Sep 24, 2024Harry Potter: Quidditch Champions is a lot of fun, with a really good amount of thought put into each playing position to ensure they all feel worthwhile. And the small changes to the rules make the game more exhilarating. It’s just missing something to keep things fresh.

Sep 24, 2024The high presentation standard set by Hogwarts Legacy has been maintained here, with customisable characters flying around on broomsticks at locations familiar from the books. Earn enough currency from in-game activities (no microtransactions here, thankfully) and you can unlock heroes or villains such as Harry, Ron and Draco. In contrast with Legacy, however, Quidditch Champions is very finite, with only a few competitions built in and nothing to do outside of the matches. The core of the game feels like barely controlled pandemonium that is often difficult to read and some positions just aren’t as engaging to play as others.

Sep 24, 2024Either way, if you're a fan of Harry Potter's adventures and have always been looking forward to playing a game of Quidditch and showing off your skills, this game won't disappoint you, although it may not blow your mind. It's priced at a more than reasonable $30, and it gives you plenty for that price.
