    What an absolute disgrace. The EA Play trial of FIFA 23 was promising at first, the gameplay was at a slower pace, overall it was an improvement on the previous game with some nice new features. This was good enough to make me pre-order the game. And then the f****** sh*t show begins…the full game is released on 30th September at midnight, I start up the game, and what do I find? The fullWhat an absolute disgrace. The EA Play trial of FIFA 23 was promising at first, the gameplay was at a slower pace, overall it was an improvement on the previous game with some nice new features. This was good enough to make me pre-order the game. And then the f****** sh*t show begins…the full game is released on 30th September at midnight, I start up the game, and what do I find? The full game is completely different from the trial version, and the gameplay has returned to that ultra fast, pace merchant, ping pong style of football, where it barely feels any different from the previous game except for new the power shot feature. They had a decent game with the trial version and then completely messed it up!!… Expand

    Right where to begin. This game is just as bad as previous years but has been covered up by the new aesthetics to the game. Passing is horrendous and once again you can have a player of 99 pace and get outrun by a defender with less than 70. FUT is once again a complete cash grab with people buying packs to gain a good team with no effort. One nice addition was the moments mode. Pro clubsRight where to begin. This game is just as bad as previous years but has been covered up by the new aesthetics to the game. Passing is horrendous and once again you can have a player of 99 pace and get outrun by a defender with less than 70. FUT is once again a complete cash grab with people buying packs to gain a good team with no effort. One nice addition was the moments mode. Pro clubs is a shambles with no updates at all bar your pro is now integrated with volta and isbonly good for those who also play that mode. Volta also now has items which you spend FIFA points on (another attempt at a cashgrab). I have not played career so cannot comment but after installing it on Friday I have deleted it after 3 days because it's a waste of time and money if you want to play a 'new' fifa… Expand

    Much better that the last part, new cutscenes are insane and bring realistic atmosphere to a game. Game menu also improved and became much better looking. Graphics didnt change much, but gameplay became better looking!

    The last game before FIFA finds a new developer is very solid. FIFA 23 is a very good game and a nice setup for the next beginning in which FIFA must choose the right developer for a good start.

    This review concerns singleplayer career only. Its a copy/paste from former fifa games and none of the issues were adressed. The game pace is still too high and feels like a pinball machine, however player (controller) responses are laggy. There are way too many unwanted actions happening. AI is horrible as usual.     We are all got used to have almost the same game every year. So I wasn’t expecting something new. Burshed FIFA22 was my expectation. Game is 95% perfect in detail. Graphics are amazing, atmosphere is amazing, new ball control system is lovely. Can count a lot of positives here. But the problem is the other 5%. Which is “how realistic is the game flow”. Which is a NULL with capitals. VeryWe are all got used to have almost the same game every year. So I wasn’t expecting something new. Burshed FIFA22 was my expectation. Game is 95% perfect in detail. The gameplay feels scripted, "pre-defined", but playable. eFootball feels much better (also is free to play. Fifa 23 costs 60 euros/dollars). Even the graphics are almost the same. There's nothing relevant to justify Fifa 23 being a "New Title" = 60 bucks. Bizarre commercial practice. Every Year. They should make free updates, or at least low-charged, because fifa 23, 22, 21, 20, etc are updates over updates, not brand new stuff, maybe you can do better things with this money.     Ufss que esta versión tiene unos lag y caídas de FPS muy extraños; hasta se me ha pausado el juego levemente.
    HYPERMOTION2 esta nueva tecnología NO la veo que funciona o se aproveche bie ; como en PC y PS5 que se ve esa fluidez es las animaciones y el el juego.

    If you have not played FIFA before, then this can be the Game Awards winner for you, but me, and experienced football player, need to say this FIFA edition is pretty much the same deal every year. And to be fair, Hypermotion 2 is what actually saves this game. It becomes so much easier for starters to become a pro at FIFA with the new trainer implementations. 5/10 not bad.

    Basically nothing that actually resembles a decent game of football. Avoid like the plague. Haven’t played the PS version yet, but I’m guessing it’s just as **** I’m sure they’ll patch the living hell out of it over the year and sometimes get it playing to a decent level, just to ruin it again a week later when the teenagers complain they can’t do 20 skill moves in a row with Neymar. Scripting or rubberbanding (whatever you want to call it) is still obviously present. Even though EA say it isn’t. Sometimes the game loves you, sometimes it can’t stand the sight of you. I’m sure
    I can’t get that bad (or good) overnight right?! EA decides who wins, not the people actually playing. (Usually PSG.. wonder how much they paid for that to be in the code?!).

    Same old really. Licencing is what saves this game from being lower. The AI at Legendary somehow makes every opponent play like they're all street footballers, always doing the absurd which defies actual simulation gameplay. The game itself is supposed to be a simulations of football. Once again it's far from it.

But the pro clubs is worse than ever, far to slow and its underdeveloped tbh, the passes never go where you want them to, the defending is just non existent, especially the bots they seem slower than ever before. Over all im glad I can rate this zero tbh, worse instalment the franchise has ever produced n designed.     That's FIFA. That's all FIFA is. Ultimate Team, with the pretence of having other game modes, designed to trick the stupid out of their money on an annual basis.

    This review is July 2023 as, obviously, I wouldn't pay a penny for this piece of crap and I downloaded on Game Pass for 'free' out of curiosity. Looks amazing, but an hour in you see it's as shallow as a puddle and just non-stop, constantly pushes you to FUT.

    2) tactics are pointless - position your players where you want them on the pitch and watch in amazement as they wander out of position leaving huge gaps or jog around aimlessly
    3) stats that mean nothing - watch your six foot six defender (with 90s heading ability) lose a header, inevitably from a corner, to the oppositions hobbit sized striker or watch your striker with lightening sprint speed be out paced by the other teams 38 year old injured centre half!
    4) horrific response time to button presses - press pass before the ball reaches your man to move it on quickly first time and observe in bemusement as your player takes 3 touches and then gets tackled or how about tapping the shoot button for a first time tap in front of an open goal only for the striker to decide he needs to control the ball, turn 90 degrees and smash it wide.

    I could go on but i won't. EA wake up please and give football fans a game they deserve or just walk away and let another studio have a go.    … Expand

    Overall, a real improvement for the franchise. I don't play online modes, because they are complete garbage. But for those who play career mode, this is an excellent opus. Not perfect in every respect, but clearly my favorite soccer game so far. It deserves a way better average score than its current 2.6.

    Nothing more than I expected. Artificial Intelligence is nowhere to be found. Career mode is still bad. Sick of ridiculous positioning decisions by the manager on the player career. FUT bullies are not punished as passing around the ball is accepted as normal. P2W as hell. Only reason I'm playing is my love for football. Note: MAKE CAREER MODE PLAYABLE. STOP PUTTING ALL EFFORTS TO THIS FUT THING.

    Es un copia y pega del FIFA de hace 5 años y me parece terrible escuchar a todos estar locos con él ya que solo tiene micropagos de Electronic Arts y la jugabilidad de un juego de fútbol de 2009.

Rubén días le gana una carrera en velocidad a Vinicius, Van Dyk corre lo mismo que Mbappe, los porteros son imbatibles da igual si llevas a un portero manco que a Iker Casillas prime, el portero te impedirá marcar gol.     Football is the world’s most popular game across borders, cultures, politics, and creeds because it offers fans the same exhilaration throughout the world. FIFA 23, when stripped of bland stories, greedy microtransactions, and mind-numbing team management, is a pure, exciting videogame. It’s the excess that ultimately mires it down.

    In short, FIFA 23 makes a lot of great additions to the core gameplay, making the actual football feel smoother, more realistic and tactically more diverse, with the new AcceleRATE system in particular ensuring that fast players no longer dominate the online sphere. Tons of behind the scenes changes like a new physics system, a revamped AI, and the long-awaited cross-play make this year’s installment of EA Sports’ eternal franchise the most fresh experience it’s been in years. On the flipside, aside from adding women teams and tweaking a few game modes, content-wise the game has very little new to offer compared to FIFA 22, to a point that casual players may barely even notice most of this year’s changes. A transition game of sorts before next year’s name change, making a lot of important changes under the game’s hood, without really reinventing or adding any standout feature. Whether these changes are essential enough for a buy or not largely depend on the way you play FIFA.

    EA took great care and brought a farewell worthy of the last FIFA. FIFA 23 brings a lot of interesting new features, cameos - like the members of Ted Lasso -, gameplay improvements that really add to the game, not to mention it's actually much better looking than the previous games. The really first FIFA of the new generation of consoles will also be the last, and while it brings some of the frustrations already known to fans, it will be a good gateway to the next generation of EA football games.
