    Its rare a game comes along and makes me laugh out loud as much as this did. I love the humor so much I actually want to listen to what npcs are gonna say next. Im now a huge fan of Squanch Games thanks to Xbox Game Pass.

    Colorful and Entertaining. Gives a Rick and Morty Cartoon Vibes. And the Gun is Morty keeps your spirit up always. Gameplay is your typical first person shooter. The real winner are the characters and how it gives a different experience that your regular First Person Gameplay. Must try.

    This game is very dependent on whether you like the humour. At first I thought it was quite funny, but it got a bit annoying a couple hours in. That's not the main reason I score it low though. The gameplay is kinda boring and there are some game breaking issues. Performance wasn't great but the biggest issue is the checkpoint system. I got stuck a few hours in and it checkpointed me.     I'm actually speechless that critics are dumping on this and at the same time praising Pentiment as some sort of second coming. Pentiment was complete, utter, self-serving, agenda shoving LAZY trash that loves the smell of its own farts. High on Life however, it's just pure fun. ...And some fart jokes.

    I can't say for sure if you'll love this game without being a Rick and Morty fan.     I can't say for sure if you'll love this game without being a Rick and Morty fan. There's zero connection to the show beyond the voice actors and creator, but the humor is very similar. That being said, I have heard people say they aren't really into R&M but love this game. Personally, this was the best experience I've had playing on my Series X. The graphics are slick, with a style that shows a lot of creativity and love. The writing is hilarious -- honestly this is classic LucasArts level of humor (and meta-humor.) The gunplay isn't best-in-class but it's more than serviceable. Did I mention how funny this game is yet? Literally laughed out loud many, many times.

    It is SO refreshing to play an original game that has no motive beyond entertaining me and making me laugh. The AAA and Indie scene has gone very stale, hopefully some of those creative types take a break to get High on Life before making their next game. We need more entertainment focused on fun.    … Expand

    La jouabilité se révèle répétitive et très médiocre… simplette et réduite à sa plus simple expression, sans nuance, bête et brutale : tire sur des trucs avec ton flingue qui parle…! et c’est qu’il en raconte des conneries, ce flingue (on dirait Némo !). Tous ces dialogues de plus en plus ineptes qui parlent pour ne rien dire, s’avèrent d’ailleurs très fatigants.

    Quand on ne flingue pas, on saute et on s’accroche : ce n’est ici qu’un jeu de plateformes en vue subjective, rapidement ennuyeux. L’environnement est de mauvais goût et très criard… on dirait un indé en 256 couleurs ! alors qu’en vérité, c’est tout de même un peu mieux que ça.

    Mais sur consoles, du moins, il ne tient jamais ses 60 im/s et fait le yoyo : c’est très désagréable, surtout au vu de la tronche du jeu et de ses niveaux étriqués ! Enfin bref, on ne va pas y passer la nuit : ce jeu est une daube ! il s’est cru très main et très ‘marrant’… mais il est simplement con comme ses pieds !    … Expand

High on life es un juego fantástico, tiene un humor bastante negro pero entretenido con grandes referencias a otros sagas y a diferentes personajes del mundo del espectáculo. Los jefes tienen su dificultad y cada uno tiene su forma para derrotarlos. Que las armas tengan su propia personalidad le da un añadido extra al videojuego que lo hace algo innovador, además el tutorial es una sátira a los juegos shooter antiguos. Si quieres pasar un buen rato y disfrutar de un shooter innovador este es tu juego. No niego que de salida presento algunos problemas de rendimientos pero fueron solucionados rápidamente por eso mi nota es un 9/10 sino alcanzaría la máxima… Expand

    What will take it higher or lower for you if the humor. If you find it funny you'll like it even more but if you're not a fan of Justin Roiland's humor you'll probably hate it. I never played a gamr like this ever because of the pointless dialogue yet funny to hear makes me wanted to hear to the end unlike any other game and the boss fight is challenging enough and yet hilarious. Also some live dialogue are well scripted for example in the first combat with kenny if we pause the game he will go mad and said “WHY TF YOU PAUSED THE GAME ARE YOU AN IDIOT!!” whoch i find it surprised of how does he know we paused the game and such and the adventure reminds me of platforming game like spongebob’s but on crack. Overall best game ever played because it’s on gamepass so you don’t need to paid full price to enjoy it… Expand

    So honestly looking around at all the Easter eggs is amazing. The game is what you're going to get if you're a fan of Justin. Seriously some ppl need to lighten up. If you're a fan it's fun if not then maybe it's not a game for you.

    The humor is very hit or miss and roiland doing the same stammering annoying voice for 12 hours was nearly unbearable. That's not even mentioning the half dozen soft locks and other bugs.     This game has kept me laughing all the way through. Obviously there is some repeated dialogue, but for me it isn’t over the top. There is an included option to lower the frequency of dialogue as well. The game runs perfect and looks gorgeous on my Xbox Series X. My only gripe is the worlds could feel more alive, there are a bit of an empty and alone feeling in some areas.

    high on life is a masterpiece only haters and fake gamers will say otherwise,if you still don't know you can edit gun chatter that way justin roiland and all his pals won't be annoying(for people who find them annoying or dont like joke)and i advise you to get high a lot you have to calm down at some point and stop taking everything at face value life is too short,

    Awesome game ,if u like raunchy comedy like Rick and Morty or married with children , if are from the younger generation and find everything sensitive then it's not for u but if u are older school and like old school lots of bad words ,and many raunchy and insults and drugs etc. Then this is going to make u laugh hard and if u are a stoner expect to piss your pants if u play this stoned

    It’s a good mix of Doom and Ratchet & Clank. Soo many small things to see and hear. The universe definitely feels alive. The only issues I had were minor technical issues, small glitches, frame stutters, etc. main story is about 10hrs Long and no new game plus, but I can definitely see people replaying this. If you like Rick and Morty and FPS’s you’re guaranteed to love it.

    Apart from a few bugs and glitches, High on Life is an amazing experience. The game is fun the humour is on point although so many people might have different opinions on the Rick and Morty jokes that’s constantly been told by characters and some advertisement like in game tv shows.     Infelizmente o jogo é mais uma grande decepção. Gameplay extremamente repetitiva e cansativa. O fato de fazerem alternancia de armas não muda em nada esta dinâmica. Basicamente o que muda é a Skin. Por fim é chato e cansativo ao extremo. Decepção!

The way they take cover, taunt you, and at times even are programmed to attack other A.I that they don't get along with.     Brilliant game, awesome humor and it looks impressively good. Besides to Goat Simulator 3, it’s the funniest game I’ve played this year. Just ignore the low metascore, the person who reviewed it is probably dead inside and doesn’t know what a “joke” or “humor” is. ;-)

    The game has beautiful colours and a really fun and wonky combat. Not to mention it's absolutely hilarious, if you're a fan of Rick and Morty, you'll absolutely love the comedy aspect of this game.

    This is the surprise hit of the year for me. I didn't know what to expect, but it's an absolutely hilarious game that made me very immersed. Fun action, good gameplay, incredible writing and characters, and I am not even really a fan of the creators, but they really knocked it out of the park with this one.

    High on Life is really a kind of unique game, different if you know what i mean, i really enjoyed the humor it has, and hearing Justin Roiland is awesome, really fan of Rick n Morty although this is far from a Rick n Morty game, that im thankful of, but it is the same sense of humor Rick n Morty has.

    Played the game the day it was released, and the game felt really bad, trying to run 60    High on Life is really a kind of unique game, different if you know what i mean, i really enjoyed the humor it has, and hearing Justin Roiland is awesome, really fan of Rick n Morty although this is far from a Rick n Morty game, that im thankful of, but it is the same sense of humor Rick n Morty has.

    Played the game the day it was released, and the game felt really bad, trying to run 60 fps but the game struggled a lot, some minor bugs, but the game updated really fast, and fixed some bugs and thankfully the 60 fps problem.

    Now talking about gameplay, dont expect a really unique gameplay, you got 5 different guns that you collect during the game, and these guns can talk, first gun you get is named Kenny, and Kenny got voiced by Justin Roiland, basically Morty´s voice, almost the same kind of acting as in Morty´s. Serves as a regular pistol, but got a glob shot alternate fire is a large explosive shot, it jumps enemies to the air doing some damage.

    Then we got Knifey, its just a talking knife, kinda funny dialogs he got, but nothing more to add.

    We also got Gus, kind of a frog shotgun, with a shooting metal saw.

    We got Sweezy too, its like a handgun machine gun, idk what type of "animal" or thing it is, but its a girl, not a big dialog also as Gus.

    We got Creature that shoots little characters that attaches to the body of the enemy and start making damage, also got a mind controlling shot, really helpfull for crowd control, kind of a pacifist.

    And at last but not least we got Lezduit, it only got one kind of "shot" that is kind of a electrifying shot, this weapon is used only for the last mission.

    Truthout the game, you can notices that you only go after bosses, and the storyline is kind of short, i completed the game in 12 hours 33 minutes, but some people finished it on 5 hours.

    The bosses are different one from another and got different attacks and different movements, also obviously different story´s, and although the story is not a mind blowing one, it is kind of interesting, all the universe aspect and humor it got into it, kind of work together and make a very good gaming experience, really glad that we get to play this type of game, really liked that it is a First Person Shooter game but different in his own way.    … Expand

    I really enjoy the humor and story. It’s not revolutionary gameplay but it’s exactly what I wanted out of it and I’m glad I took the time to play it. Definitely give it a whirl.

    El juego me ha divertido mucho, aunque gráficamente esta regular, pero está acompañado de buenos diálogos con una historia divertida, es un juego que debes jugar si o si.

    Lo cuestionable es que es un humor negro, toca temas que no a todo el mundo le hacen sentir cómodo y para nada es un juego de niños, aunque en lo personal me ha encantado.

    The game reminds me of the metroid prime days, it's hillarious and definitely feels like I'm playing a Rick and Morty game which I love. Definitely if you like that stuff I suggest you pick it up and play it since it's free on gamepass.

    Beautiful game. Adorable game, nice graphics and. Alovely story. This is a new type of games i've tested with hilarious dialogues and a very welcomed sense of humour. I hoghly recommand trying this game.

    High on Life is a great shooter built on what you'd expect watching Interdimensional cable. The traversal mechanics stuck out to me; the dashing, Knifey grappling, Mag-boots and one of the best jet packs in a game. All worked really well along side the cast of weapons that made replaying well worth it for their dialog during key moments in the story. The best part out of the entire gameHigh on Life is a great shooter built on what you'd expect watching Interdimensional cable.     If you like Justin roiling humor and Rick and Morty cartoons or any humor like that you will enjoy this game The Comedy is hilarious and the gameplay Loop is fun very creative game apparently gaming journalists are too dumb to have a sense of humor LOL great game highly recommend

    O jogo é incrível e só melhora quando vai avançando no jogo . A gameplay dele e os chefes são o diferencial , a trilha sonora também não decepciona e é bem parecida com os Donkey Kong country o que e muito positivo , um excelente jogo pra Xbox recomendo de olhos fechados , pelo que estou lendo nas reviews as pessoas mal passaram da primeira fase e estão opinando com base em nada e por serO jogo é incrível e só melhora quando vai avançando no jogo .     High on Life is an enjoyable yet silly first person shooter that works on most levels. While the humour sometimes misses he target, for the most part it is quite a witty and humouress story with interesting protagonists and antagonists to be found along the way as you explore this immersive alien shooter. Definitely a game for those looking for something unique yet different in the first person shooter genre.

    Humor is sometimes tough to get right. You have to pace it right and you shouldn’t overdo it. Justin Roiland and co. unfortunately throw it at you in mindless spades and hope something sticks. And underneath it all? Just a very average shooter.
