Jun 20, 2023Like Red Bull Racing winning every single Grand Prix, Codies brings home yet another cracking Formula One racing sim in F1 23, bringing back the excellent Braking Point story mode alongside all of that other good stuff. Break out the champagne – this one's a winner.
-
Jul 13, 2023F1 23 is a step up from what was created in F1 22, and thanks to the inclusion of a second instalment of Braking Point, it's right up there with F1 2021. In some aspects it surpasses that too.
-
Jun 25, 2023F1 23 further improves a franchise that had already shown it had winning cards in its hand. The perfect calibratability between the rigorous simulation and a more permissive driving model allows everyone to make the most of it, and Braking Point 2 and the F1 World are two very worthwhile goodies. The driving model, the excellent graphics, the range of options, and a very well executed multiplayer make the EA title a must-have for all motorsport fans.
-
Jun 23, 2023F1 23 follows the ascending line that Codemasters has had in recent years. The specific changes have resulted in the best Formula 1 game so far and it is definitely a complete experience for all fans of the greatest motorsport series.
-
Jun 20, 2023Another fastest lap under for Codemasters, the predictability of the cars makes it a lot easier to handle than previous years—especially for those using a controller. Wheel users might not benefit so much from the changes, but the cars still feel more planted.
-
Jun 16, 2023With the new handling model, Braking Point 2 and F1 World, F1 2023 has the fresh coat of paint the series has needed for some time. For the first time in a while, I can see myself dusting my wheel off and racing rather than settling for just commentating.
-
Jul 7, 2023F1 23 offers the best driving within the franchise. This is the kind of evolution we expected after the introduction of the new F1 rules back in 2022.
-
Jun 13, 2023Ultimately, F1 23 remains a great racing game, more accessible than ever for newcomers, more authentic than ever, more customizeable, and most notably featuring the comeback of the excellent Braking Point story mode. It is by all means an iterative upgrade with not many standout features, but the unified F1 World experience and various smart changes make F1 23 a worthy addition to F1 fans’ libraries.
-
Jun 13, 2023The foundations that F1 23 lays are unbeatable. The gameplay brings us the best driving experience we can have with an F1 game. F1 World ends up being an addition that completely changes the perception that we can have of the game and that will hook everyone, achieving what they failed to do last year with F1 Life. However, the final result is marred by its technical issues.
-
Jul 18, 2023The new benchmark for the Codemasters saga? F1 23 via the breath of EA Sports releases the best vintage in terms of content for the license, especially thanks to the addition of the F1 World mode. Even if you are not really well guided towards the latter, it will fill many hours of your time with its many well-renewed challenges and quests. A lack now filled for the Formula 1 saga, which is still going around in circles in the animations and its technical rendering. The 2023 opus is a great gateway to the world of single-seaters, with the bonus of the continuation of Point de Rupture, the rather interesting Drive to Survive scenario.
-
Jul 11, 2023F1 2023 does not reinvent the wheel, that is true, but the additions it has made added to the corrections implemented in the control make the title worthwhile for any fan of the highest category of motorsport.
-
Jun 18, 2023F1 23 is a far heartier package than F1 22, with 26 tracks, the enjoyable next chapter of the Braking Point story mode that began in F1 2021, and – for players who love to recline back into the couch and race – the best gamepad handling in the series, ever. The racing-focused secondary career mode F1 World is also likely to be a step in the right direction after last year’s F1 Life for some, although it's equally probable its arcade-inspired, loot-based upgrade system will be divisive amongst traditionalists.
-
Jun 15, 2023There is no doubt that F1 23 is an absolutely brilliant game. It sounds fantastic, looks spectacular and has rarely offered such an entertaining, accessible experience. Regardless of whether you're an already devoted fan or a curious newbie. F1 has rarely been better.
-
Jun 15, 2023F1 23 builds on its solid foundation and significantly improves both the controls and feedback of the cars, while the returning story-mode Braking Point continues to have its weak points.
-
Jun 14, 2023EA SPORTS F1 23 continues the series’ legacy of being the definitive F1 racing experience for gamers. With the updates made to braking, accelerating, and cornering, as well as Precision Drive technology for controller players, the game plays smoother than ever and can easily be enjoyed by players of all skill and interest levels. Braking Point also makes a return with another drama-filled story.
-
Jun 14, 2023There is plenty of novelty here to attract seasoned F1 game pros and newcomers, who may start off with F1 World. It’s technically magnificent: it looks and feels incredible, and its off-track production values are sky-high. Sure, the continued presence of loot boxes – seemingly de rigueur in any EA Sports game these days – cheapens it slightly, but at least it doesn’t force them upon you too brashly.
-
Jun 13, 2023F1 23 is an excellent representation of the highest European racing class. The races offer excitement and sensation, strategy pays off more than ever and Verstappen wins – as good as always. The theatrical storytelling in Braking Point focuses on pressing issues in elite sports and provides a great introduction to the otherwise excellent gameplay. The new F1 World lays the foundation for a live service. This provides hours of entertainment, but is also obviously designed to keep you in the F1 ecosystem for as long as possible. That incentive is superfluous: F1 23 is rock solid even without this kind of fuss.

Jun 13, 2023The British studio Codemasters publishing a Formula 1 game every year is something we are used to. As such, the anticipation was high, and it would be a euphemism to say we were not knocked off our feet. The sequel to the Story mode, Breaking Point, keeps us on the edge of our seats right to the end. The new, highly ambitious F1 World mode allows you to spend countless hours fine-tuning your car, with the intention of competing against other drivers. But none of this would be possible without the improvements made to the handling of our F1 car. To our delight, this title is undoubtedly the pinnacle of what Codemasters can offer us. Whether you appreciate the world of Formula 1 or not, it is a must-have game in your library!
