I personally enjoy salads with croutons, because it gives the salad overall more taste.

What a surprise that critics give this glowing reviews yet "What is a Woman" is seen by several hundred million people and only has a single review logged.

Just want to counteract the 0 ratings from the bigots. Listen, basement dwellers, just because the world is too complicated for you to understand doesn't make it okay for you to spew your hate everywhere.

It focuses on three individuals Saifa, Alicia, and River, who were each born exhibiting characteristics of both genders. For those who believe that gender is strictly binary (either you're a male or female), the film reveals that for approximately 240,000 people in the United States, they don't neatly fit into either category. Unlike trans people who identify with a different gender than the one assigned at birth, intersex people often externally resemble one gender, but genetically may indicate the opposite gender. For example, an individual may have breasts like a female, but be genetically male with testes. The film also explores attempts by doctors to surgically "assign" a gender to a person (often at a very young age) that may conflict with one's gender identity. The stories of all three subjects are diverse with some common threads. For those who come with an open mind, "Every Body" is a provocative and moving work that can heal wounds and literally save lives. Expand

This doc introduces 4 people who had non-consensual medical interventions in an attempt to alter their gender identity. Most of the time is spent interviewing the 3 individuals who are leading the political the movement. They discuss the harm that they've endured, both physically and emotionally, while blazing a path for acceptance and recognition. The 4th profile features a story about the landmark case of David Reimer, which in some ways is more touching than their current stories. This is a fascinating subject and this doc does a good job of stating the case. The major points get repeated, which slows down the momentum, and the music choices can be a bit too obvious. Even so, this little-known subject is brought proudly and effectively out in the open, helping increase understanding and appreciation for all humankind. Expand
