo brothers continue their tireless work of cinematographic and scientific devastation. How many things do they mention? Michel Gondry, Jackie Chan and Hong Kong action movies, John Carpenter ["Big Trouble in Little China"] and the Wachowskis ["The Matrix"], the politically correct. And so far nothing serious. But then they come to "2001" and "Mr. Nobody" with its quantum man, and this gives the measure of how certain elevated themes are swept away by a demented approach, sometimes even scatological and with a philosophy that is a hymn to banality. Then: stop confusing multiverse, metaverse and pluriverse. They might turn to a fùcking scientific advisor. Or do they address to such an ignorant target audience because it's okay/better this way? "Cult movie of our time but, as often happens in films of this kind, the boundary between the hypertrophied and the exhausting can become very blurred" (Daria Pomponio).

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. An angry lesbian girl whose conflicted mother doesn't want to accept her girlfriend creates a bagel of despair that turns into a black hole, threatening to destroy countless parallel universes. I cannot understand how this was widely proclaimed one of the best movies of 2022. This movie is a pretentious mess that only professional movie critics would like. The editing can induce an epileptic fit, the story paper thin. The humor is crass and childish - there's a parallel universe where people have hot dogs for fingers. There's a scene where two men kung fu fight with butt plugs. Not hitting each other with butt plugs, no they fight with butt plugs inside them. In their butts. That is how you make the "movie of 2022", folks.

According to the Wikipedia synopsis this movies handles themes like existentialism, generational trauma, nihilism, absurdism, and Asian-American identity, and I say with great confidence that I didn't see anything of the sort. Sure, it pretends to, with pretentious hand waving and preachy yelling, but there is nothing you can take away and apply to your own life. What this movie does have though is a talking raccoon, under a chef's hat.

The acting and cinematography are top notch, the multiverse story is insanely innovative and wacky, and the writing is so perfectly done and impactful. Furthermore, while the comedy comes rapid-fire at points and lands almost every time, the film takes its time for slower, more introspective scenes that leave one wondering about how their multiversal selves are and how we can make the most of this life we have here, even if it may not be as impressive as we hoped. This is a must watch film, and, as of now, my favorite of 2022 without question. Expand

A wild and crazy ride thatI have never seen a movie like this. It is filled to the brim with ideas some being absolute crazy in the positive way, has great humor, a near perfect cast and fights that made the older Jackie Chan movies jealous. A wild and crazy ride that was more enjoyable than almost any other movie I have seen in years. The story starts with the worst day Chinese immigrant Evelyn Wang could imagine. Her laundromat business she had with her husband is investigated by the internal revenue service (IRS), her husband wants a divorce, her lesbian daughter wants her family to accept her white girlfriend while her estranged and traditional father just arrived while they prepare for the new year celebration. Things take a sudden change when in the elevator of the IRS building her husband completely changes personality. He says a multiverse exists and he is from a different universe / reality. The whole multiverse is in danger and Evelyn is their hope to stop the catastrophe. I stop here to avoid spoilers. The story is amazingly well written. It has so many ideas, craziness, humor and highlights. No movie I remember in recent years could compete. We think drugs were involved for a lot of ideas but everything works excellent which is the prove for the quality of writing. Think about it. If done poorly this would be a laughing stock of a story and movie. So I have to praise all writers, directors, producers and the whole team behind the camera. The actors were equally amazing and I think it is a close to a perfect cast as it could be. Michelle Yeoh is Oscar worthy and I am deeply impressed by her performance. Stephanie Hsu, Kee Huy Quan, Jamie Lee Curtis, James Hong and Tallie Medel are all excellent and improve the movie. Then there is the humor. I laughed a lot and cant remember the last movie that was as great for the humor. The fight scenes are amazing and some put Jackie Chan to shame. Lastly I must praise the sets, costumes and CGI. They nailed the movies atmosphere and style with those. Overall this is a masterpieces and truly unique. It was so good that future movies will be rated against this for me. A strong and worthy 10/10. Expand

This is the most stupid sci-fi **** I have ever seen. Did a 12 year old girl dream this story?

All the action/fantasy was as obnoxious and as stupid as anything can possibly be, and all as a viewer's front for the lamest, soapiest of teen dramas anyone can ever put together. I am absolutely embarrassed for everyone involved in making this, and for anyone who enjoyed this. Get better taste. Expand
