Another masterpiece from the Yorkshire Tea drinking developers, another multiplayer hit from those flat-cap wearing geniuses.

One of the best turn-based strategy games on the market. The single player mode is not so glorious, but with friends the game is a real blast. [Sept. 05]
  3. If there's any huge issue with Worms 4: Mayhem, it's that there's no massive leap into uncharted ground here.

Worms 4 Mayhem is the game that "Worms 3D" should have been. It is a much more polished product and even addresses some of the issues that have plagued Worms since its very first incarnation.
  5. Improvements have been made throughout the game and it retains a strong sense of fun throughout, something that has only been accentuated by the inclusion of the various customisations.
  6. This is no doubt the funniest strategy game I have ever played. Whether it's the weapons, the worms' language, their actions and emotions when they are about to be hit or their catch phrases, everything is UNIQUE and SPOT ON.
  7. At its core, Mayhem is a leaner, less confusing entry to the Worms universe than Forts Under Siege, returning the series to a time when worm-killing was simple and death came in the form of an exploding sheep.
  8. Worms 4: Mayhem has drawn me back in, revitalizing the gameplay a bit and throwing in a number of modes and customization options that'll have you blasting worms through the night. It's not an essential, but fans will want to worm their way into it.
  9. Worms 4 Mayhem proves Team 17 are starting to go back to their gameplay roots, and we for one are glad that they are. The single player mode is actually very playable for a change and serves as a great training ground for the inevitable multiplayer bouts that follow.
  10. Although the camera does make a few of the levels a bit more frustrating, fans will still want to add it to their collection and those into turn base games may find Worms a refreshing break form the other games out there right now.

I wouldn't say it's a big step up from worms 3d myself. It's very similar in graphics, sound, and gameplay. It's a good I wouldn't say it's a big step up from worms 3d myself. This is a fantastic, and has cured all of the problems from Worms 3D. The enviroments are much more fun, and the humor is deliciously bitter sweet.
