This movie is amazing, the acting, the guns, the action; it's all there. Simple storyline, the main character kicks ass. This is a bit of a hollywood cliché I guess, but it's still a very enjoyable film.

Robert Rodriguez is gotta be number one director , writer , editor in the history of film making (same with Tarentino). Starring Antonio Banderas plays a new version of El Marachi i have to say he is pretty good at also working with Salma Hayek. Rodriguez's films are over ratted but there one hell or a ride , his films have impressed me and he is the king of adventure , comedy , violence ( i wonder if he made GTA ?) ....... nah. all of this explosions in film with the guitar cases with the stunts its pretty epic. Its one Director Robert Rodriguez's best. Grade A+ Expand

Perfectly stylised, a great Tarantino cameo, ad Buschemi is fantastic as always. The action scenes are a lot of fun, and both Salma Hayek and Antonio Banderas ooze a ridiculous amount of sex appeal. What's not to love?

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. The same "penis gun" that Sex Machine uses in From Dusk Till Dawn (1996) can be seen in this movie in the guitar case when Carolina looks inside it. The Mariachi says "it's saved my life many times". That film was also directed by Robert Rodriguez and also starred Salma Hayek. Expand

Though I love his work on the Sin City films, particularly the first, his incredible earlier trilogy will always hold a special place in my cinephilic heart.

My recent project of coming to terms with classic Westerns has only further helped me enjoy these more recent contemporary releases.

It doesn't come close to El Miriachi, but the sequel will definetly still be suitable for any action fans of the first.

The performances are more professional, the dialogue is more memorable, the action is unforgettable, and even the campiness is played up to a much more successful degree. And things haven't exactly been ramped up in terms of budget this time around either, still proving that you can make a worthwhile action film without breaking the bank. Expand

Hilarious. The gunfight in the bar and the climactic fight are best. Other than that it is not much. But is still an enjoyable film to watch if you have nothing better.

A movie not to be taken seriously because it's self aware.
This movie only exists for one reason, to entertain the hell out of you
with awesome action scenes and cheesiness.

Its a pretty engrossing watch and is worth seeing for both Antonio Banderas and Salma Hayek's performance. Its a fairly simple revenge thriller film, with a, I suppose, interesting cameo from Quentin Tarantino. I quite liked the slower scenes with the main character, the Mariachi, talking to and helping the young Mexican boy with his guitar playing. If you like action thrillers, then this is certainly worth a watch, although it is quite bloody, so it won't suit all. Expand

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Summary: Antonio Banderas stars as the Mariachi without a name in this much anticipated follow-up to the critically-acclaimed 1992 hit, El Mariachi. This time the Mariachi (Banderas) plunges headfirst into the dark border underworld when he follows a trail of blood to the last of the infamous Mexican druglords, Bucho (De Almeida), showdown.
