Dumb movie about an unhealthy obese kid(who was overfed a ton by her obese aunt who dies early due to her unhealthy lifestyle & allowed to be fed a cow by her irresponsible mom’s lack of involvement) aptly named Dumpling (well she lookedDumb movie about an unhealthy obese kid(who was overfed a ton by her obese aunt who dies early due to her unhealthy lifestyle & allowed to be fed a cow by her irresponsible mom’s lack of involvement) aptly named Dumpling (well she looked about 30 actually) pretending to run a revolution by forcing herself into a beauty pageant (planning to ruin it) that other kids of that town have worked hard to enter and has dreamed of all their childhood! Pretentious and boring and annoying.
I love Jeniffer Aniston to bits but dear lord don’t do any trash like this again please! I only kept watching till the end to see her.

We hate the movie no for the fact she is Plus size, is the fact that her character is stupid, do something don’t be mad at the world and don’t live in a stupid memory.

Dump this movie...

I saw this movie while on an airplane for 9 hours. Otherwise I would not think about spending valuable time on this kind of predictable stuff. There was this 1 thing that struck me the most: the lack of real human physical emotion between the mother and her daughter. There's this one scene in which a normal parent would not recite those typical Hollywood flawless sentences but would just close his/her kid in his/her arms and hug it firmly. No words necessary. A same scene comes to mind actually in another movie (no spoiler ahead) where the son has come out as gay (Love, Simon) and there is again this weird, rational dialogue between mother and son, where the mother is telling her son how much she loves him blah blah blah... but, well, she just tells him, sitting across from him in the living room. No physical emotion whatsoever! All the time I was thinking: Come on woman, just give your son a hug, give him a kiss... These so called heart warming movies with messages of love and understanding and acceptance... there all just fake crap. Nothing realistic. At least not the kind of reality I want to live in, or create for my kids.
