  1. Heavy on exploration and item quests and even makes a valiant attempt at some RPG-like combat, but most of all it’s a wonderful adventure that takes place in a fantasy setting that will delight the younger kids and their parents making this the perfect family game.
  2. For younger gamers, it tries to offer some valuable lessons about respect for others and responsibility, but the message seems to be clouded by all the pointless side missions and mindless monologues of other characters.
  3. 54
The game falls short most obviously in the gameplay, with its bland and linear levels and large amount of backtracking used only as an attempt to make the game longer, although it’s still only around five hours long.
  4. Tries very hard to capture the atmosphere and style of the Dinotopia books, but for the most part, it just isn't a lot of fun to play.
  5. Cheat Code Central

Nothing more than a stagnant, relentlessly boring game. You can exploit everything the game has to offer in less than a couple of hours.
  6. 40
The gameplay is lackluster, the musical track is enough to make you fall asleep and the voice acting is so bad that you can’t help but weep.
  7. Xbox Nation Magazine
    30
This is action at its most basic (see the enemy, press A, repeat) and adventure at its most boring (fetch widget and return to random townsperson). [Oct/Nov 2003, p.85]
