Need For Speed Unbound is an excellent game that’s unfortunately plagued by some of the worst decisions I’ve ever seen implemented into the multiplayer. Unbound would easily be a 9 out of 10 if not for the total lack of ingenuity that is the multiplayer. The matchmaking is terrible due to the fact that it relies on only pulling players from your 16 player lobbies, making it nearly IMPOSSIBLE to have those 8 man races that the game is literally built for. Not to mention, the horrific spawn points after crashing create some serious RNG where oftentimes, you’ll actually benefit from getting full on smashed into a building and then spawning way ahead of second place somehow. And don’t get me started on traffic, everyone drives like they’re drunk and on a mission to take your ass out without reason. It seems the traffic picks and chooses who they’re going to go after and I’ve often been taken out of races/seen others taken out by pedestrian cars suddenly swerving into the middle of the race like absolute idiots.

Overall I’d love to give Unbound a 9, but the multiplayer was implemented so terribly that I can’t genuinely give this game any better than a 7 as of now. Hopefully this will change in the future but Need For Speed is notorious for lacking decent post launch support, so I won’t put my money on those needed improvements happening.

I think this game is great in terms of Art, style, handling, and fun. however, how much of the games budget was put into idiotic writing? Why does the radio talk about politics the whole time? I just want to know why and who decided that we were going to make half the dialogue in the game be political? And GTA silly stuff, but like virtue signaling and really watered down stuff that added nothing of value.

I would of gave this game a 8.5 if I didn't have to turn off subtitles and drown out out the dialogue.

Un juego para niños o adolescentes como mucho.
Los efectos y la estetica anime sobran, ademas los efectos no se pueden desactivar.
La fisica de conduccion es excesivamente arcade

I really enjoy the game. The cars are hot, the graphics are ok, the map is interessting. Unfortunately the most of the musictracks are awefull and that **** doesnt harmonize with a autotune-racer. it doesn't seem believable or realistic, we dont need that gen Z in each damn game...

My kid who's 13 loves this and plays a lot, unfortunately there's no hook for the mature player..
The dialogue somehow feels completely out of touch and is uninspiring..
It's looks and movement are smooth if a little generic.. Despite the tags! There's no support for logitech g923..? Though some of the game mechanics like police chases etc can offer a little excitement, you've seen all

Doesn't engage beyond 20 minutes play, dialogue makes you want to skip, a little buggy in places, average racing.
    All effects no content..
Shame, often an issue with open world games (the real world is mostly working for a little fun) the balance of work /fun is way off
    Too much grinding

Worst written game I've ever seen in my life. It must have been made for children and women. Graphics are amazing and I enjoy the gameplay but the story is so cringe.

I mean to say, the game is good, the AI is good, the physics are really good, but there's nothing to do other than the main story. That's this game's downfall. It is beautiful though.

I had quite some hopes after watching all the Reviews the past months. This game is far from being a 8 or even 9. It may be the "best NFS in years". But that still puts it at around a 5-6, maybe a low 7. Heat etc. are all just 2-5/10 games. So Unbound being the best NFS in years doesn't mean crap. On the big scale it's still mediocre and forgetable junk. A few years down the line a bunchI had quite some hopes after watching all the Reviews the past months. A few years down the line a bunch of YT clowns will probably call it the "misunderstood classic in the NFS franchise" to farm views and attention - same thing that they do with NFS:Run now.

I played Unbound for a good 6 hours before giving up on it. Luckily I didn't give EA any money for it, due to it being free on Gamepass now.

Soundtrack is a solid 2/10 in this game. Found 2 decent Songs for my Spotify playlist. Rest is crap and doesn't even suit the gameplay, ever.

If you enjoyed progressing from slower cars to faster cars as in NFS Underground give this a try. This game is not for you if you want to drive supercars immediately. Cops are quite annoying at the beginning but it gets easier with faster cars. I even got used to the art style, the whole game is arcade so the art style is not so disturbing after all.

NFS unbound revives good memories of previous generations with Criterion company, especially good things from Burnout are seen again, but we are still not on the side of perfect game. As much as the chase by the police is one of the strengths of the game, it is also considered as its weakness. In general, you will experience a good racing experience with a little bit of sadism.

The best Need for Speed title in a long time, Unbound has such a fun gameplay loop and funky style that it's hard to put down. It has a hard difficulty and slightly odd game feel, but most players of racing games will have a blast here and probably fall in love with the chaotic and frantic police chases. Pick this up!

The aspiration of returning to the series' most successful titles is evident here. Illegal races, over-the-top tuning, a specific but fitting soundtrack, an open world, and police chases. It's not outright bad, but it could be a lot better. I would have liked more variety as well. I'm definitely positive about the elements that gave the game a unique identity. [Issue#325]

Need For Speed Unbound, even at its launch, is certainly rather packed with content. The story sees the player throughout 4 weeks of days and nights throughout many events, some mandatory and most optional, with players always being able to decide how many seen-before events they wanna rush through again for some extra cash. With tons of unlockable and upgradable cars, a robust if uninspired multiplayer and an open world with plenty of things to do, Unbound’s unlikely to last you less than a couple dozen hours, unless you get bored before the end credits of course. But boredom isn’t what I’d associate with the latest installment in this everlasting franchise: Need For Speed has found its identity, and while a few concepts require some finetuning, it’s the best episode in a long while and one of the most stylish and generally finest racers of the generation thus far.
