Its almost mind boggling how the opponent can easily deflect your super power kicks but totally not catch the weaker shots you happen to unleash.
-
It still takes the same exciting type of "no rules" approach that the previous games have taken, but RedCard resembles the actual sport of soccer far more than, say, a two-on-two basketball game represents actual NBA play.
-
Surprisingly enough Midway has done a fantastic job keeping the game real enough to keep hardcore soccer fans satisfied.
-
Plays more like a beta version of EA's FIFA Soccer than it does an "extreme" sports game from Midway.
-
A unique title with controls too complex for an arcade title and action too ridiculous for a simulation.
-
Official Xbox MagazineA merely adequate, uninspired, but occasionally funny soccer game. [Oct 2002, p.108]
-
Serious soccer fans won't get all of the authenticity they want and casual arcade fans won't get all of the thrills they expect from a Midway game entitled RedCard soccer.
-
Xbox Nation MagazineThe beautiful grass texture made us feel all outdoorsy and sexy. [Fall 2002, p.121]
