    Excellent game. The story and characters are awesome. It looks great too on series X. So happy psychonauts is back after all this time. Really charming platformer with interesting themes. Very unique game. For anyone who bases their actually purchases (which you prob don't need to purchase because you can try P2 on gamepass) off user scores on metacritic, you shouldn't.     It's Just the best game of the year until nós for me. Along side "It takes two" and "Ratchet and Clank", it's a really good exemplar of modern plataformers done right. It has a few rough edges, but it's simple not enough to takes a way the Fun and the masterclass of good level design.

Also, 20hrs of gameplay and it's on Gamepass for a small monthly fee is crazy. If you don't already own Gamepass I suggest signing up, because if you're new, you'll only pay $1 for 3 months which is even crazier then this masterpiece of a game.This game is amazing!     As someone who doesn't like 3D platform games, I was amazed be how much the original won me over back in the day. Fast forward to present day and lightning has struck twice. This game is just as funny, well written, and a trip to play as the original. Another feather in the hat from the company that gave us Grim Fandango and Full Throttle. Well done Double Fine.

    Un juego muy entretenido y con un diseño de arte muy llamativo y disparatado, nunca fui fan de los plataformeros y posteriormente había jugado crash4 pero lo deje a medias aparte no había jugado el primer juego, este juego lo llevo jugando como 3 horas y estoy encantado, felicidades a Microsoft studios y a las personas que ayudaron a hacer este juego realidad

    I can't believe there are people who are low enough to review bombed this game. It reminds me of a certain fanbase of a specific console. Others rated it for dumb reasons like "No Russian language". Anyway, the gameplay, graphics, characters, and story is all top tier. I genuinely believe that this game is a GOTY contender.

    The game is a love letter to all fans from the first one, it's amazing in every sense. Maybe the combat it's kinda clumpy but you not play Psychonauts for the combat.

    I am so glad Metacritic removes the fake troll reviews. The game is amazing and a true sequel for long time fans. The way mental illness is portrayed is beyond incredible in the game. The gameplay is fluid, voice acting top notch, and the music is incredible!! Turn up the volume in the Sensorium and man jeeze!

    To simply put it- one of the best games I’ve ever played to date.

    The story tackles some challenging topics in the best ways- panic attacks, mood changes etc. The combat also feels great if you use your psi powers correctly and keep upgrading them from time to time. The story is so well-developed and interesting, I couldn’t stop playing. It was extremely engaging. This game is    To simply put it- one of the best games I’ve ever played to date.

    Backed this game during the campaign because I loved the original so much. Played on my ps5 and absolutely loved it. Reminded me of when I was in high school playing the original. Absolutely worth the time and one of the best games I have played in a long time.

    La richesse du jeu est incroyable, le scénario vraiment bien écrit, on plonge dans les dédales du cerveau et de la psychologie, à chaque où l'on croit remonter on plonge plus profondément encore, avec une originalité toujours renouvelée, je lui aurais mis 9 si il ne se faisait pas bash, le travail du studio est incroyable mais il reste quelques finitions( normal et c'est pour ça que le 9La richesse du jeu est incroyable, le scénario vraiment bien écrit, on plonge dans les dédales du cerveau et de la psychologie, à chaque où l'on croit remonter on plonge plus profondément encore, avec une originalité toujours renouvelée, je lui aurais mis 9 si il ne se faisait pas bash, le travail du studio est incroyable mais il reste quelques finitions( normal et c'est pour ça que le 9 est amplement mérité), j'en suis à une quinzaine d'heure et mon plaisir ne fait qu'augmenter, un must have c'est certains, amis du gamepass foncez si ce n'est pas déjà fait !… Expand

    Playing on Series S. This game is a lot of fun, humorous, touching, emotionally deep. The art style is fitting for the nature of the game and very charming. Controls are very responsive and there are quite a few secrets to discover by exploring. Fantastic game!

    I can honestly say the wait was worth it. The story is engaging and the characters are memorable. I am glad that Double Fine stuck to their roots and didn't try to create a game that is like every other title. The title is quirky, clever and plays to its strengths. I recommend the title to new players as well as if you played the original. Definitely a game of the year contender.

    I was someone that got into this series once the first get hit gamepass and the first game was really impressive considering how old it is. This game takes it to a whole new level! It is such a fun experience, amazing art style and gameplay. The real star of the show for me was the voice acting and the writing. It has deep themes, but light humor. The game is visually stunning, with not only the hub worlds but especially the minds being incredible to look at from any angle, the visual metaphors are back and better than ever and the gameplay has greatly improved since we last saw it 16 years ago. The game fells super fluid to play with, and that anything you want to do, you can do if you try hard enough. Exploration is encouraged in every corner by the massive amount of collectibles hidden in every cranny, nook and corner, but not so many like Super Mario Odyssey as to where it would feel unsatisfying. Combat is refined too, with a big focus on utilizing the best psychic power on the correct enemy at the right time to have the biggest chance at sucess, but with enough freedom to where you can fight then with other playstyles if so desired too. Voice acting is amazing and since the story happens only a couple days after the original game, it's incredible how well everyone could still perform these characters after 16 years in real life and for it to feel like only 48 hours in the universe had happened. The game has a ton of fan service, with a lot of jokes and references to the first that make it feel like a real love letter not only to this amazing universe and it's characters but also to every psychonauts fan out there that took their time learning everything they could about the universe from the first game. This is now my favorite game ever, and a really strong recommend from me for anyone that likes fun, heart warming stories with a lot of surprises, twists and turns. 10/10.… Expand

    Amazing game! Visually it’s beautiful! Reminds me of a Tim Burton movie! The gameplay is very entertaining, you will have lots of fun on Razs journey, if you didn’t played the first one, don’t worry theres a video and you can see what happened before! I recommend everyone to play this game

    Gameplay is good, the story is good. Great loading times, it's on gamepass, so u could give it a shot on last gen consoles and next gen. The game looks runs great as well on the xbox series x, high resolution and good performance. I recommend playing this on the series consoles

    I played it and I'm very satisfied with everything so far, the graphics are very good, it's something to enjoy, the gameplay was what caught my attention and it's great to do all the game controls because they are very accurate compared to the first one. this one can surpass its predecessor in all congratulations the developer this game is wonderful and if i could give more than ten.

    Charming writing, interesting plot, great voice acting, amazing world building and art style. I rarely play platformers, but I had such a good time.

    Psychonauts 2 managed to restore my faith in the genre of 3D platformers. This is a creative volcano spewing ideas left and right - it can make you laugh, it can make you cry, it can make you think. And it will definitely make you have fun.

    Psychonauts 1 is the perfect example of the term cult classic, and Psychonauts 2 has created another masterpiece that I am only assuming won’t receive the attention it deserves. They have perfected and expanded on their original idea in every way and created a world full of heart and fun. It’s been well documented that the last few years it took to bake were used to expand the boss battles, and finely polish the areas that were complete. It’s clear that the added funds from being a Microsoft studio were put to good use and the team at Double Fine should be very proud of what they have created. I cannot wait to see what they create next.
