It's okay. But spends too much time on technology and corporate Intrigue. Which is not as interesting as questions like, what makes us human? Solaris and ex machina does it Better. Or even demon seed. Which is not about demons at all.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. I couldn't finally figure out what was the movie trying to do. Making fun of me? Was it a strong AI movie? Was is it about the 'Archive'? Did it use Sci-fi to describe the love between George and Jules? None of them! It actually ruined the whole thing by the wrong ending. You know, everything isn't that bad before the ending, I even believe it was a good movie. I really liked the idea of Archive, I liked the way that film described the past and motivations of George with a really nice fellow, it was very well-directed. But with the wrong ending, it turned into an average movie, from a 7.5 or even 8(if AI robots behaviours were more realistic). Rothery should have spent more time to create real AI robots(and not just human in a metal body), instead of trying to make the final scene more shocking. Expand

It was too stupid to be believable: a film about artificial deficiency that duplicates the human one of the designer, who is suffering from an unresolved mourning and is unable to diagnose the symptoms of jealousy for an adolescent Electra complex. I was hoping for a final twist: it is there, but even more predictable and banal than the rest.
