Sep 5, 2024Harry Potter: Quidditch Champions plays the best game of Quidditch we've ever seen in video game form. There's good fun to be had both solo and with other people online, and the customisation aspects are pretty cool too - especially considering there are no paid microtransactions to be found. We have concerns about longevity considering the limited campaign and singular 3v3 multiplayer mode, but the quality of the gameplay should be enough to keep our brooms from getting too dusty in the immediate future.

Sep 10, 2024I was skeptical about Harry Potter: Quidditch Champions as it had some high bars to hit. I think for the most part the fun factor made an appearance, but I don’t know how long the legs are on this game, only time will tell. For the most part I don’t find the replay-ability high after a couple dozen hours but again, time and content updates could drive me back to it from time to time. I think for the price it’s a fun time and Harry Potter fans should feel at home on the pitch here.

Sep 24, 2024Harry Potter: Quidditch Champions is a lot of fun, with a really good amount of thought put into each playing position to ensure they all feel worthwhile. And the small changes to the rules make the game more exhilarating. It’s just missing something to keep things fresh.

Sep 9, 2024Harry Potter: Quidditch Champions is a solid return to the Quidditch pitch and is a must try for fans of the overarching series.

Sep 9, 2024Harry Potter: Quidditch Champions is the best way to experience the Wizarding World's most famous sport in video game form. The gameplay is well thought out, with each role unique and differentiated from the other, and the changes to the Quidditch rules make the matches more competitive and balanced. Unfortunately, the game offers very little content - with the single-player content, in particular, running out within a few hours - and needs a ranked match system to entertain the most competitive players. Harry Potter: Quidditch Champions is recommended to all fans of the most famous wizard in the world who will have something to enjoy; everyone else can safely move on until the promised updates arrive to improve the situation.

Sep 13, 2024Harry Potter: Quidditch Champions offers a refreshed and accessible experience for both fans of the franchise and new players. While it is fun at first, it can become repetitive over time. The customization is good, but the lack of excitement and challenge may cause players to return only occasionally. Despite its shortcomings, fans will enjoy collecting cosmetics and completing the cups, although the game might become Free to Play in the future.

Sep 24, 2024Either way, if you're a fan of Harry Potter's adventures and have always been looking forward to playing a game of Quidditch and showing off your skills, this game won't disappoint you, although it may not blow your mind. It's priced at a more than reasonable $30, and it gives you plenty for that price.

Sep 24, 2024The high presentation standard set by Hogwarts Legacy has been maintained here, with customisable characters flying around on broomsticks at locations familiar from the books. Earn enough currency from in-game activities (no microtransactions here, thankfully) and you can unlock heroes or villains such as Harry, Ron and Draco. In contrast with Legacy, however, Quidditch Champions is very finite, with only a few competitions built in and nothing to do outside of the matches. The core of the game feels like barely controlled pandemonium that is often difficult to read and some positions just aren’t as engaging to play as others.

Sep 5, 2024The lack of content is worrying and desperate at times, and I'm unsure how or even if Unbroken can shake up the formula and introduce something fresh to keep people returning to this game hour-after-hour. It's a fantastic Wizarding World adaptation and a brilliant take on Quidditch, but that's all it is.

Sep 19, 2024There is some fun to be had in Quidditch Champions but that mileage is going to vary by player for sure. Hardcore Potter heads will probably love being able to experience this sport, and chasing all of the unlockables; including skins of Harry, Cho, and many other quidditch players in the books. For anyone else, this is going to feel like a subpar package, that if I am being honest feels like a ripoff for being $30. In a time where we just saw Concord, a major first party game, make the mistake to charge for a game that has a focus on multiplayer which should be free to play; Harry Potter Quidditch Champions just feels like its flying toward the same ending. It already is a bit of a niche game but tying it to multiplayer and therefore player counts just seems like someone was hit by an obliviate spell.

Sep 6, 2024We would have imagined it more as free-to-play, this Quidditch Champions. Rather faithful to the universe in terms of artistic direction, the game at least has the merit of correctly rethinking the rules of the broom sport to make them much fairer on the screen. On the other hand, the positions are cruelly unequal, the matches frankly chaotic and the game runs out of steam after just a few hours. Unbroken Studios still needs to make many adjustments to make its experience a must-have for Quidditch.
-
Sep 6, 2024Although a great initial distraction for Potterheads, the novelty of Harry Potter Quidditch Champions fades to reveal a competent yet insubstantial grind-a-thon. With questionable voice acting, childish animation, and a flimsy campaign to blitz through in three hours flat, even the biggest Wizarding World fans will struggle to stay engaged – unless staring down the barrel of another battle pass appeals to you.

Sep 18, 2024Harry Potter: Quidditch Champions has the merit of offering an entertaining adaptation of the sport with flying broomsticks, but do not expect a magical experience. It is a shame, because the feeling of moving around is pretty enjoyable and even leads to a few moments of wonder, especially in multiplayer. However, after many games, the polynectar potion no longer works! It is clear that the game's content is as thin as a house-elf and that, in the end, every match looks the same because of the lack of any real tactical management. All that is left is to hope for a host of additions to save the title from an unforgivable curse...
