I felt like I was getting more of the movie's story, but playing through this was an aggravating chore. It's a rental, please don't buy it.
-
Its coolest feature is the glossy cover art. Dig inside and what you'll find is a game devoid of personality, thrills, and fun. In short, Enter the Matrix is everything it shouldn't have been, and nothing more.
-
Electronic Gaming MonthlyIn more than 20 years of playing games, I have never seen a console game as obviously unfinished and rushed to market as Enter the Matrix...This game is a complete mess, and that's the only complete thing about it. [Aug 2003, p.114]
-
It's blatantly obvious that this game isn't quite finished... While it does have its moments and diehard Matrix fans will drool over the extra videos, this game receives the blue pill.
-
While it does supplement the story exceptionally well, Enter the Matrix lacks anything that would make it stand out as a great or even good game.
-
The implementation here is nearly a complete waste, considering the richness of the universe involved. Lousy controls, sterile and anemic environments, and weaksauce driving environments all pull down the good work done in the sound, character graphics and new footage departments.
-
Xbox Nation MagazineFails dramatically... Severe, fundamental flaws permeate the experience, ranging from wince-inducing run-cycle animations to sloppy, unrefined controls. [Aug 2003, p.78]
