This game deserve more credits. I think some reviewers from official sites did not do their homework very well. Some say.....it looks like a game from the PS2 era. Yes thats what the dev's said about Wanted Dead its a live letter too those games out off the era. It take practice and high learning curve and understand the mechanics of the game. Sure its not a gane every one would like or can appreciate what the game stands for. Old school hard core gamers will appreciate this concept more. And offcourse there are some negative things. The ai off your teammates is not that great and sometimes the camera view is off pass. If u want a lot of hack and slash fun and dont mind the learning curve u gonna like this game with a lot of variaty in finishing moves. I give this game a 7+ Expand

I bought Wanted: Dead after watching DOOD playing it. This game delivers on the fun element but I experienced a lot of crashes during the first mission. The combat is insanely fun. Wait for patch, don't buy right away.

Game is fun and yes I got flashbacks to that PS2 era. Yet I rather have a new ninja gaiden from this team. Even on normal difficulty the game is extremely difficult to play and the combat mechanics are going to punish you without giving you an alternative. Yes you can parry certain melee and ranged attacks. But when you have 5 enemies coming at you when your ultimate ability doesnt workGame is fun and yes I got flashbacks to that PS2 era. Yes you can parry certain melee and ranged attacks. But when you have 5 enemies coming at you when your ultimate ability doesnt work the way it supposed to you’re dead and dead again. You start to think of where to die in which phase of this encounter I need to die. Because there’s a skill that allows you to get an extra stim pack when you die for the first time after the checkpoint. If the doc is around also. Anyway briefly it comes down to developers wanted to make fun of gamers and they did because it’s not a skill issue we are talking about here it’s a nonsense issue we are talking sbout here. A game cannot be good just because it’s difficult. Elden ring has a great balance regarding that but wanted dead is pushing the boundaries. Expand

Wanted: Dead is a fantastic old-school shooter. This retro title has a brilliant modern finish, smooth controls, and excellent animation. What's more, your foes are tough and each mission is captivating and interesting. However, you may not like the linear gameplay.

Wanted: Dead has truly been an experience. Combat takes center stage, though the fun of hacking and slashing away at lesser enemies is soon overshadowed by getting pummeled into oblivion during boss fights. Some aspects of the game could use some ironing out, but, otherwise, it’s a fun enough experience to pass the time and wrack up achievements & trophies.

In the end, I still enjoyed it enough to put in more than fifty hours in and still want to play more, despite all its problems. When it’s running as intended, it’s clear that this is the kind of game I’d like to see a lot more of — bloody, unpretentious, and gameplay-focused in a manner that’s eminently replayable thanks to strong core combat. That said, the good stuff in Wanted: Dead is buried under a mountain of problems — and when I say buried, I mean buried deep.
