Sep 4, 2024Warhammer 40,000 Space Marine 2 is an amazing, epic ride through a glorious hellscape. Visceral combat is matched by stunning graphics to create a title that never relents in being as over the top as possible. It is one of my favorite titles of the year so far, and one I cannot wait to dive back into as post-launch content starts to stream in.

Sep 7, 2024Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 is a love letter to 40k fans. The minor gripes I have with PvP cross play and cutscenes pale in comparison to the overall package that’s bursting with content and hours of fun times with friends. The insane dedicated attention to detail is everywhere, even in the smallest corner of the game. Saber really took their time, cared about the IP, and it shows. I highly suggest grabbing a copy, getting your friends together and killing some Xenos scum.

Sep 4, 2024It may not be a perfect product due to its structure being too tied to the past in relation to the structure of its maps, but bear in mind that it is a product that 10 years ago was a typical action game, but now it is a strange specimen to admire, in a new era of video games in which the trend towards single-player titles is once again gaining relevance and starring in all the podiums of each year. I don't know if Space Marine 2 will win any awards this year at the GOTYs, but, excuse the expression, damn if it deserves it.

Sep 4, 2024I said it before and I will say it again, I loved Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2.

Sep 4, 2024Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 is a spectacular achievement that gives Warhammer fans everything they could possibly have wanted when it comes to roleplaying their favourite chonky space boys. Saber's swarm tech is deployed to dazzling effect, and with purpose and context, too. This is the Tyranid swarm of your nightmares, and you've been given all the slick melee moves, sick finishers and great big shooty guns you'll need to stave it off. Think Gears of War with hundreds of enemies onscreen at once, with the cumbersome cover system removed and the speed dialled up and you're in the right place. And what a place to be, whether solo or with pals online, this is one of the best action games we've played in a long while.

Sep 4, 2024Warhammer 40000: Space Marine 2 could be the most spectacular action game of this generation so far. A game that combines visceral and frenetic action with superb technical aspects. The setting suits it wonderfully, with well-dubbed dialogues and an exquisite soundtrack, which is expanded with multiplayer game modes to add endless hours of gameplay. Although we cannot deny that the campaign duration or the number of operations may seem poor.

Sep 4, 2024Warhammer 40k: Space Marine 2 sets a new standards not only for games set in the 41st Millennia, but also for horde based shooters. The innovative combat system that cleverly builds upon the foundation of the 13 years old predecessor shows incredible depth when mixing different weapon styles. Together with an entertaining, albeit narratively shallow campaign and a wealth of customization for co-op players, this game is every Warhammer 40k fans dream come true.

Sep 9, 2024Gears meets the sons of Guilliman, in this epic sequel that would make the Emperor proud.

Sep 16, 2024A must play has appeared with Warhammer 40,000: Space Marines 2. This game offers an exciting and engaging campaign, with Operations being a valuable cooperative addition. Then you also have an excellent multiplayer, with everything wrapped up with a nice audiovisual jacket. One drawback is that the performance is not yet optimal and there is some lag online, but when that is fixed there is no reason to pass up this game.

Sep 4, 2024Warhammer 40K: Space Marine 2 is a bloody good time and a must play for Warhammer 40K fans or third person shooting games in general.
-
Sep 9, 2024Space Marine II builds upon and improves on its predecessor in every way. Come for the big stompy Space Marines, stay for the intricate interplay between melee and ranged combat.
-
Sep 17, 2024There’s no denying that Space Marine 2 is a good time. If you’re an action game fan that enjoys a sci-fi setting, you’ll happily spend quite a few hours blasting and tearing through Tyranids. And what more could you really want?

Sep 9, 2024Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 is a solid and enjoyable blast-a-thon with a good story to go along with the gory action
-
Sep 5, 2024Brutal, action-packed and well-made sequel to a fan-favorite shooter with an elegantly uncomplicated game design and an entertaining co-op mode!
-
Sep 4, 2024Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 is a well-packaged and spectacular third-person action game, with an excellent balance between melee confrontations and shootouts. The Campaign gameplay feels a bit bland with few memorable moments, but is redeemed by the excellent wealth of content in terms of online PvP and PvE modes. Highly recommended for fans of Warhammer 40K, an IP that here is exploited to great effect.

Sep 4, 2024I’m definitely eager to jump back in, maybe even tackle the game on harder difficulties, because I was filled with joy by the end, and a little bit of awe. The idea of galactic battles being fought by grunts has been realised with superb levels of detail. It’s not quite the game I hoped would tide me over until the next Gears of War, but it did enough to keep this Warhammer nerd very happy.

Sep 4, 2024Warhammer 40,000 enthusiasts will appreciate the finer details, but anyone that just wants to carve a path through teeming alien mobs will have a lot of fun, especially if they're playing in co-op. There are some technical problems to address, but with a robust roadmap of new missions and enemies in the coming months, I'm looking forward to taking up arms with the Emperor's Angels again and again.

Sep 4, 2024Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 is a terrific third-person shooter with a compelling story, loads of weapons that are a blast to use, and a healthy variety of enemies to use them on. It once again borrows many of its ideas from the Gears of War series, but they’re good ideas, and Space Marine 2 does a fine job of making them its own. And while the Operations PvE mode that accompanies it doesn’t currently offer enough to keep me coming back, the deep customization options for your Space Marine do look promising if it’s supported in post-launch updates as planned. Besides, when you’re eviscerating aliens on planets as pretty as these, it’s hard not to leave satisfied.

Sep 4, 2024After thirteen years, Space Marine is finally back, and it delivers on almost every front – more grisly gore, huge swarms of enemies, and, crucially, incredibly robust combat mechanics. It doesn't do much that's new, but who cares? Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 is a very good thing indeed.
-
Sep 4, 2024A fantastic kick of adrenaline that mercilessly sends you into close combat with the enemy, and gives you all the tools you need to do it in style.
-
Sep 4, 2024Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 lives up to the precedent set by the original Space Marine for the most part, offering a storyline and co-op experience filled with gore and action brought to life with excellent visuals. It's held back by irritating AI companions and a campaign optimized for co-op, leaving an un-balanced experience for solo players. However, if you're looking for a game to live out a Space Marine fantasy, and want some co-op fun, you'll be in for a real treat.
-
Sep 4, 2024Space Marine 2 doesn’t seek to reinvent the third-person shooter or hack-n-slash genres, but it’s a competent addition to both. That said, it’s a great game for Warhammer fans, and nails the feeling of being a Space Marine better than any other game. The combat is crunchy and satisfying, executions are beautifully brutal, and the thunder hammer is one of the best weapons in gaming. But issues with linear levels, ally AI, and the unknown future of multiplayer mar the experience a little. Warhammer fans will pick this up, everyone else is probably better off waiting for a sale.

Sep 3, 2024Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 is an immersive and spectacular experience, marked by a successful fusion of the TPS and beat'em all genres. The game impresses with its artistic direction, faithful to the Warhammer 40k universe, as well as its intense and diverse gameplay, which encourages a wide variety of approaches to situations. Character customisation and multiplayer cooperation add further depth, offering hours of fun in prospect. However, Saber does not reinvent anything and simply improves the formula of the first opus. The corridor aspect is still present, and there is a real problem with the AI of our brothers-in-arms. The interface for choosing game modes could be improved, and a save system for missions in progress would have been useful. Despite these minor imperfections, Space Marine 2 succeeds in offering an epic and brutal journey that will delight fans of the franchise and lovers of frenetic action.
