Entertaining and a refreshing break from the high-adrenaline majority of games. The graphics are stunning and the sound is incredibly realistic. With the game being so long, it was too bad the story couldn't have been better.

Game InformerWhile the controls on this PC port are okay, they are clearly not refined for a console experience. [Oct 2003, p.139]
-
If you're willing to forgive a game some flaws in exchange for a memorable plotline and interesting characters, Syberia has those in spades.
-
This game doesn't have a whole lot going for it outside of the gorgeous backgrounds (which, again, are awesome). Between the slow moving story, the awkward controls, and the inability to discern some of the important items on the screen, I really don't think the game is worth spending time playing.
-
Controls are frustratingly unresponsive, which is just unacceptable for a title with such simple controls. The actual puzzle elements are not only easy, but compose a mere fraction of the game.
-
The experience is refreshing and for the most part enjoyable, so long as you're prepared to endure the first hour or so of the game.
