Wow, there are some really really bad scenes in this movie and the ending is the worst. If you can watch it, so you can fast forward through the bad stuff (you will know immediately what I'm talking about, it is so obvious) and then know the last 10 seconds are the worst... it is a enjoyable ride. Saw this after avoiding it due to reviews. It was better than expected. Definitely better than WW84 and better paced. Still had some slow parts and unusual decisions but is is basically an amateur, female John Wick

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. The part where she argues with the ex after saving him is comparable to the movie the room, terrible. Too long the drama with herself and with the secondary characters, and poor action scenes where the choreography is regrettable. the actors are all good, too much, it seems strange to me that it turned out so bad Expand

Despite the superb cast, the action is ok but the plot is wafer thin leaving the audience with little to invest in for either the hit business or the personal life of the title character. Often alluding to a tragic past which is never fully revealed outside of her being a gambler that liked to drink and was highly intelligent and skilled. Worth a watch if you like the genre enough but don't expect anything special. Expand

Devoid of asinine propaganda politics and has an ok storyline, but Ava (Chastain) is a broken character which may be somebody with dissociation, or a sociopath. She is sloppy and not that good at her job, yet the opening credits seem to make the claim that she's had over 40 kills.

The ending could have been solved in the hotel as well, and was needlessly drawn out for a scene in the public.

People who are sloppy probably don't make it in the assassination buisness.

Jessica Chastain self-produces herself to give more personal and family intimacy to a character similar to that of Reeves and Theron, John Wick and Joan Wicka, but the result remains below expectations.
