Definitely worth trying, and legitimately funny in places. [Dec 2003, p.154]
  2. Just doesn’t bring anything new to the platform table.

Frontier has done an excellent job of creating a platformer that's authentic and true to the world of Wallace and Gromit, but it's done a rather shoddy job at creating a good platformer.

The models and animation capture the look of the short films, yet look rough around the edges; the camera is decent, but fights you when it really matters; and the music is quite good but strangely out of place. [Oct 2003, p.73]
  5. Fans of the series should definitely give it a shot because the game does do the Wallace & Gromit name justice in every respect. With a little tweaking of the camera and level design Project Zoo could have had a bit more flash, but it still ends up being pretty fun overall.
  6. A game that could prove entertaining for fans of Nick Park's peculiar pair, but, as a 3D platformer, it's simply not that impressive. When you add the game's relatively short length (of around six hours) to the overall lack of polish, Project Zoo isn't a terribly attractive purchase, but it can make a decent rental.

The worst problem is that certain jumps are damn nigh impossible - it's not even a question of skill. [Nov 2003, p.176]

Charming yet flawed, Zoo might be too much of an acquired taste and too little of a worthwhile experience. Consider this duo hardly dynamic. [Dec/Jan 2004, p.89]

A mixed bag, providing plenty of fun action, along with some aggravation. [Nov 2003, p.60]

Good. Ignore the critics, this is one of the best platformers on the XBox. Camera is occasionally a bit frustrating, but the level design isGood. Ignore the critics, this is one of the best platformers on the XBox. Camera is occasionally a bit frustrating, but the level design is fantastic, especially the final "factory" level. The voice acting and claymation-style animation capture the look and feel of the originals perfectly. Recommended. Full Review »

While i say this is a good game, it can get sodding annoying at times!
