It all has Street Fighter 6 off to an absolutely spectacular start. Capcom has learned its lessons well, and it’s crafted a terrific fighter that has room to grow.

A bursting-at-the-seams package full of things to discover, all while welcoming newcomers and pleasing veterans, Street Fighter 6 is most certainly a game of the year contender. This is the perfect fighting game.

The three pillars of Street Fighter 6 are accessibility, online features and a huge amount of content at the time of release. If you are a fighting fan, you are in for a treat this year as we still have Mortal Kombat 1 and possibly Tekken 8 to look forward to, although it would be extremely difficult for the other two to stand up to SF6.

The king of fighting is back with the most complete version we could imagine. It's almost a fight movie at times. And to get out of the ordinary, it is the most accessible fighting game and for all audiences that I have ever played. Experts and fans of the franchise will love the Drive system.

It's a full package at launch, unlike many other fighting games.

Street Fighter 6 surpasses its predecessor in almost every respect, with breath of fresh air in a 35-year-old franchise. It's a colorful feast for the eyes and great fun for every fan of 2D brawlers - whether you're looking for a quick match or plan to spend thousands of hours perfecting your skills.

Street Fighter 6 is the best fighting game of the moment. It is the perfect example of how to do a job that respects the basics of the franchise while introducing new elements that make it feel different. The introduction of the modern fighting system is great news for new players, making their entry into the genre more approachable. In addition, the Rollback Netcode works wonderfully, and the graphics are outstanding.

Street Fighter 6 is open like never before, yet balanced enough to leave no one at ringside. In short, the set is superb and we can't wait to see what Capcom has in store for us for the follow-up to this nugget.

Street Fighter 6 feels like a direct and hugely effective response to criticisms over the anaemic state of its predecessor at launch. Capcom has fully loaded three huge modes here, giving wannabe world warriors a veritable feast of fisticuffs to get engage with. World Tour is a great big cheesefest that revels in its madcap style whilst providing a fun story, engaging RPG elements and a great way to learn the ropes all rolled into one. Arcade Mode offers up a solid roster of 18 excellent fighters to choose from at launch, and the all new Battle Hub already looks and feels as though it's gonna be a great place to hang out and challenge other players once multiplayer kicks off properly. It's been a minute since we've had a new Street Fighter on Xbox, and this one's been more than worth the wait.

Street Fighter 6 feels like the most significant revelation for the fighting game genre since Street Fighter 2. No matter the skill level, all types of players will find something to enjoy here -- and even feel represented in some way. And for the most part, it does all of those things well while looking incredibly stylish.

Street Fighter 6 rights the wrongs of its past with multiple modes for every player and strong battle systems like no other. It invites new players into the fold with well implemented, simpler control schemes, without losing sight of the hardcore player. The World Tour mode won’t be for everyone, but Street Fighter 6 stands tall as one of the best fighters Capcom has made.

Xbox players have had to wait a long time for Street Fighter to come back to the platform and luckily got the best iteration yet.

Despite some uncertainty about Capcom's "after you buy the full-price game" monetisation plans, I can only recommend the game to all fans. Even those who previously found these games too complicated because of the controls. "Street Fighter 6" lives up to the series' heritage and convinces both in terms of presentation and mechanics. 2023 will be the year for fighting games fans, as there are still some great new releases of well-known game series to come. Street Fighter 6 has already confidently set the bar very high.

While the roster could use some spicing up, Street Fighter 6 is a total blast overall and has captured my attention in a way that other recent fighters haven’t. It’s a fantastic game straight out the gate for both for solo and competitive players, it features excellent netcode that provides smooth cross platform online play across decent connections, and there are a bunch of exciting new gameplay tools and tweaks to get to grips with. Capcom have essentially knocked this one out of the park, and Street Fighter just feels right again.

While Street Fighter VI has its shortcomings, the majority of the game is just so good that the little things don’t really even matter. This game is like Capcom’s way of saying “we hear you” after such a lackluster Street Fighter V launch back in the day. They have really put a lot into this game and it shows. I’m not even that hardcore of a fighting game fan anymore and when I play fighting games, I prefer to play Mortal Kombat games. Street Fighter is usually dead last when it comes to fighting games that I enjoy. Street Fighter VI is so good that it makes me want to sit down and actually learn a Street Fighter game after so many years of nudging them away in favor of other fighters. The game is not easy to master, but it’s definitely gotten easier to play and this installment is just plain fun. For a Street Fighter to be so very good from the start, I have GREAT interests in seeing how this game continues to develop during its lifespan.

As Street Fighter approaches its 36th year, Capcom proves that it still has what it takes to make a cracking fighting game. Street Fighter 6 not only feels fresh and vital thanks to its excellent World Tour mode and online Battle Hub, but it cements the series' credentials as one of the best around.

Well, complete success. This is the return of classic Street Fighter in its entirety. Arcade, Vs, fun modes, online matches, team battles, it's all there, all against friends locally, online or against the CPU. The new style is chic - at least I like it - the stages look the part, and with the different control modes, maximum accessibility is practically guaranteed.

Once the single player is done and you get used to the awkward presentation, we still have a very solid fighting game and a phenomenal foundation to build on. And at the end of the day, that's by far the most important thing in a game like this. As long as it's genuinely fun to punch your friends in the face, there's no way I'm going to get bored.

Street Fighter 6 is a real masterclass, and we have rarely seen so much care taken with a versus fighting game, whether in terms of the amount of content and the quality on display. The cast is varied, the atmosphere is bonkers and the modernised and punchy gameplay makes it all worthwhile. It remains to be seen whether the follow-up will be as excellent as the source material, but there is no doubt that Capcom intends to make this the ultimate reference for fighting games: something that is well on the way.

Doesn't help that this game's content is really lacking compared to other fighting games. Better wait for Ultra Street Fighter 6 a year or two later.......

They are just spamming special attack by pressing one button over and over again. Not fun at all and punishing the skilled player is a mistake! No reason to play SF6 anymore.

Offline game mode the world tour is the worst addition to the series ever. It gets old so fast in a few hours and the small roster is just sad. Without online and offline I don't know what to do with this disappointing game.
