The animation style was great, and the bought the characters from page to screen in one of the best possible ways. The only real issue I have with this movie is that it really wasn't eventful, nothing notable happened in the movie except for the Halloween part and the cheese touch. I just wish the runtime could've been longer so they had more time to adapt more events from the book, like the Wizard of Oz play, it was my favorite part of the book and they couldn't make that scene in this movie because of the short runtime, which is unfortunate.… Expand

This is a very faithful adaptation of the books, in so much as Greg is definitely a sociopath who sees everyone in his life in terms of what use they are to him. Fortunately, the movie does not shy away from portraying Greg in the negative for this.… Expand
