First off, It was far too long for my taste. It felt rather dragged on imo. Second, A lot of wasted potential here. It started off interesting but it just became straight up trash. This is....a piece of- well, you know what? It's not the worst movie ever. If you're bored one Sunday night, just watch this movie. Sure, it's bad, but you know what? It's got its moments. Click might have been the last acceptable Sandler movie. At least this film has a decent story and has a good look to it. Along with Sandler, Kate Beckinsale is very likeable.

My boyfriend and I went to see it at the cinema. He's just like the guy.. never grasping those happy times, thinking everything is about his job. A surprising Sandler comedy that has a lot of emotion to go with the laughs. The morals it tries to teach can lead to some tear-jerking scenes and it's got plenty of laughs to offer provided you're a fan of Sandler's comedy. I thought this movie was embarrassingly bad. The concept itself was interesting, and it could of been a cool movie I think; but the script, and especially the acting was just all totally awkward. Of course a great idea it was going to be wasted on Adam Sandler's hands. And its INSANE that this movie has a 6.6 score. INSANE.

It probably should have left off the coda in which everything worked out all right. Then it would have had the nerve to be a "10." This movie was spectacular! Before i saw this movie I thought Adam Sandler, i'm going to be laughing during the whole movie. But I was wrong. It was hilarious in the beginning but then it took a dramatic twist. It got very depressing This movie was spectacular! You'll laugh and you'll cry! Typical Sandler flick. But this one adds a little more meaning to the word "family" and it's a nice little add-on quite unexpected and genuine. And my girlfriend loved it!

An enjoyable movie, with poignant details that seldom spring out of the lake. Perhaps Adam Sandler has been maturing, for his last few films, Spanglish & Punch Drunk Love, have been treasures. What better style, than this, to get your message across to the children/youth of contemporary North America? For some that believe they live a dolorous life, this movie will cheer them up. As in any LA movie, it is superficial, but warm. This is a good movie for a family to watch, and possibly to further discuss. 'Click' seemingly starts out will with it's cutesy family wisecracks. And the first couple instances where Michael uses the remote for his own personal kicks is somewhat funny. Its just the same joke exhibited over and over again with different alterations. Even the dog Sundance's incessant humping of a stuffed duck gets old real quick as the film advances. This is tragic because 'Click' is being passed off as a comedy but unmistakably isn't funny. Another fault the film bears is the main character Micheal is nowhere as entertaining as Morty. Not only did Walken do a better job of acting, he is overall more enjoyable to watch. Truth be told, Morty is actually the only thing that holds this mess together. And only slightly better than average direction by Frank Caraci who also did two of Sandler's other films ('The Waterboy' and 'The Wedding Singer') only contributes dullness to this already colorless movie. There are however a few heartfelt moments displayed throughout the extent of the film. But in the final scenes there's supposed to be a big profound moment when Michael desperately tries to tell his son how family comes first with his last breaths but Sandler just doesn't deliver. Who honestly expected splendid acting from him though? But despite all the downsides 'Click' presents, many people will still enjoy it. What can I say, fart and sex jokes sell.… Expand

With less reliance on the scatalogical, "Click" had the makings of a solid middle-brow effort. The metaphor at the heart of this movie is an odd fit for farting and amorous dogs. This was easily one of Adam Sandler's funniest movies. For an hour and fifteen minutes, I did nothing but laugh at this pitiful schlub. Frank Capra's masterpiece It's A Wonderful Life just won the top spot on the American Film Institute's recently televised list of The 100 Most Inspirational Movies Of All Time, but it's highly doubtful that Adam Frank Capra's masterpiece It's A Wonderful Life just won the top spot on the American Film Institute's recently televised list of The 100 Most Inspirational Movies Of All Time, but it's highly doubtful that Adam Sandler's demented take on it will land anywhere near the list should the AFI update it in 30 years. Now if we're talking "The Top 100 Crassest Unacknowledged Film Remakes" or "The Top 100 Most Egregious Molestations Of A Seemingly Sure-Fire Premise" or "The Top 100 Movies That Most Make You Want To Take A Shower After Seeing Them (And We Don't Mean A Cold One, Either)" THEN we're talking Top Ten status here. [***SPOILERS***] Sandler plays alleged Everyman Michael Newman, a perpetually foul-tempered, family-neglecting, workaholic architect who's given a true "Universal Remote"--a hand-held device that allows him to not only control his TV set and gagage door but also his entire world; this sensationally clever, MAD Magazine-style premise just hums with possibilities, almost none of which are realized or explored in a movie that's far more interested (obsessed, in fact) with typical Sandler juvenalia: flatulence, liposuction flaps, nymphomaniacal neighbors, transsexual coworkers, soulless plastic Maxim-model women (which, sadly, includes Kate Beckinsale as Newman's wife) and gratuitous guest appearances by demon hellbeast (and Sandler bud) Rob Schneider. The basic script by Steve Koren and Mark O'Keefe, is a be-careful-what-you-wish-for premise structured very much like the duo's previous, Capra-flavored Bruce Almighty, but since Sandler and his peeps DIDN'T get their grimy paws on that one, it actually was genuinely sweet, funny, insightful and even kind of profound; this variant is mostly just mean-spirited, offensive and in places rather hateful. Wonderful Life's George Bailey may have been an imperfect human being (that was one of the elements of Capra's film that made it work so beautifully), and he was certainly capable of such hurtful acts as unjustly chewing out his youngest daughter's hapless, well-intentioned schoolteacher--but good old George would NEVER have taken such sadistic glee in torturing the next door neighbor's kid. (Newman actually brings him and ANOTHER child to tears several times throughout the movie; this passes for a running gag, and in this case "gag" is the perfect word to describe it.) Shockingly, Click is not Sandler's worst movie by far: it DOES have some genuinely intriguing futuristic production design in its later scenes; the comparison made of Newman to the Lucky Charms leprachaun is quite thought-provoking; Henry Winkler and Julie Kavner as Newman's parents lend a high level of charm and class to the movie that's highly undeserved but thank God it's there; Ben Hoffman as his grown-up son brings so much dignity and conviction to his role that he seems to have come in from an entirely different movie, and admittedly I laughed out loud the first three times the family dog mounted the stuffed duck before the movie's dozens of endless variations on that joke made me really sorry I did. I can't give nominal director Frank Coraci (The Wedding Singer) credit for any of these nominal virtues because, let's face it, Sandler is the true auteur of most of his movies and Coraci, Dennis Dugan, Steven Brill and Peter Segal are merely sycophantic yes-men whose major function is to prevent the players from (unintentionally) bumping into each other. Give Sandler the rights to Doestoyefsky's The Brothers Karamazov and he'll turn it into a celebration of brain-dead psychotic adolescent rage; if I had my very own magic remote, I'd use it to erase the tapes in my head of most of his previous work and to block out any future Sandler films in which Sandler DOESN'T relinquish total creative control to Paul Thomas Anderson (Punch-Drunk Love) or James L. Brooks (Spanglish) or any other artist who's aware of Sandler's undeniable talent and knows how to pull it out of the pool of excrement with which Sandler, left to his own devices, repeatedly displays such infantile fascination.… Expand

As for the comedy there were several really funny scenes. At times it was a little wonkie, but that just added to the charm. I do not however think this is a movie for the kiddies. There were several adult oriented scenes, so be mindful of this if you have young children. Overall I heartly recommend this movie. Now that I think about it Click reminds me of The Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind but a little less serious. Click at times was surprisingly serious but the comedy really helped it not to get too bogged down. I guess if i were to tag a moral of the story on this movie it would be, be careful of what you wish for you just might get it, or miss it as in Click.… Expand

There are certainly better comedies out there than Click. The movie in my opinion takes a long time to gain steam and get funny. I don't think this movie is fit for purchase, but it is suitable for a weekend rental.

I got this movie because i consider myself a fan of Adam Sandler.

Have to say though this isnt one of his best movies, there didn't seem to be a connection between Adam & Kate at all, which didnt help the movie to be honest. They should haveI got this movie because i consider myself a fan of Adam Sandler.

No. But the way that it starts off as a 100%, silly, nonsensical, easy-going, childish comedy and then slowly rises into a deeply saddening story of loss, grief and waste is truly heart-wrenching. As an audience member I was totally unaware to the wave of emotion that was on its way to sweep me away in a river of tears. It really was overwhelming and succeeded in putting life into perspective. Although there were plenty of laughs along the way, the real diamond of this film is its heart. Maybe the most surprisingly touching movie I have ever had the good fortune of seeing.… Expand

One of my favorite movies. The plot goes like thisClick is a 2006 American science fiction comedy-drama film directed by Frank Coraci, written by Steve Koren and Mark O'Keefe, and produced by Adam Sandler, who also starred in the lead role. The film co-stars Kate Beckinsale as his wife Donna and Christopher Walken as Morty. The film was released in the United States on June 23, 2006. It was distributed by Columbia Pictures. A man named Michael Newman (Adam Sandler) is a hardworking architect who is married to his longtime sweetheart, Donna Newman (Kate Beckinsale) with two children, Ben and Samantha. Michael is easily pushed around by his overbearing boss, John Ammer (David Hasselhoff). On numerous occasions, Michael chooses working over family functions. While going in search of a universal remote control at the retail store Bed Bath & Beyond, Michael falls onto a bed and then proceeds to the section marked "Beyond". There, he befriends a mysterious man named Morty (Christopher Walken), who gives him a "universal" remote control for free and warns him that it can never be returned.

To Michael's amazement, he finds that this remote can actually control time. At first, Michael uses the remote to have fun, but then starts to use it for his benefit, including to interpret for foreign clients or revisit events in his life, including a time in his childhood. During a camping trip in Lake Winnipesaukee, the other kids had declined his invitation in favor of another family who had more compared to his family. This shows an insight to Michael's adult personality; his determination to succeed in order to avoid raising his family in the same squalor his parents did. Morty tries in a broken way to explain the error of Michael's work ethic, as well as not to take Donna for granted by showing some of Michael's past girlfriends who were homely or had awful personalities. However, Michael also uses the remote to skip quarrels with Donna, to avoid suffering a cold by skipping to the point at which he recovers, and to skip a family dinner in order to finish an important project. Later, Morty reveals that when Michael fast-forwards through time, his body is on "auto-pilot," his mind skips ahead while his body goes through the motions of everyday life. After Ammer promises Michael a partnership, Michael decides to skip ahead to it, but ends up skipping a year of his life. Michael also finds out that he is in marriage counseling, his children prefer to watch CSI instead of Dragon Tales, and he missed the death of his dog. To make matters worse, the remote begins fast-forwarding on its own. Michael's various attempts to dispose of or destroy the remote fail, giving him the resolve to regain agency of his life. The next day, Ammer tells Michael he is retiring and suggests that one day Michael may end up CEO. Momentarily forgetting his plan to outfox the remote, Michael says he would like to end up CEO; the remote reacts accordingly and fast-forwards to 2017. In the future Michael has achieved everything he wished to now the new CEO of the company with all the material wealth and luxuries he could ever want, albeit at the cost of his family's state. Michael has become very unhealthy over the ten years causing him to become obese and discovers he resides in a penthouse by himself. After discovering his new life Michael wishes to go back to his old one and the remote acts accordingly. However when he returns to his old house Michael is resented by everyone in his family and is divorced from Donna. He also discovers that Donna has married Bill, who coached Ben's swim team. While visiting his family, Michael meets Ben who is now an overweight teenager with self esteem issues from copying his father's eating habits and Samantha who has grown into a beautiful young lady, but moody with similar attitude problems like Ben's. He then fights with Donna and Bill, before confronting Morty who reveals his life choices caused him to become an overweight workaholic who neglected his family. The new family dog then pounces on him, causing him to fall and hit his head on a brick wall, knocking him into a coma.

Having "learned" from Michael when he skipped his cold, the remote transports him six years into the future. Michael had suffered a heart attack while in a coma, but is no longer obese. Ben is also in shape and is now Michael's partner. Michael is devastated when Ben tells him his father Ted has died, and Michael, while visiting his father's tomb, tries to use the remote to go to the moment when Ted was on his deathbed, but Morty appears, saying that it will not take him there; the time travel function only works for events Micha… Expand
