You'll never catch me playing this game in the arcades but having DDR on my Xbox ready to humiliate myself in the privacy of my own home is undeniable fun.

My only complaint would be that I would have liked more songs that I recognized and more dance/techno music.

If you don't care as much about getting really into the dancing however, the basic pad is just fine.

Konami ups the ante with more songs, even bigger Live support and more challenging gameplay. Nothing too revolutionary, but a fun DDR sequel nonetheless.

Ultramix 3 adds some new content in the way of new gameplay modes, but none of the modes are really any better than vanilla DDR-which means there's really no added value.

It seems that Konami knows that the novelty of the gameplay has worn off and made a number of attempts to freshen things up a tad. Unfortunately, those attempts severely fall flat and what you're left with is a game you've seen a dozen times over, just with a new soundtrack.

Dance Dance Revolution Ultramix 3 incorporates a bunch of new modes and switches up the songlist, but for many less-than-expert players will seem a little too similar to previous games.

What fans of the series have grown to expect, new songs and a few extra modes.

If you're still charmed in the slightest by the Dance Dance Revolution franchise, then Dance Dance Revolution Ultramix 3 will likely put a big grin on your face, and if you're anything like me, it'll complement those unstylish dance moves just fine.

Although the frame rate and sync bugs can be bothersome, as a whole this game isn't all that bad.
