Avengers Endgame is an amazing action movie and an epic ending to the saga that Marvel started 10 years ago, its a must see if you are a fan of super hero movies, action in general or you have been following this universe.

Overstuffed with Marvel's crew to the point where the individualism the brand has been lauded for is all but lost, the final battle seems stretched and inconsequential. Any comparison with Snyder's corrected version of HIS apocalyptic showdown will show (as it has ever since DC learned--yes, largely from Marvel--that character is the key to storytelling), just how shallow Endgame really is. It took Marvel over a decade to establish all the characters and set everything up. Infinity War and Endgame are the culmination of over a decade's worth of careful cinematic planning. The sheer scale of it... The nostalgia, too, because we grew up watching these movies. We've been watching these characters on our screens for years. We've seen them grow and develop. I honestly think we will never get a series of interconnected movies like this in our lifetime. Who could even do it? DC tried and it didn't really work out. They were behind and they rushed it. They have a couple of good movies, but not like Marvel. And there's also the superhero fatigue to keep in mind. Maybe Disney could do this with Star Wars. There are also the X-Men movies. But I digress... I've seen the entire Marvel Cinematic Universe multiple times. I love all of the movies. They're very good as a standalone. But they're even better when you take into account the shared universe element. I genuinely believe Avengers: Endgame is peak superhero genre. It's the apex. We will never get a more epic superhero movie than that in our lifetimes. Maybe Marvel will hard-reboot everything in like 50 years, who knows... This has been an incredible journey. And I know Marvel will keep making movies, but I think it can only go downhill from Endgame. I don't believe they can outdo the Infinity Stones and Thanos storyline and everything before that lead to it. Expand

What a sensational end to this particular arc of the MCU. Quality film!

'Avengers: Endgame' is all of what I expected/wanted and more. I got goosebumps twice throughout the (masterfully paced) 181 minute run time, I can't say many films have inflicted that on me! Love the ending and the way the Infinity Saga story wraps up.

The action is ultra thrilling, the score is fantastic and the effects remain great. I will say I don't think they nail the screen time for all involved outstandingly - that's not a negative, at all, it's just the fact that 'Captain America: Civil War' and 'Avengers: Infinity War' did it to an incredibly higher degree previously.

The cast are marvellous, pardon the pun. Robert Downey Jr. and Chris Evans remain superb and are still the most standout, though you also have the likes of Chris Hemsworth, Josh Brolin, Scarlett Johansson, Bradley Cooper and Mark Ruffalo - love the look of Hulk in this one, btw.

I've only become properly aware of all of the MCU in the last two weeks or so, yet this still gave me a memorable experience seeing this main story crescendo like this - I imagine it would've been quite the journey 'live' from ten years or so prior to the release of this.

Look forward to continuing with 'Spider-Man: Far From Home' and the end of Phase Three, and then - all things well - beyond.

At the end of this film, when all of the Avengers that had died from Thanos's snap return and to quote Captain America "assemble," it just makes me smile. If you're a fan of anything in the MCU there's something here for you, The final battle is honestly one of the greatest things cinema could ever witness-- From everyone coming back after being dead for 5 years to the music going heavy and the violins and brass to Cap finally saying "Avengers Assemble" it's honestly something I'll never ever forget--Throughout this movie I was laughing, crying and cheering every second of the way- While Stan Lee is no longer here.. This cameo is the perfect swan song for him and had me choking up just seeing him- This movie was everything I've ever wanted in a comic book movie and more! I can't recommend it highly enough! This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. It was very disappointing sequel and bad conclusion of MCU saga. It did not meet expectation and hype. Time travel thing is dumb, they can't even explain how it works so they use use "quantum physics" as an explanation.
In Infinity war, Iron man and Doctor Strange fought against Thanos on their own very well, and Thanos even had 5 infinity stones. But in Endgame, 3 powerful avengers could not fight against Thanos with no ifninity stone. Why is Thanos's strength such inconsistent?
In the scene where Hulk meets Ancient one, Hulk asks where Doctor Strange is. Ancient one says Hulk is 5 years early and Doctor Strange hasn't become wizard yet. She knew Strange would become wizard. It contradicts with Doctor Strange movie, because in that movie Ancient one was refusing to teach Strange about sorcery, she only did it because Mordo convinced her.
It also doesn't explain how did Captain return 6 stones. How can he travel to Vormir, Asgard and other planets? If he stayed in the past to live with Peggy, why is he, the old version of himself, is in the original timeline? Like these above, this movie has many unexplained plotholes and contradictions.
And the scene where all female superheroes gathering in the same place is very cringe and forced. Because it doesn't make any sense. There is battle happening everywhere, everyone is busy. There is no any convenient time for gathering. And why is Gamora even there? She came from 2014, she doesn't even know any of these people. Did she think "Hey looks like there are female heroes are gathering maybe I should go there too"?

Avengers endgame is overrated and disappointing movie, and Infinity war was 10 times better.

All in all, a snap of the fingers of perfection.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. This is the absolute worst marvel movie I have ever seen. I thought I was angry about the "strong independent women don't need no man" forcing. I thought I was angry about the inconsistencies. I am angry about the end of the movie, when Tony was at his weakest, barely managing to stay alive. Tony's wife indirectly killed him by telling them to give up and die. They had a chance of staying alive, you don't just tell someone they can die when they're barely conscious. Especially if it's someone their semi-consciously responding to. What actually happens when you tell someone that; They're a loved one and telling to die?; Must be better to die then. The absolute nerve and the ignorance. I don't even know how to describe this other than a massive betrayal from the character that doesn't even know they were the final nail in the coffin. I was personally insulted when they told him that, and a bit more when they cried after killing them. I would rate lower if I could. Expand

Although still not as good as the original avengers film. It is truly impressive how everything is blended beautifully with a mind flowing finale. Sure the time traveling stuff feels a little unnecessary but it works for the overall story. Its complexity gives all the performers here some inspired moments. I mean it was one hell of an experience being in the theater opening night and watching the audience go insane. This too me feels like the end of these films and although it goes on just a bit too long it ties everything up nicely.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Probably worst movie of MCU. There is nothing making sense about time travel. Dr. Strange only can hold glass of water in this movie. Iron man died for nothing if he just give it those stones to Cap. Marvel hole equation would've solved. But still last battle was awesome and again Thor is a totally disappointing. And what was the Thanos? How can even he be so powerful? Expand

Yes the film uses nostalgia to wink at the audience every five minutes but this does nothing but make the film look like just another CGI overhaul fan film that gives its previous instalment (infinty war) little impact. The character deaths were predictable as was the plot, to be honest I had been waiting for iron mans death since five years ago, he's a cool character, but severely overhyped and overused at this point. As I mention the comedy is tragically bad, with every character suddenly pulling terrible jokes out of "americas ass" as Ant man puts it. I mean seriously, Thor the God of Thunder is now an overweight drunk playing fortnite? Expand

It has an abundance of enjoyable humor, delightful nostalgic moments, and endearing fan service. Some of time travel material made little sense, but it didn't take away from the movie's enjoyment. Endgame provides solid closure to the stories of the many characters who you've become familiar with during the last decade, while also successfully setting the stage for the next phase of MCU movies. This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Avengers: Endgame is my favorite movie of 2019, my favorite Marvel movie, my favorite superhero movie, my favorite action movie, and my favorite movie of all time. Avengers: Endgame was awesomely action packed, beautifully emotionally impactful, and extremely entertaining. The performances that the whole cast gave were exceptional especially from Robert Downey Jr., Chris Hemsworth, Mark Ruffalo, Karen Gillan, Paul Rudd, Chris Evans, Jeremy Renner, Scarlett Johansson, Josh Brolin, Brie Larson, Gwyneth Paltrow, Bradley Cooper, Don Cheadle, Zoe Saldana, and Danai Gurira. Elizabeth Olsen, Tom Holland, Chris Pratt, Benedict Cumberbatch, Tilda Swinton, Lexi Rabe, Pom Klementieff, Tessa Thompson, Jon Favreau, Sebastian Stan, Chadwick Boseman, Anthony Mackie, Evangeline Lilly, Benedict Wong, Taika Waititi, and Yvette Nicole Brown all gave stupendous supporting performances. The writing, screenplay, and story were outstanding, funny, emotionally heartwarming and heartbreaking, I laughed a lot and even cried when Natasha Romanoff/Black Widow sacrificed herself, when Peter Parker/Spider-Man was hugging and then saying goodbye to Tony Stark/Iron Man, when Pepper Potts was saying goodbye to Tony Stark/Iron Man, and Tony Stark/Iron Man's funeral. The visuals and visual effects in the movie were remarkable especially Hulk, Thanos, and all of the scenes from the final battle against Thanos and his army. Every single one of the action sequences were magnificent. The outfits and costumes were very impressive especially the new red and white suits that all of the surviving Avengers and the other surviving superheros wore and all of the costumes wore in the the final battle against Thanos scenes. The hair and makeup jobs were phenomenal especially on Karen Gillan as Nebula Hemsworth as Thor, Chris Evans as old Steve Rogers, Zoe Saldana as Gamora, Pom Klementieff as Mantis, Dave Bautista as Drax, and Brie Larson as Carol Danvers/Captain Marvel. All of the set designs were spectacular. Anthony and Joe Russo's direction that they took Endgame was incredible. The music featured in the film was terrific and the score done for the movie by Alan Silvestri is my favorite film score from a Marvel movie and my favorite film score from any live-action movie or TV show ever. I am confident in saying that Avengers: Endgame will be my favorite movie of all time and my favorite thing that I have ever had the pleasure to watch for the rest of my life. Avengers: Endgame gets a huge A+++ from me. Expand

The time travel mechanics make no sense, the choreography of the end fight doesn't make sense, it lacks any sense of geography (even Michael Bay fights have some), this is specially disssapointing because the Russo Brothers previous film did had some. In contrast this is an overcrowded mess, that is impossible to follow, I hate CGI generic debris, you can tell they were just hitting the air at a green screen. The main villian is such dissapointment from the previous film, such a downgrade, Davy Jones in Pirates of the Caribbean 3 comes to mind. For all the cameos, not a single contributes to anything, you could remove some and the plot would be the same, the dialogue is mostly interchangable among most characters too. Worse part is the conflict that made the heroes lose on the previous film, as well as the Pseudo-Civil War where nobody died), is resolved off-screen. Nobody learns anything they just win by facing the equivalent of a Baby version, that's cheating.

Then everyone knows you shouldn't alter the past,.nor create alternate dimensions for selfish reasons. What this hero does, it makes Rick & Morty's Rick Sanchez look like a decent person. Is creepy. And resurectimg characters is always bad

It's a messy, convoluted time-caper strung together by cheesy one-liners, lowbrow actions, and halfwitted takes on morals, ethics, and the value we place on life. I understand that one doesn't go into a Marvel flick expecting high art, but the mass public fascination towards these characters and the esteem critics hold this film in would suggest otherwise. More to the point, I think that when you have this large of an audience, mainly of impressionable teens who are forming complex worldviews, you have a responsibility to give people something real to chew on.

The actors clearly had a good time working on this picture and their acting charisma really is a force to be reckoned with. That much I'll give the movie credit for.

This was everything i ever wanted from a movie that was as big as avengers endgame.
It starts with a dark tone.. but the first hour was full of slow paced storytelling with bits of action... It focused more on the characters arc and their development than the plot. The heroes were in a position we never saw them before
The second act raised the heart beat, it was a nostalgic rollercoaster ride full with throw backs, action, references and surprises too.. it was their one last mission and final act was a Cinematic masterpiece.
I can't imagine a better third act for any movie. And one particular scene was personally my fav. War battle showdown in history of Cinema..
And the final 10 minutes of course was a moment that made me bawling like child..
Andi left the theatre with plenty of emotions and feelings inside me.. who knew a superhero movie could do this to me in 3 hrs..
I wish i could rate it more than 10..

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Disney ended two of the biggest cinematic eras of all time (this and Rise of Skywalker), and only one of them was satisfactory. Avengers: Endgame ends 11 years and 22 movies worth of this story, and bring the characters' story-lines to an end, in the absolute best way possible. Everything from Iron Man's death to Cap passing the shield onto Falcon, while tear-jerking, felt earned. I loved what they did using the time travel element, and taking fans on a joyride through some of the high points of the MCU (thor the dark world aint that bad). It may be familiar, but it is still undeniably entertaining. And, the last act of this movie is one of the best, if not the best, moment in a popcorn movie ever. This movie was never boring, which is impressive for a 3-hour movie; even parts that can be considered slow are engaging character moments. I can't see anyone watching this movie and not at least having a good time. This is a phenomenal movie that brings all our favorite heroes together for one final stand, and it is kickass, funny and emotionally satisfying. Here's to the new era. Expand

After eleven months, you still don't get tired of watching the movie again.
It was the first comic book I've watched more than 100 times and I'm not tired yet.
The last sequence was great
I can't fault this movie because it was flawed: all the actors were natural
There was no sequence to get tired of, it had good funny sequences

Avengers: Endgame is about, nostalgia, loving characters, terrific visual effects and the perfect balance between drama, action, and comedy.

Most of the characters were well designed and developed in this movie, but I definitely didn't liked Captain Marvel, and I must say that I hated Fat Thor, in part at least. Don't get me wrong, he was the source of some very good jokes, but in the end, they killed one of our most beloved and strongest character, which is something that can not be ignored.

Avengers: Endgame has 3 hours long, but the movie never keeps dull, it brings you to the edge of your seat, and will make you'll cry, a lot.

Avengers:Endgame historic performance

This review was never about whether one should see this movie or how much money to spend. Standard, 3D, IMAX, or 4D, no matter how you see this movie it will be worth the money, regardless of whether you are a true fan or from the general population. This was further confirmed when all movie tickets were sold out 3 weeks prior to the opening weekend. But let’s talk about the enormity of this film and what Marvel just accomplished.

First, this movie did not disappoint. It is very hard to contemplate a movie that will ever have as much or more anticipation than Endgame. Just think about the build up of this film. From May 2008 to April 2019, Marvel, in 21 films, introduced heros, villians, plots, side plots, family members, love interests and countless easter eggs that culminated into this film.

Second, in a movie full with 10+ main characters, Marvel did an unbelievable job featuring each one and staying true to the characters we’ve all fallen in love with. This point could easily be a thesis paper for a doctoral candidate. The development and story arcs of characters, individually and collectively, in the midst of struggle and triumph is nothing short of amazing. The attention to detail and thoughtful craftsmanship is true artwork. One knock fans may have is the forced fandom moments. We have so many beloved characters but these moments comes as certain team-up pairings during the big fight that are great but also forced and stereotypical.

Lastly, this movie is beauty in motion. Mainly, the movie looks and sounds wonderful. If there is one knock against the movie, the final fight at points was too dark for some of the characters. Otherwise, the final fight displays exactly what many of the DC movies have failed with, Hero power display. Marvel did such a great job of making you feel every punch, kick, hammer throw but also made you feel like you were in motion with each character (thus why I believe 4D would be very good). The sound editing is very good and the song selections in this movie help the viewers follow the emotional rollercoaster ride everyone believes they are in for.

Marvel created near perfection for fans (or a near perfect ending). And the ending of this movie, isn’t even technically the finish to Phase 3 of their universe. That would be Spiderman: Homecoming coming soon. Phase 4 and 5 are also already in the works. Everyone that was a part of this movie and the first 3 phases should be applauded, but their work is not yet done because for those with the greatest power comes great responsibility.
