OMG!!!! Jim Carrey actually gave a truly good performance?!?!?! I was shocked that he actually did a good job, this has to be my favorite Batman movie ever, the acting is great as is the plot, this is a truly enjoyable movie for fans of Batman.

The Riddler (Jim Carrey) is **** amazing, he gives a really good performance from start to finish and you can tell he's having so much fun in the role of the Riddler. I can see why people don't like this (and obviously B&R) when compared to Burton's movies. But I honestly really enjoy this. Val is a good Batman, Tommy Lee Jones rocks as a bad guy & Nicole Kidman is stunning! I think the weak link is actually Jim Carrey, who I found far more annoying than I remember him being when I saw this as a kid. He's not Jared Leto in Suicide Squad level of bad, he has some very funny bits, but he doesn't suit this at all.
For a decent halfway between serious and stupid I think this has it.… Expand

Jim Carrey made me laugh but I was disappointed in the Batman. I found the tone of the movie an interesting choice and I thought it went on a little too long. I still was interested but I didn't have fun.

After two great Batman films, Tim Burton had left the series for good. It was now up to Joel Schumacher to mach up with the same level as the previous two films. The result is not bad, but doesnt match up to 'Batman' and 'Batman Returns'. IfAfter two great Batman films, Tim Burton had left the series for good. Too much noise, too much color, too much everything. Batman Forever has its moments, but it's overall an excessive and headache inducing movie.

If there is anything good to be said about this film, it is that it makes the first two Batman films seem better! I could feel my respect for Tommy Lee Jones disappear but it has to be said that Jim Carrey was at least good at doing what he does best (which... I didn't say I liked).
More accessible to a wider audience, but ultimately it crushes the spirit and distorts the world of Batman!… Expand

"Batman Forever" is a movie that offers popcorn action and decent fun from Jim Carrey; basically you have to see the film as a ADHD in order to love the style.

Better than they say... Mostly because of Jim Carrey. He is to the Riddler what Heath Ledger was to the Joker. Val Kilmer is nowhere near as good as Michael Keaton but he was decent enough. Batman Forever is an amazing action packed film with more gadgets than some James Bond films.
The film has a great way of introducing the main characters. For example in the opening scene the film introduces Two Face, (Tommy Lee Jones) byBatman Forever is an amazing action packed film with more gadgets than some James Bond films.
The film has a great way of introducing the main characters. For example in the opening scene the film introduces Two Face, (Tommy Lee Jones) by showing how evil he is when he kills one of his own henchmen and tries to kill a cop. This opening scene also introduces Batman (Val Kimmer) as heroic because he saves the cop's life. Although I felt that the cop in this scene wasn't a very good actor. But the scene ends on a high note when Two Face escapes alive and this makes you wonder how Batman will stop him.
The film has quite a simple plot where Batman tries to stop the evil Two Face and his insane side kick, the Riddler. This simple plot stops the viewer from feeling lost and confused like they may do in a film with a complicated plot.Another example of the great way the film introduces characters is the scene where the Riddler (Jim Carrey) is introduced. The Riddler is introduced in a good way because when he writes his 1st riddle it fills the viewers mind with mystery and a sense of trying to figure it out before the end of the film. When Jim Carrey plays the Riddler the role is unique and makes you realize just how good an actor Jim Carrey really is because as well as playing a great comedian he can also play other roles. The special effects are also very good in a car chase scene where Two-Face's henchmen chase Batman in his bat mobile. In this scene the special effects make the driving stunts in the car chase seem very realistic.
But the action in this film can sometimes seem too violent which might shock the viewer because the film is only rated PG.
On the other hand the film does keep the viewer interested until the last scenes where Batman has to make a life changing decision and when the Riddler threatens to tell the whole world who Batman is.
I would recommend this film to young adults and anyone who likes a good superhero film. I would rate the film 9/10.… Expand

I am still divided if this is a good movie or more in the so bad that it is good category. It might be both at the same time but I will not deny that it is entertaining and has some great moments but also some weaknesses. It might be both at the same time but I will not deny that it is entertaining and has some great moments but also some weaknesses. After Batman Returns missed Warner Bros. box office expectations and complains that it was too dark some changes were made for the next movie. I will say they made this one more colorful, used more humor and toned down the more matured parts. Actually I view this as a restart even if it is not a reboot. This time Batman has to deal with Two Face who was the former district attorney Harvey Dent. An acid attack left half of his face disfigured and drove him towards crime and insanity. He blames Batman for this as he could not stop this attack. Meanwhile scientist Edward Nygma who is a researcher at Wayne Enterprises has developed a new device that can beam television signals directly into a persons brain (Sidenote: This is actually more scary than most horror movies ever could be. Think of non stop commercials and this is the stuff of nightmares). However he is rejected by Bruce. Meanwhile a circus is in town and the acrobat Dick Grayson will experience something he never would have imagined. With this the story starts and I will stop here to avoid spoilers. The story works and is a vehicle for the action and characters. However it is neither that great nor reinventing the wheel. Batman the animated series did set up and use these characters far better and I think some of those episodes could be used for a better movie. To be fair it is also not bad and they know what they are doing. The characters are similar to the story. They work and are enjoyable but also they are not that great with some exceptions. Lets start with Batman aka Bruce Wayne played by Val Kilmer. Michael Keaton did not want to return so another actor has to fill the shoes. I think Val Kilmer would work great but is hold back by the script. Tommy Lee Jones does a fantastic job as Two Face and this deserves credit as with his costumes it is hard to take him serious (This could just be me to be fair). They miss a critical aspect of his character here. Two Face is Bruce Waynes greatest tragedy in a certain way. He could neither safe him as Batman nor as his good friend Bruce Wayne. However he still works. Jim Carrey as Edward Nygma is amazing. The role was made for him and his style. If you like his usual performance than everything is fine. If not than this is a disaster for you. I liked his performance and clearly see how much he enjoyed the role. Chris O’Donnel as Dick Grayson delivers mostly a good performance but there are some scenes that are awful for his character. Then we have Nicole Kidman as Dr. Chase Meridan. Maybe too much damsel in distress but is really good otherwise. The rest of the cast gives a solid performance. I am divided here as we have good actors without a doubt. But I have seen those characters done better and the script harmed them too sometimes. Visually or presentation wise the movie has its own style. It looks familiar but more colorful. Some of the costume choices are bad and fail for me. The soundtrack by Eliot Goldenthal was really good. It had some songs that are still played today in the radio like “Kiss from a rose” by seal and to a lesser content U2s “Hold me, thrill me, kiss me, kill me”. Other than those I liked “Smash it up” by The Offspring and Methods Man “The Riddler”. A good soundtrack and worth owning. Overall I like this movie but it will not end in my top movie lists. It is enjoyable but not awesome and I think a 7/10 is fair.… Expand

Even with a simple plot, the film is a classic due to Jim Carrey and his performance. The Tommy Lee Jones version of Two-Face looks like a "half-brother" of the Joker if he got drunk on Madison Square Garden.

Oh boy... I really like Batman Returns, but since the parents hated its dark tone so much, Joel Schumacher was forced to make the series more kid friendly.

Jim Carrey is the highlight, but Tommy Lee Jones can be really irritating. The flashing lights and obnoxious sound effects doesn't save this boring movie...

This film is enjoyable and directed beautifully and the villains are good besides Jim Carrey being a bit over the top at times. There's explosions and lots of action and Drew Barrymore was a delight to see and her and Nicole Kidman made this film feel more beautiful than it actually was. Not the worst of the bunch, but I wonder what Joel Schumacher was thinking when he took over the franchise. Gotham was never to bright and lively and full of neon in the comic books. And ummmm DZ I think you are reviewing the wrong movie bud.

I liked it. I understand a couple of those negative reviews though. I 'm a big Jim Carry fan so that's probably why I took to it right away. It was a little cheesy and after seeing Batman and Robin (which made me barf) it seems a lot better.

I loved this movie so much when I was a kid. Like, I was a DIEHARD fan for it. I idolized The Riddler, to the point that I kept drawing question marks on my bedroom wall with green crayons. I haven't watched the movie since then, and while growing up, I've heard so much **** about how crappy the Shumacher Batman films were, so my thoughts about this film have been negatively percepted since then. When I rewatched this, I have to say, it's not as bad as what people say **** about it. It's no Nolan film, but it's really not as bad as people say it is.

THE GOOD:
-Val Kilmer's the best-looking Batman. He fits everything that has to be about Bruce Wayne and Batman. Sure, he has a deadpan delivery, but Bruce Wayne is supposed to be deadpanned as well so can't blame him for the characterization.
-The production design is awesome.
-The score.
-The Charity Circus scene. Best part of the movie, hands down..
-Bruce Wayne's past is explored a lot more.
-Best-looking Batman costume.
THE BAD:
-The script is GODAWFUL. NOTHING MAKES SENSE. Batman strongly talks Robin to not kill Two-Face as a form of revenge, but Batman himself kills Two-Face without any sensible explanation. Bruce Wayne giving up on being Batman. Where the **** did that storyline come out from?
-The villains are more cartoons than actual villains.
-Jim Carrey. OH MY GOD, I can't believe I worshipped him in this when I was a kid. The first scene with him was unbearable to watch.
-Batnipples.
-What the **** did Robin do the entire movie, esp. when Batman was in peril? He showed up only to get Batman out of the sand. After that, he drove the Batboat and got held captive by the villains. What was the redeeming point of even having him in this besides being the catalyst of Bruce remembering his past?… Expand

What saves this movie is Tommy Lee Jones and Jim Carrey as Two-Face and The Joker. Jim Carrey is especially in place, while Two-Face's portrayal may be too psychotic, it's not nearly as bad as the Penguin or Mr. Freeze were.

Didn't mean much to my 8 year old mind when it first came out. These days, while it's slightly more watchable, it still fails to excite as much as some people might have you believe. The story is weak, the Prince songs are horrible (the same can't be said for the Elfman score though) and Keaton's rendition as the Dark Knight leaves a lot to the imagination. What I did enjoy about Keaton was his brilliant portrayal of the disturbed Bruce Wayne (one of my favourite scenes was his attempt at letting the cat out of the bag in Vale's apartment). Nicholson is wildly entertaining and his over-the-top antics are worth, at least, a single viewing.… Expand

With its epic acting, plot, action, and emotion, Batman Forever is a classic for the ages. Oh wait, sorry, I was thinking of Batman Begins. Poor old Joel Schumacher - he'll be known for the rest of his life as "The man who killed Batman", though he earned that moniker in making Batman & Robin, not this installment. True, it's a very different take on the Dark Knight mythologyPoor old Joel Schumacher - he'll be known for the rest of his life as "The man who killed Batman", though he earned that moniker in making Batman & Robin, not this installment. True, it's a very different take on the Dark Knight mythology from Tim Burton's previous brooding, Gothic adaptations - Schumacher adds a liberal dose of self-aware humour and in-jokes, and the whole film has a certain camp fun about it. It's almost like Batman and Batman Returns was the franchise in its moody teenage years, and all of a sudden it's decided to cheer up and have a little fun. Schumacher hasn't completely dumped Burton's ideas on the wayside though, and most likely due to Burton staying on as producer, the film continues to delve into Bruce Wayne's tragic past and complex psychology. These scenes could have been lifted directly out of either Batman or Batman Returns, and provide the film with a good emotional kick. Robin's origin story is also kept fairly dark and Burton-y, and the thematic parallels Schumacher and writer Akiva Goldsman draw between Dick Grayson and Bruce Wayne are dramatically effective. The casting for the film is a real mixed bag. Chris O'Donnell has the right rebellious attitude and confidence to play Robin, Nicole Kidman makes a feisty femme-fatale as sassy psychologist Chase Miridian, Michael Gough is reliable as always as Alfred, and Jim Carrey steals every scene he's in as a brilliantly batty Riddler. However, Val Kilmer is completely miscast as Batman, and even clever cinematography and editing can't hide the fact that he can't handle the stunts - he just looks fat and slow. The real turkey of the cast is, disappointingly, Tommy Lee Jones, who turns Harvey Two-Face, one of the most interesting and complex of Batman's rogues gallery into a simplistic, camp pantomime villain. We must also question some of the design changes in the film (nipples? why?) that are so jarringly different from Burton's mythos that they appear to not even belong on the same planet, never mind the same city. Gotham appears to have evolved at an alarmingly rapid rate from a city of seedy slums and gothic cathedrals to a very East Asian-inspired neon metropolis. Well at least the taxes from the hard-working citizens of Gotham appear to have been put to good use. Batman Forever is an incredibly uneven film. There are good performances (Carrey), bad performances (Kilmer) and ugly performances (Jones). Batman's back-story is further fleshed out in dark flashbacks, and the introduction of Robin is handled well, but there's also homo-erotic suiting-up montages and bat-nipples. The film as a whole looks expensive, in a top-of-the-line fairground attraction sort of way, but it lacks finesse, and consistency in tone. It's clearly not the best Batman film, but Forever is also by-no-means the worst (audiences would have to wait another two years for the franchise-killer). One thing I will say for Joel Schumacher's first foray into the Batman universe - it's inconsistent, certainly, but it's never boring!… Expand

Now, we have another duo, consisting of the Riddler (Jim Carrey) and Two-Face (Tommy Lee Jones). Unlike in BATMAN and BATMAN RETURNS, these villains are more silly and ridiculous than creepy. Just look at the DVD box--their outfits give away all the asininity. Should you see this? I wouldn't recommend it. If you do, will you like it? It depends if you can stand Jim Carrey in more than just comedy and drama.… Expand

Alot of people hate this movie but i really like it. It's a good movie to just sit and watch and you don't have to pay close attention to. It's not the best batman movie by any means but it is a movie i enjoy.

The transition from seriousness (of sorts) to childish has resulted badly for the caped crusader as Batman Forever's villains aren't villainy enough and Val Kilmer isn't the most persuasive Batman of all time.

Schumacher's Batman is more colorful, and lighthearted than Burton's. This is not a good thing. Burton's vision, though imperfect, surpasses Schumacher's in every way, shape, and form.

This one of my poisons. Better than the BR, Jim Carrey and Tommy Lee Jones as Two-Face are fun, Val Kilmer and Chris O Donnell were okay, and the visual were nice.

The beginning of the demise of the 90's Batman films. Val Kilmer is ok as Bruce Wayne, but not nearly as good as Michael Keaton and Joel Schumacher shows he cares more about introducing pointless goofy villains than making a good movie.

Very much like the cartoons. I am a Batman fan and I liked the Batman because he wasn't to aggressive and he was good as Bruce Wayne as well. I think Superman and Batman tie on my favorite superheroes list.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Two-Face (Tommy Lee Jones) is reigning terror on Gotham City. Only Batman (Val Kilmer) can stop him. Bit behind the scenes a new super-villain rises, The Riddler (Jim Carrey).
I'm sorry for the short summary but I have a major bug with this movie. And here the seven main reasons i dislike this movie. First, Kilmer, he's okay as Bruce Wayne but I can't see him as Batman. Second, the score, from a musicians point of view the score by Danny Elfman from the first two films is well blatantly, music to my ears. Here its boring, forgettable, and filled with too many cartoon sound effects. Third, the Batmobile, it looks like a roller-skate. Fourth, Two-Face, boy is this performance bad. Two-Face is supposed to be a depressing tragedy of a mans life. This is just a joke. Fifth, The Riddler, one of my all time favourite Batman villains, and Jim Carrey ruins him by playing Jim Carrey which is good for some movies but not Batman. Sixth, Robin, again another character study full of tragedy, but he's too old and bland. Seventh, Gotham, it's too bright and cheery, and what's with all the giant statues around?
It hate this movie even more than the next one. It ruined the series and led to the disgrace of it. Don't watch this and save yourself 2 hours of your life.… Expand

Not the most terrible Batman film but far from the best. Val Kilmer gives his all, but still is the most boring Bruce Wayne ever cast. Jim Carrey does his Jim Carrey and Nicole Kidman is far from an interesting leading lady.

Be honest with yourselves, this movie wasn't good. A lot of people say it's better than Batman Returns, and it's not. If a movie is made by it's villains, then this is a terrible movie. I had sympathy for Magneto, I had sympathy for Loki, I had sympathy for Catwoman, and I even had a shred of sympathy for Mr. Freeze (but only a shred). These villains annoyed me like crazy. Two Face was all out of his mind, and the newer Two Face in the Dark Knight looks so amazing because of how cheesy and fake this one was. The Riddler is what you'd expect from Jim Carrey in a superhero movie, and he was even worse. I have to admit, the storyline was a lot more interesting than Batman and Robin. The part with Robin becoming a hero was actually managed decently. Batman was depicted by Val Kilmer poorly, but he did do a good job as Bruce Wayne. Overall, this movie was garbage, but it was garbage with air freshener sprayed on it. It had consolations, but it didn't have that many consolations.… Expand

If you were ever looking for a movie that doesn't know what it wants to be, lighthearted, fun, adventurous, thrilling, dark...and doesn't know how to mix it together seamlessly, look no further than 'Batman Forever'.

Tim Burton is not directing this one (although, stayed on as producer), it is instead directed by Joel Schumacher after there were reports that Tim Burton's previous two "Batman" films were deemed "too dark".

Heaven help those people, god forbid that Batman, also known as "The DARK Knight" have a "dark" movie, that is just wrong in every way. He should be campy, lighthearted, colorful, fun and witty. These people who complained in the first place did not know that we were going to get a wreck of a film.

This time, Val Kilmer takes the role of the caped crusader, and I mentioned in my review for 'Batman Returns' (1992) that Michael Keaton never got a chance to shine as Batman mainly because Tim Burton's theatrical direction and constant focus on villains prevented from the great Keaton to fully flesh out in the role. Kilmer, on the other hand, is ultimately bland, one-note and one-dimensional in the role, he shows no emotion whatsoever, and when he tries to show some concern, it feels forced.

The script (written by Lee Batchler, Janet Scott Batchler and Akiva Goldsman) contains some crummy, on-to-the-point dialogue. Take the beginning sequence when Batman has to save a security guard from being trapped in some small silo filling up with acid, the hostage actually screams "Oh no, it's pouring acid!", and then later he says "Oh, my shoes are melting!", we get it, they're in trouble. Joel Schumacher clearly doesn't understand the rules of all show and no tell.

Our main villains are; Harvey Dent aka "Two-Face" (an over the top Tommy Lee Jones), and Edward Nygma aka "The Riddler" (a very comical Jim Carrey). The main problem with the casting here is; didn't anybody learn from casting comedians in superhero films? Remember when Richard Pryor was in 'Superman III' (1983)? That didn't turn out so well, I understand that Carrey is charismatic, but was casting him as the villain really a wise choice? His role in this is almost no different to the one he played in 'The Mask' (1994).

Director Schumacher clearly knows how to be theatrical, he knows how to make a movie visually exciting, but he doesn't know the true nature of the characters he is adapting. Batman is a dark and troubled character with a dark and troubled past that included his parents getting killed right in front of him when he was a little kid. I know I mentioned that Tim Burton was almost too theatrical, but at least he took the character more seriously than Schumacher does. This almost feels like a parody from time to time.

We also meet a young, circus acrobat named Dick Grayson (Chris O'Donnell) whose family gets killed by Two-Face, and he wants revenge. Bruce decides to let Grayson stay over at his mansion until he can sort himself out, but his thirst for killing Two-Face grows.

Nicole Kidman plays Dr. Chase Meridian, her character is completely bland and pointless, I fail to understand why Bruce is so in love with her, she maybe pretty (KIdman seems to be good at being pretty), but there is nothing to her character, she is almost boring in some ways.

I could go on and on about why this movie is wrong on so many levels, but having seen it through a child's eyes, and as an adult's eyes, my feelings remain the same. See it as a sequel to 'The Mask' (1994) and not as a comic book adaptation of the iconic DC Comics character...… Expand

Most people praise Jim Carrey because that's normally how to save a movie. Batman doesn't need to be comedy. Just stick with the action; that's how Batman makes up a great movie from DC.

Holy rusted metal Batman!......Something in me makes me like this movie more and more as I get older, but then I am only almost 18. Being a big fan of Burton's and Nolan's adaptation of Batman this movie directed by Joel Shumacher has aHoly rusted metal Batman!......Something in me makes me like this movie more and more as I get older, but then I am only almost 18. Being a big fan of Burton's and Nolan's adaptation of Batman this movie directed by Joel Shumacher has a special place in my heart. I love Batman comic-books and this movie brings a comic book into a real life world that has the mixture of both light and dark atmosphere. Now some people will not like, some people very much will like me. The negative of this movie grew only because it was connected Batman & Robin which is unfair because when the movie came out , it may not have got the positive reception like both of the Tim Burton's movies did, but it still did fine and became a box office hit. According to some source the movie has been praised by some critics back in the day, that is until that very interesting follow up up happened with Bat-nipples. This review might not make sense but what I am trying to say is I really enjoy this movie. 5/5.… Expand

Michael Keaton a tombé le masque et il sera toujours regretté, remplacé par le Val Kilmer qui restera une tanche quoiqu'il advienne... mais ce dernier ne s'avère pas aussi lamentable qu'on aurait pu le craindre, car il y a bien pire en vérité que lui : le nain de jardin acrobate qui l'accompagne par exemple...

Tout n'est pas perdu malgré l'autre "erreur" de distribution, à savoir le pitoyable bouffon Jim Carrey, car l'excellent Tommy Lee Jones s'en paye une bonne tranche dans son rôle du Double Face tandis que Nicole Kidman joue l'une des meilleures vamps qu'on ait vues depuis longtemps : elle reste sobre et mystérieuse à la fois, véritablement fascinante.

La réalisation de Schumacher est de bon aloi, de même que la musique d'Elliot Goldenthal qui respecte l'esprit de la saga bien que sans égaler celle du premier... Plutôt spectaculaire et sans baisse de rythme malgré ses deux heures et si l'on met entre parenthèses le Carrey épileptique, ce Batman numéro 3 est assez convaincant et serait presque bon si la distribution n'avait connu d'erreurs aussi grossières, y compris bien entendu l'apparition du petit Robin des bois en latex (mais qu'est-ce qui leur a pris ?).… Expand

Joel Schumacher's Batman Forever is a film that I have a lot of mixed feelings about. Honestly, I thought Val Kilmer was okay as Bruce Wayne but not so great as Batman. Chris O' Donnell's casting as Robin didn't really make much sense since Robin is supposed to be a teenager not a grown man. Jim Carrey wasn't really playing the Riddler, instead he played the Joker with question marks all over him. Tommy Lee Jones was also an over the top Joker-esque villain. However, all of that being said, I still find enjoyment in this film and my rating would be 5.5/10… Expand

This time, who directs the freak-show is Joel Schumacher, with the participation of Val Kilmer (in the lead role), Tommy Lee Jones (Two-Face), Nicole Kidman (Dr. Chase) and Jim Carrey (Riddler). If Burton's movies exaggerated the inability to show reality, the films directed by Schumacher show a reality that seems drenched in ecstasy and amphetamines. But the fault is not only the director, decidedly outdated, but also the absolutely miserable script, an abominable patchwork written by different hands. In fact, the actors cannot be blamed for the waste that this movie is. They had already given (and continued to give) evidences of their great talent in other films, and I'm sure they gave the best of themselves in this one too. As used to say a Portuguese actor named Nicolau Breyner (totally unknown to those who have never seen Portuguese cinema), "is not because the work is bad that no longer deserves my total commitment." Unfortunately for the actors in this film, the work was bad. Lack of realism, scenery and costumes coming out of the imagination of a user of psychedelics, use and abuse of stereotypes are just some of the mistakes that the film will commit, frame after frame. Did it have something good? Yes. The first is that the film has an end; the second is the light social criticism made with the character Riddle, who uses television as a mass mental control, a maneuver that almost approximates with our reality, of current mass media.

So, Batman fans, beware: stay prudently far away from this film.… Expand

Batman Forever was disappointing, having neither the epic plot of the first nor the amazing acting job in the second. I was super annoyed that they changed Batman actors. In addition to that, the story wasn’t even that good, the entire two hour movie was Two-Face and the Riddler trying to kill Batman. This seems overused by now, as this is the second movie’s premise in a nutshell. To its credit, Batman Forever has some really good plot twists, but sadly not enough to lift it from mediocrity. The biggest eye-roll of the entire film was that Forever contradicts previous Batman films, saying Two-Face killed Bruce Wayne’s parents. The Joker killed them as stated IN THE SAME FILM SERIES! That part was so stupid! However, I give the film a little extra credit for its amazing end song… Expand

Val Kilmer= one of the worst Batman actors. Boring and doesn’t emote. Gets shot and still acts like a robot. Robin played by Chris O’Donnel sucks. Tommy Lee Jones was seriously miscast as Two-Face. I absolutely hate Val Kilmer as Batman. Out of everybody that's played batman, he's the worse I've ever seen. Otherwise the movie wasn't that bad considering.

Not Batman Forever ... Just not. The change of actor definitely did not help here. The story is pretty much nothing. Overall, just an above average Batman movie and I definitely don't recommend it.
