    Sooooo many reused assets.. the entire game feels like your running through the same three rooms. The origional might be older looking but at least there was a sense of environment change as you explore, changing the lighing, colour sceme and tetures made every part of the Ishimura unique...This new game uses the same wall textures , same generic clutter and furniture, same genericSooooo many reused assets.. the entire game feels like your running through the same three rooms. At first the game looks great , but unless your a low iq , goldfish brain the repetition in environments is going to be an issue..
    The origional had personality. Every section was fleshed out with a mix of baked and dynamic lighting, there was specific themes and colour pallets to every part of the ship...That is all gone and the new game feels like a 10 hr demo ..That is not even to mention the new crappy puzzles they added that stretches the dull areas out further or the uglification of your wife who now look like a 60 year old dude that looses their crap if you don't call them ma'am.. Please don't touch dead space 2..That's the DS that is the true Masterpiece and needs to be left alone.    … Expand

    Missed this one on Xbox 360 so I figured I'd see what all the fuss was about. It is a dark, engaging story with a beautiful (yet horrifying) setting. If you enjoy survivor horror games and haven't played this...you will enjoy it. Not the longest game, but has enough substance. Combat involves dismantling the monsters limb by limb to defeat them. Simple puzzles offer breaks from the combat.Missed this one on Xbox 360 so I figured I'd see what all the fuss was about. It is a dark, engaging story with a beautiful (yet horrifying) setting. If you enjoy survivor horror games and haven't played this...you will enjoy it. Not the longest game, but has enough substance. Combat involves dismantling the monsters limb by limb to defeat them. This product sets itself apart from the various remakes in today's market by offering new mechanics and paths compared to the original. The game has been 100% completed on Xbox Series X.

    THE NIGHTMARE BEGINS, AGAIN:
    Dead Space Remake begins with an introductory scene to the game's story, showcasing the various members of the expedition, including the legendary engineer Isaac Clarke, the protagonist of the entire trilogy. Unlike the original, he now has an uncovered face and sets the stage for the continuous feast of visual and auditory delights that this remake offers to players of all categories. In fact, this cutscene fully showcases the graphical muscle it brings, with extreme attention to detail and visual effects, coupled with technically impressive audio. After this sequence, the player finds themselves guiding the engineer through the doors of the USG Ishimura, a massive galactic spacecraft dedicated to mining giant stars.

    LOST IN SPACE-SHIP:
    By now, the gaming industry has accustomed us to seeing great remakes adding a couple, or even no new mechanics compared to the originals. Fortunately, Dead Space doesn't disappoint in this regard either. Several sections have been updated and modified to provide a different experience even for those who have played the original. One significant mechanic that has significantly changed the approach to certain areas is the energy convoy system. This allows the player to redirect energy to specific structures such as elevators or doors at the expense of life support systems or, even worse, lights. This obviously adds more variety compared to Dead Space's typical linearity and gives the player more decision-making power. Finally, the last two major changes are the addition of more interactive objects on the map for defensive use, such as carts or pipes that can be used as spears, and the ability to explore a fully interconnected Ishimura, blocked only by security doors accessible during the story.

    THE VISIONS IMPROVED THE GRAPHIC:
    It's challenging not to fall into banality when talking about a remake that has improved every single aspect of the game. The lighting has been extensively enhanced and structured to evoke different sensations such as anxiety and anguish, or tranquility and solitude. The colors, faithful in every situation, perfectly convey the feeling of being immersed in deep space. The attention to detail, whether it's the decorative posters, billboards, wall writings, or various objects found throughout the game, builds a silent narrative necessary for such a dark title. Of course, there are some minor flaws, such as the animations, which are still below par compared to the rest, and some final cutscenes that feel hastily thought out and concluded.

    SOMETHING IS COMING:
    The audio department, even more than the graphics, showcases a remarkable technical level. For this title, a new 3D audio technology was used, which utilizes extremely realistic sound waves that bounce off surfaces just like in the real world. It's worth noting that you need headphones with 3D audio to fully exploit this feature, but the regular audio, which is meticulously crafted, is still impressive in its own right. Focusing on the 3D audio, it's one of the best, if not the best, on the market, and it's especially utilized to its full potential in a game like this. By using this feature, you can hear enemies climbing walls or rooftops, allowing you to predict their direction. You can hear entities approaching from walls several meters away. Not only does this make the experience smoother, but it also makes it extremely more horrifying and scary due to the unpredictability of certain sounds.

    WHY A 10? (9.5)

    PROS:
    Dead Space Remake, a reproduction of an already established masterpiece, improves upon 95% of the original, offering a multitude of new mechanics and approaches, a backtracking system, and terrifying audio and visual aspects. These aspects make it feel like a new game even for those like me who have completed the first Dead Space multiple times. Additionally, it provides access to the Impossible difficulty right from the first playthrough, a brilliant choice that allows veterans to enjoy a completely balanced challenge from the start.

    CONS:
    The negative aspects of this masterpiece are limited to the simple question, "Was it necessary?" This is because the original Dead Space from 2008 didn't need a remake. I believe that every fan of the saga would have appreciated a sequel or spin-off of the trilogy much more than this reproduction.

    As someone who never played the original Dead Space, I was really interested when the remake was announced to finally play this cult classic. After hearing much praise from the critics and users alike upon release, I grew even more excited to go on Issac's journey. To my delight this was a game I absolutely loved. The story was really interesting to unravel with a small but dynamic cast of characters that were equally appealing, with Issac himself being a fantastic protagonist. I'm really glad my first experience was with the remake since they focused on enhancing not only the gameplay elements but also making Issac more of a dynamic protagonist (even bringing back his original voice actor) and made the story more present from the beginning. There were times the game was a bit difficult but it never felt unfair, and it was always fun to play with weapons that felt good to use and a steady progression system that always made me feel like I was getting stronger. The constantly changing mission objectives always helped keep the experience fresh as well, from flying through space and blowing up astroids to exploring a toxic greenhouse and running away from an un-killable monster, there was always something new and exciting that made me want to come back. With a strong start, an engaging adventure, and a highly satisfying conclusion, Dead Space is nearly a perfect game and a must play for anyone who can handle something a little intense.… Expand

A jogabilidade é fluida e não é enjoativa. Os puzzles estão na medida certa de dificuldade. Além disso, o game também é acessível para jogadores casuais.     Ich Finde dead space remake sehr stark aber hat meine Meinung nach die gleichen Schwächen wie der vor gänger und zwar das zu hoche Action gehalt die story ist zwar okey aber die horror Elemente sind schwach dafür ist der Atmosphäre und der Sound sehr gut gelungen die Charakter sind ganz gut geschriebenen aber das meiste ist zu vorhersehbar aber sonst ein ganz gutes gesamt Packet

    Just finished the Dead Space remake. It was excellent. Looked great and nice sci fi survival horror gameplay. Took me around 18 hours to finish. I finished the original back when it came out, around 2011.

    Es un juegazo, pero se le ha aumentado la duración de forma artificial, añadiendo Lore que no se conoció hasta después del 2 y del 3 y no tiene sentido a no ser que saquen un Dead space 4. Por otro lado lo de interconectar la nave y poder retroceder, está bien, pero lo que no lo está es que te fuercen a volver porque ahora han añadido lo de de los pases de seguridad para poder acceder aEs un juegazo, pero se le ha aumentado la duración de forma artificial, añadiendo Lore que no se conoció hasta después del 2 y del 3 y no tiene sentido a no ser que saquen un Dead space 4.     This game is fantastic In about every way. It doesn't freak you out to the point of wanting to stop playing it but it gets pretty close to that some times. Honestly, I just started playing it all these years later thinking that the graphics would probably be pretty horrible compared to today's games, but I was really surprised with how excellent they are for a 2008 game. They really took there time on this game to get it right. The atomspherics are great, the gameplay is great, the mechanics are great for there time for sure. The enemies are fantastic and weapons and various skills you use to kill them are really fun to work with because there is multiple options for any given situation. I really haven't found anything to complain about yet. I'm really stoked that I haven't played deadspace 1, 2 or 3. I have the Xbox game pass and will play all 3 before the new dead space remake comes out next month at this time. Really excited to see what they have done with the remake. If you are thinking about this game and not sure, trust me get it, you will love it.… Expand

    Sci-fi, horror, action what's not to like. Who would have thought being stranded on a spaceship with insect hosting dead bodies would be so fun?

    I was expecting to be blown away by the visuals but it's honestly looks like a xbox 360 game. Very lucky I only rented and didn't waste on this lazy remake.

    Amazing visuals, classic sci-fi story, lots of variety, punishing enemies that you’ll try your best to avoid. A near perfectly executed horror game. My only gripe is the inventory management which is very tedious, and definitely a relic of 00’s games like Oblivion and Fallout 3. Engrossing game, I couldn’t put it down for 3 days.

    I used to have this game on Xbox until Xbox banned my whole gamertag 15+ year old account with over $10k in digital games, movies, tv series, dlc all for something I posted in a GAME REVIEW yet they cant quote me as to what exactly I said and respond to my BBB complaint with "we have no obligation to provide evidence" when I violate their fragile "TOS". The multi-billion dollar business has no obligation to provide valid evidence for something so permanent as a PERMAMENT SUSPENSION FROM ACCESSING ANY OF YOUR PAID FOR CONTENT ON THEIR SYSTEM?!?! The thing is...you CANT leave any real hateful comments and cuss words in reviews or XBOX doesn't even even save them, just blanks it out like you didn't type anything at all. Also I would've never said anything that warrants this kind of permament suspension, at worst I was talking crap on EAs Sims 4 predatory gaming practices of cutting a main game up and selling it to you in 20-$40 "game & expansion packs". So the suspension is complete BS, groups of circle jerks can get together and report something you typed as offensive and it auto-bans you and some lame gamer on a power-trip volunteering for their "ambassador" program (more circle jerks with fragile egos) reviews the ban and appeal. Boycott Xbox, they don't deserve your money with their "woke" parenting of even the lamest of things like GAME REVIEWS.     The Dead Space Remake improves upon almost everything that made the original a masterpiece. Visuals and audio are fantastic and the game feels a lot smoother to control than the first game. This is the definitive way to experience Dead Space. My only complaints are some of the voice acting and some minor bugs and glitches.

    Honestly... One of the best games I have ever played (Ive never played Dead Space before). The only downside is that there is some stutter in the game.

    I put like 40 hours in the game and I'm itching for more. Im planing to get all the achievements in the game.

    This is a remake done right.. the immersion, detailed graphics and special effects really sets the mood for a scary experience. Played through the story 3 times and never got bored. Must buy horror game.

    The Series X version has some bugs and performance hiccups that are not present in the PS5 version. The PS5 version also looks a bit better. Not sure why this is the case, and maybe the Series X version will be made better with patches, but as it stands, the PS5 version of this game looks and performs a bit better.

    One of the best survival horrors of all time. Excellent remake, very faithful of the original, graphics are good gameplay and exploration very well made. Overall 10/10 but i did experience some annoying crashes in the last chapters.

    What can I say? I did not want this to end. I could not get enough. I wanted it to keep going. This remake was amazing. It held true and impressed all the way through. A must play.

    Dead Space is a beautiful example of what a remake of a game should be. Something classic, something new, but most importantly, a modern doorway into a classic that will be enjoyed by both veterans and new swathes of potential fans. [Issue#325]

    Dead Space is a remake done right. It builds on what the original game did well, delivering in terms of tension and environment, adding new layers as it goes. Should you be a fan of what the franchise did in the past, or are just looking to have your spine tingled, I would suggest you give Dead Space a go. And use headphones, yeah?

    Remakes are a much harder thing to pull off than remasters. The original game exists and changing things can be a scary proposition to fans. Motive Studio has done an outstanding job of tweaking what worked and fixing what didn’t. This remake is on the same level as Capcom’s efforts with Resident Evil and will be considered one of the best going forward. This is a gold standard and I truly hope we get to see them continue this work with a new game in the series, or even a remake of the second game. I love this world and hope it is truly back and here to stay.
