A Goofy Movie is filled with rock sequences that aren't hard enough to please real teen-agers but are too hard to attract any grown-ups. The music sounds like it was composed by Marie Osmond on PCP. [07 Apr 1995]
For parents, the burning issue ignited by A Goofy Movie is ”Will it buy us 78 minutes of peace and quiet?” Provided the kids are old enough to follow a wandering story line that centers on single father Goofy’s adolescent son Max and his quest for peer acceptance as well as he love of a pert humanoid bitch (in the doggy sense), the answer is yes.

Kevin Lima's feature-length cartoon has some funny moments, but why couldn't the gang at Walt Disney Pictures provide something for girls and moms to identify with, too? [05 May 1995, p.13]
