Indiana Jones and the Great Circle: The Order of Giants serves as an engaging addition to the latest adventure of Dr. Jones, offering more entertaining puzzles set within a beautifully rendered depiction of both Rome and its subterranean depths. If you enjoyed the base game, this DLC will undoubtedly appeal to you as well.

The Order of Giants favors a more linear, focused experience that provides the best of what the game has to offer. This is the most fun i had solving puzzles in a game this year, along with some of the best cinematic moments i witnessed ever.

Indiana Jones and the Great Circle: The Order of Giants can be romped through in a single sitting, but despite its fairly short run time, there’s still some fantastic new brainteasers that make you feel like a clever archaeology professor and some atmospheric new areas to whipcrack your way through like a nazi-punching archaeology professor. What I’m trying to say is that even though it’ll only take you as long as rewatching a couple old George Lucas films about a tomb-raiding archaeology professor. Indiana Jones and the Great Circle: The Order of Giants is a welcome stopgap until Machine Games returns with another fantastic fascist-thumping adventure starring everyone’s favourite archaeology professor.

Indiana Jones and the Great Circle: The Order of Giants is bittersweet. Despite getting almost everything right, as did the base game, it’s hard not to feel short changed by the time the credits roll. Let’s pray Indy’s not about to hang his whip up anytime soon.

The Order of Giants may not quite have the same impactful foes that permeated Indiana Jones and the Great Circle, but it's still a puzzle-laden adventure worth seeing through. Rome has never looked better in video games, and Troy Baker continues to put in a phenomenal performance as the titular hero.

Nine months is a bit too long of a wait for this DLC to truly recommend returning to the game for, but newer players who will have it folded into their organic playthrough are in for a tough but enjoyable addition to an already excellent game.

Fans of Indiana Jones and the Ancient Circle will immediately feel at home among the streets and underground passages of Rome explored in Order of Giants. In terms of dialogue, cinematics, and recreation of real-world locations, the DLC performs quite well and offers mostly well-crafted puzzles, with the exception of one puzzle that was interesting on paper but not without its rough edges in practice. Narratively, this content has its moments, but in our opinion, it failed to fully exploit the potential of the main elements constituting the story, which proved anything but essential. That said, those who want to extend their stay in the world built by Machine Games now have the opportunity to do so.

Indiana Jones and the Great Circle: The Order of Giants is short but sweet. The DLC is packed with mystery, solid puzzles, and that classic Indy flair. It’s not as grand as the main game, but if you’re craving more, this DLC delivers a fun (if pricey) ride.

For better or worse, the first DLC of Indiana Jones and the Great Circle feels like side content, more like something cut from the main game than a true expansion. While it offers a few well-made puzzles, the lack of set pieces and a lackluster story drag it down.

The Order of Giants is more Indiana Jones and the Great Circle, for better or for worse. Those of you who liked the base game's slower paced sections should get on well with the DLC, and its puzzles feel satisfying and fair throughout. Combat and exploration are lacking though, and just like the core game, I feel like the pacing is completely off - which definitely takes something away from the sense of adventure here. The Order of Giants is a solid expansion to MachineGames' 2024 title, but don't expect anything wildly different or unique from the team's brand-new DLC.

The Order of Giants had a chance to do something fun with one of the most interesting aspects of The Great Circle‘s story, but it missed the mark. The DLC was fun as an excuse to play more of MachineGames’s excellent game. But it quickly began to feel like a mish-mash of ideas that were left on the cutting room floor.
