    Real RE4 fans have been playing, absolutely enjoying and praising the remake (backed up fact by countless of Youtubers praising it + Overwhelmingly positive steam review score with over 30 000 reviews). At the same time, 4 chan trolls (and other trolls as well) have wasted their time, making fake Metacritic accounts and giving the game 0/10. It's extremely easy to make multiple    So yeah...

At the same time, 4 chan trolls (and other trolls as well) have wasted their time, making fake Metacritic accounts and giving the game 0/10. It's extremely easy to make multiple Metacritic accounts. In other words, don't take this user score seriously, because it is, literally, manipulated and fake.

    Game itself is very good, near-masterpiece. Easily one of the best games Capcom has ever made and one of the best RE games of all time. Only real thing missing is U-3 boss fight. Because Remake literally improves everything else. Also i'm pretty sure that U-3 will be in the DLC, so hopefully soon, even that problem is solved.

    Amazing game! Just like Dead Space Remake is now the main version of the game, same can be said for Resident Evil 4 Remake! Both games are classics, but sadly they are outdated in many aspects and both remakes improve these games greatly. From now on whenever someone is going ask "should i play dead space" or "is RE4 worth playing", then the remakes will be the only versions that will beAmazing game! Just like Dead Space Remake is now the main version of the game, same can be said for Resident Evil 4 Remake! Both games are classics, but sadly they are outdated in many aspects and both remakes improve these games greatly.     This remaster is amazing, it looks exceptional and the pacing is excellent. Capcom have streamlined the experience while keeping everything that made the original great and have thrown in some surprises to catch players of the original off guard. Highly recommended.

    I played the original Resident Evil 4 for the first time before playing the Remake so I have a fresh perspective on both games with 0 nostalgia. While I like the Remake much more than the original I still loved both titles and I think they pair well together. Overall this is just a much more matured game when compared to the original title on every front. It has a more matured story, characters, puzzles, and a combat loop that is far more engaging than the original game. My only complaints about the original game before playing the remake were certain sections of the island area that have now been altered or completely overhauled entirely for the better. The fiction has been heightened to new levels and the mistakes made throughout the original have been adjusted accordingly. Everything now fits within the context of this new tone and it all just works excellently without sacrificing Leon's wit and the original's charm. You have to see it to really understand what I'm saying. Without spoiling anything, the characters have been done much more justice. It all adds to the lore and gives the world and its characters much more purpose. From top to bottom this is a must play and I am just glad that the stars aligned perfectly in order for this game to exist.… Expand

    É baum, melhor que o 4 original. Quem discorda é um gado nostálgico que se prende a memórias antigas de quando sua vida não era um completo desastre. Mas em questão de obra, o remake é muito superior em tudo.

    Dead zones fixed. What an awesome game. I’m loving it even more on the second playthrough. Such a well crafted and balanced experience.

    The best remake of a game I never thought needed a remake. This game made my adrenaline spike to over 9000 several times like only a classic Resident Evil game can do. Ignore the haters and play the game, not sure why Metacritic has become a safe haven for trolls and haters recently.

    Absolute banger of a game. 10/10
    Gameplay and Graphics are top notch. It unlocks etc. gave me enough motivation to play through it multiple times.

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Resident Evil 4 Remake is definitely worth your time and money. It's one of the top games this year and best game to get right now and on par with the original in and Improves upon it in so many ways. Story: The story is pretty much the same as in the original but with a few new twists and turns there to keep you invested. It's a lot more well paced and crafted. A lot of characters have been improved and have more depth now, characters like Leon, Saddler, Krauser, Luis and Ashley have more in-depth characterization this time. There's a lot more lore also with the bosses and environments that gives the game more flavor and heart. The voice acting is great also everyone does an amazing job with their performances maybe except Ada Wong but everyone else sounds excellent. The dialogue is a lot more mature and sharper as well, I felt like in the original it was kind of too goofy with the dialogue but in this game the goofiness is there but it's balanced out by the more serious moments and it's a great balance overall.


    Gameplay: Instead of standing in place and shooting, in the more modern Resident Evils and Remakes you're able to move and shoot which makes gameplay more smoother and modern. This game has a lot of emphasis in action but it's also a horror game. Action Horror is what I can describe the remake and that's how it was in the original as well. You still have to worry about health and ammo and many situations just like classic Resident Evil also looking for key items and treasures. The Merchant is back but this time has side missions for you to do and complete, what I love about the side missions is it doesn't take too long to do and there all really fun to do especially fighting the side bosses. The Merchant sells items and weapons to you, a lot of the weaponry is back along with some new ones too to experiment with and a crafting system that comes back from Resident Evil 8. Gameplay is a lot more smoother and experimental. It's a lot more balanced and every weapon has a punch to it, none of the weapons feel like a dud and every single gun shines in there own way there's a lot of guns in the game to pick and choose as a favorite and I love that it gives you more options. The game is 15 hours long and it's completely worth it. Every minute and hour is not wasted in this game, there's content all around you in this. All of the bosses are here too with the exception of one boss cut from the game which was U3 and two areas from the castle aren't here but it absolutely does not compromise the greatness of this game and the world they built, if they anything it flows a lot better with out them and they replace those areas with new areas and I really love that about this remake.


    Graphics: This game is gonna look great regardless if your own PS4, PS5 or Xbox. The graphics are insane in this game with a lot of details and little things that will catch your eye. The areas are incredible and the architecture is impeccable. Everything is so realized and feels just like classic Resident Evil 4.


    The verdict: This game is worth every penny. Capcom put a lot of soul and care into this game. Resident Evil 4 Remake is an astonishing achievement that should be played and enjoyed by everyone. I'm on my 10th playthrough of this game l just unlocked all the guns and now just playing through the game with all my favorite weapons. This game is insanely replayable just like the original with treasures and optional puzzles to find, weapons to experiment with and outfits to make yourself more goofy. This game is a masterpiece.     If i should criticize the game as a remake, gameplay is well developed for me this game has most enjoyable gameplay in entire franchise, graphic and animations are far better than other aaa games (of course there are some expections like lastofus2 and rdr2), loyalty and innovations has balance. Beyond remake, game has classical basic and predictable Resident Evil story. Luis, Ashley andIf i should criticize the game as a remake, gameplay is well developed for me this game has most enjoyable gameplay in entire franchise, graphic and animations are far better than other aaa games (of course there are some expections like lastofus2 and rdr2), loyalty and innovations has balance. Beyond remake, game has classical basic and predictable Resident Evil story. Luis, Ashley and Krauser are in a better position comparing to original. Yeah, I was confused for a while for Ada's voice actor changing but I didn't care anything about it after her second scene. Game causes tension not fear, don't expect anything about horror.… Expand

    This is the Best Resident Evil Game to date since the original Resident Evil has came back in 2005, when I was turning 3 years old watching my dad play through the 4th game which does bring back good memories with my Dad, when playing the 2023 Remake of Resident Evil 4, plus I've completed the main story 12 times now because it's such an amazing story in general and the Graphics are "TopThis is the Best Resident Evil Game to date since the original Resident Evil has came back in 2005, when I was turning 3 years old watching my dad play through the 4th game which does bring back good memories with my Dad, when playing the 2023 Remake of Resident Evil 4, plus I've completed the main story 12 times now because it's such an amazing story in general and the Graphics are "Top Notch Mate" with the new additions to the game like driving a boat around the lake to riding a cart through the mine's n' having the option of doing stealth during the main story and all of the weapons are just amazing once Fully Upgraded whilst some of the weapons are just great without any Upgrades, so all I'm trying to say is that the Remake of Resident Evil 4 is definitely worth putting your hours into playing through it ❤️… Expand

    I just finished this game on xbox on normal difficulty and i can say this game is a super fun ride and an experience every gamer - who appreciates quality video games - should make. The graphics, the sound design, enemy design, atmosphere, characters, music, sandbox, the combat, the horror, the overall presentation, everything is top notch. Why do i give it "only" a 9 out of 10 rating? InI just finished this game on xbox on normal difficulty and i can say this game is a super fun ride and an experience every gamer - who appreciates quality video games - should make. The graphics, the sound design, enemy design, atmosphere, characters, music, sandbox, the combat, the horror, the overall presentation, everything is top notch. Why do i give it "only" a 9 out of 10 rating? In my opinion most bossfights seem a bit uninspired and the controls on the xbox are worthy of improvement (dead zones for left stick). But all in all a fantastic game and the fact that we can unlock a new game plus and costumes and much more while playing the game without paying for stupid microtransactions shows that Capcom really cares.

    I never was the biggest fan of the original RE4. I liked it, but also kinda hated it, for pushing Resi in another away from survival horror direction. So my hopes for this Remake were, that it improves on that front, becoming more Resi feeling, more creepy, more survival horror. I wanted the Remake to make me finally become a fan or even love Resi 4. Well, as you can see on my score, this mission was successfully accomplished. Even though they cut a good amount of locations and even bosses from the game, i don't mind it. I can't say that i miss the cut stuff too much. They improved the game on so many fronts and added so many new places that fit perfectly into the game,that the cut stuff isn't really missed. For the sake of not making this Review a 100 pages book, i'll just say this.
    It's very faithful to the original game, it just presents it with massively improved graphics and sound, much better creepy moody atmosphere, much more story pieces, especially more background to characters, added side missions for extra rewards, but overall, it's still the game you remember and probably loved, just much better. Like it should be. That's what a great Remake should do. In my opinion, the Remake is better than the original, because it's a massively improved version of it, making things that were terrible much better, so the experience is just much more intense and much more fun. After this Remake i'm definitely a fan of this game now, i would even say i love it now and it has become one of my favorite ones in the series. What is insane that the Remake actually accomplished that. This just shows what a good Remake this actually is. Capcom did it once again. Good Job.    … Expand

    Resident Evil 4 Remake is an absolute delight. Veterans of the original will love the changes and newcomers can now appreciate just how good this game actually is. Capcom continues the trend of keeping the series fresh in our minds. I cannot wait for the next new entry as well as what remake they do next. Almost guaranteed we will see RE5 next, but Capcom please listen to your fans and give us that Code Veronica remake we so rightly desire. Regardless, fans of the series are eating so good right now.

    Small technicalities aside, Resident Evil 4 on Xbox Series X|S is a wonderfully recreated thrill ride from start to finish. Capcom have struck a perfect balance that should keep both veteran players and newbies happy.
