This move was well-made, well-acted and overall well done. For me, it's difficult to enjoy movies where things just get worse and worse for the protagonist. It works for short stories but for a full-length movie it gets tiresome.

This is quite a slow movie. Most of the movie nothing happens and a lot of scenes are mood builders. Being sort of a psychological horror movie it does get under your skin and becomes quite disturbing from time to time. Acting is ok but theThis is quite a slow movie. Decent take on the novella by King. The story's descriptions is what made the it so good and it didn't translate that well into a movie. I didn't care for the actor's voice-over narration at all either. Lots of times it made me cringe...

1922 is watchable enough, helped tremendously by solid production and strong lead performances. It's a slow burner though, with nothing of substantial surprise or deviancy to really provide any lasting impact. I thought the acting was great, and they did a great job in the props department with really making it look like 1922 without worrying about a budget. If there was a tight budget, it sure fooled me! Should say if I could give this a 5.5 rather than a full 5 or 6 then I would. The story of this movie is bland and forgettable, the basic plot of killing someone and being consumed by visual representations of guilt is done to death (haha)Should say if I could give this a 5.5 rather than a full 5 or 6 then I would. I did like the story of the son but the film would have been far more interesting if that plot were focused on more. Although the designs of certain '''hauntings''' are pretty impressive and the acting definitely has talent behind it, I'm sure this tale would have been better kept in the books.… Expand
