The underlying problem was the script and direction, it felt like Sorkin copied and pasted various highlights from Lucille Ball’s Wikipedia page to fill in the main story about Lucille’s Communist ties but it fell flat. Despite their efforts, the main characters were miscast and Kidman distracted from the story, with only the supporting cast the redeeming part. Complete and utter trash. This is what happens when you allow kids of subjects to control the narrative. I particularly "love" how they made Desi look like a sober saint when he was famously drunk by 11am daily. To say nothing of the horribleComplete and utter trash. To say nothing of the horrible casting; Kidman's facial prosthetics are so bad they're distracting, and she's just not convincing as Lucy. I don't understand the positive reviews; the story itself is boring, hard to follow and convoluted. I was so triggered by how bad this movie was, I created an account here just to review it.… Expand

Typical Hollywood hypocrites,they destroy shows like the Simpsons because they don't want voice actors playing a different race,then they cast Spaniards to play latinos in 99% of the time,they cast a Spaniard to play a latino legend in Desi Arnaz despite the director being as woke as they come(as they do for 99.9% of movies because they're racists against casting actual latinos OBVIOUSLY)… Expand

There was absolutely ZERO chemistry between "Lucy" and "Desi". Although Nicole Kidman did her best with what she was handed , the movie lacked depth and emotion .
