    Really something unique and special. It's a dialogue heavy game with a good bit of reading and investigation. It's not for everyone but once it hooks you it's excellent.

    I ended up getting very attached to its characters, the areas I visited and pulled into a lot of the sidequests as well as the main investigation.     A game that is weird & unexpected in all the right ways. Which is why I really liked it!
    Another thing I liked is that you often cannot really predict where the game will lead you next. And that there seem to be multiple ways, possibly quite outrageous ones, to reach your goals (perhaps including how it ends - I only played it once, so I cannot tell).
    If I had to give any critiques, it    A game that is weird & unexpected in all the right ways. Which is why I really liked it!

    If I had to give any critiques, it would be that the interface isn't always that clear or easy to graps. Not all things & concepts are explained equally well, and selecting things in the environment can be a bit cumbersome.
    And if you like your storyline(s) straightforward, and/or you do not like to read a lot of dialogue (all of which is voice-acted very well), this may not be the game for you...    … Expand

    The best RPG game ever. Final Cut is absolute amazing. This is more an interactive and fascinating book with amazing voice actors, art style and music, than a classical game. Love it!

    One of the best games I have played in quite a while. It's fantastic story, characters, stunning soundtrack makes this game truly unique. Your choices really matter.

    This game is extremely well written and very unique in the roleplaying space. Lots of comparisons have rightly been made between this and Planescape: Torment. But even more than that game this game really feels inspired by social TTRPGs in a way I've never seen adapted into video game form. I really hope we see more roleplaying games like this that take a step away from the DND conventionsThis game is extremely well written and very unique in the roleplaying space.     Disco Elysium is a unicorn in the current gaming landscape - the unquestionable quality of ZA/UM's proposal from a narrative and creative point of view makes it a game that would be a crime to miss. At the same time, due to gameplay choices and themes covered it' s also a game bound to be unpalatable to many, but those who'll let themselves to get kidnapped by the world of Elysium, will be rewarded with an absolutely memorable experience.

    The game is marketed and discussed as an evolution of the CRPG, but I think fans of story-heavy adventure games and the old point-and-click classics would also feel right at home in Disco Elysium: Final Cut.
