    Disco Elysium - The Final Cut is one of those games which only comes along every now and then. It’s a true piece of art, with fantastic writing, brilliant voice acting and highly unusual and unique gameplay elements. There is a lot of game to be had here in terms of pathways and ways of playing through it all, but it certainly deserves the multiple playthroughs it allows.

    Disco Elysium is a unicorn in the current gaming landscape - the unquestionable quality of ZA/UM's proposal from a narrative and creative point of view makes it a game that would be a crime to miss. At the same time, due to gameplay choices and themes covered it' s also a game bound to be unpalatable to many, but those who'll let themselves to get kidnapped by the world of Elysium, will be rewarded with an absolutely memorable experience.

    The game is marketed and discussed as an evolution of the CRPG, but I think fans of story-heavy adventure games and the old point-and-click classics would also feel right at home in Disco Elysium: Final Cut.

    This game is extremely well written and very unique in the roleplaying space. Lots of comparisons have rightly been made between this andThis game is extremely well written and very unique in the roleplaying space. Lots of comparisons have rightly been made between this and Planescape: Torment. But even more than that game this game really feels inspired by social TTRPGs in a way I've never seen adapted into video game form. I really hope we see more roleplaying games like this that take a step away from the DND conventions and pushes the genre into more experimentation. If you are a fan of roleplaying games at all you MUST play this. This is the first of it's kind adapted into a videogame. Even the Torment games simply do not stretch RPG conventions anywhere close to the same extent… Full Review »

    I ended up getting very attached to its characters, the areas I visited and pulled into a lot of the sidequests as well as the main investigation. It took some time to get hooked and i'm sure a good few people will bounce off this one at first but my advice is to stick with it. This game absolutely deserves all of the hype!    … Full Review »
