Official Xbox MagazineForget "Fuzion Frenzy," this is the better Xbox game to break out during a party. [Jan 2003, p.90]
-
Provides some great online action but lacks in the longevity department.
-
A viciously twisted game that isnt afraid to get its hands dirty but it falls short when it comes to the challenges.
-
More than anything, Whacked! should have made itself more like a game show.
-
With human opponents the games seemed much more lively and unpredictable, and of course, human opponents are more fun to beat on.
-
Hooking the headset communicator up and jumping into a game without any problems to irritate as many people as possible has proved to be more alluring then I first thought.
-
Not a particularly stellar experience.
-
The entire Gameshow mode can be completed within a few hours, and much of it feels monotonous since players are forced to do the same things over and over again. Unfortunately, that same criticism can be levied against the multiplayer game as well.
-
The single-player mode is plain and simple, and the multiplayer mode, once you get over the novelty of shooting people over the Internet, really lacks depth.
-
The game suffers from what appears to be a contradiction of gameplay elements. The overall theme is geared toward a more mature audience, but the gameplay is something that would appeal more to a younger crowd.
-
It's good, uncomplicated fun, but you won't ever want more than the demo version supplied with the Xbox Live Starter Kit. As a £40 purchase, Whacked! can get F---ed!
