Nov 10, 2025Hotel Barcelona has a handful of flaws, but if you're willing to stick it out, there is a gem of a game underneath the rough surface. While I would've liked to see more polish and a few more levels to explore, the core gameplay loop is solid. I continually went back to Hotel Barcelona for "just one more run," even after I'd beaten the main story. It's also a good choice for busier gamers with limited play time, since a single run can be completed in a 15-minute setting. Hotel Barcelona is not a game for everyone, but if you're a fan of cheaper, quirky titles (like me), this is your jam.

Sep 26, 2025Hotel Barcelona stands out for its unique style, gradually revealing strong gameplay after a shaky start. Flawed design, balance choices, and technical issues limit its impact, and like the B-movies it emulates, it entertains without cutting deep. Yet its atmosphere and personality linger, giving it the potential to become a cult classic: imperfect, but memorable for genre fans.

Sep 26, 2025A crazy adventure that looks promising and is enjoyable if you're willing to overcome its gameplay flaws.

Sep 29, 2025Hotel Barcelona is a game we will remember more for its extravagance than for its quality. A title that will thrill fans of its creators, but will hardly convince those looking for a polished and addictive roguelike. A cursed hotel that is a pleasure to enter... but one that you want to leave quickly.

Jan 20, 2026Hotel Barcelona is oozing with style but the gameplay drags the game down way too much to be fun or memorable.
