    Costs way too much. Really, $70? Gaming is really becoming an extremely expensive hobby.

    Expected more from this remake. It's not as scary as when I played 2008 DS. It looks like they lowered scary atmosphere and heavily reduced gore. This, a Horror Game, contains an Optional "innovative" Trigger Warning system that will warn the player about the Scary bits and blur them out.. in Dead Space! Ridiculous.. there's plenty of characters, scenes and dialogues have been changed in this game for no reason when all they had to do is just upgrade the graphic. Voice acting really feels awful and actors seem bored out of their mind while speaking. There's no emotion in their voice at all. Also they added a lot of cutscenes in this remake that was not in original. At times it feels like they made it more like a movie for some reason. Immersion is low, npc move like robots. It really does feel like a cash grab. Where they put low effort in this remake so they can cash it of a good will of origin game. It's ridiculous that they charge 70$ for a 15 years old gameplay and story. Heavily disappointed in this remake.… Expand

    1080p resolution is a sad joke. Very weak textures. Price too high for such poor quality.

    piggy attitude on the part of EA. do not add at least Russian subtitles to the game , the original of which even has voice acting ! what is the problem? players are ready to buy your games , why do this with a Russian - speaking audience ?

    Sooooo many reused assets.. the entire game feels like your running through the same three rooms. The origional might be older looking but at least there was a sense of environment change as you explore, changing the lighing, colour sceme and tetures made every part of the Ishimura unique...This new game uses the same wall textures , same generic clutter and furniture, same genericSooooo many reused assets.. the entire game feels like your running through the same three rooms. At first the game looks great , but unless your a low iq , goldfish brain the repetition in environments is going to be an issue..
    The origional had personality. Every section was fleshed out with a mix of baked and dynamic lighting, there was specific themes and colour pallets to every part of the ship...That is all gone and the new game feels like a 10 hr demo ..That is not even to mention the new crappy puzzles they added that stretches the dull areas out further or the uglification of your wife who now look like a 60 year old dude that looses their crap if you don't call them ma'am.. Please don't touch dead space 2..That's the DS that is the true Masterpiece and needs to be left alone.    … Expand

    I used to have this game on Xbox until Xbox banned my whole gamertag 15+ year old account with over $10k in digital games, movies, tv series, dlc all for something I posted in a GAME REVIEW yet they cant quote me as to what exactly I said and respond to my BBB complaint with "we have no obligation to provide evidence" when I violate their fragile "TOS". The multi-billion dollar businessI used to have this game on Xbox until Xbox banned my whole gamertag 15+ year old account with over $10k in digital games, movies, tv series, dlc all for something I posted in a GAME REVIEW yet they cant quote me as to what exactly I said and respond to my BBB complaint with "we have no obligation to provide evidence" when I violate their fragile "TOS". The multi-billion dollar business has no obligation to provide valid evidence for something so permanent as a PERMAMENT SUSPENSION FROM ACCESSING ANY OF YOUR PAID FOR CONTENT ON THEIR SYSTEM?!?! The thing is...you CANT leave any real hateful comments and cuss words in reviews or XBOX doesn't even even save them, just blanks it out like you didn't type anything at all. Also I would've never said anything that warrants this kind of permament suspension, at worst I was talking crap on EAs Sims 4 predatory gaming practices of cutting a main game up and selling it to you in 20-$40 "game & expansion packs". So the suspension is complete BS, groups of circle jerks can get together and report something you typed as offensive and it auto-bans you and some lame gamer on a power-trip volunteering for their "ambassador" program (more circle jerks with fragile egos) reviews the ban and appeal. Boycott Xbox, they don't deserve your money with their "woke" parenting of even the lamest of things like GAME REVIEWS. I literally cant even sign into my account to access offline content, its ALL GONE thanks to an Abusive system MS lets auto-handle, the first miss steps of "AI". Buyers BEWARE.… Expand

    I was expecting to be blown away by the visuals but it's honestly looks like a xbox 360 game. Very lucky I only rented and didn't waste on this lazy remake.

    Dead Space is a beautiful example of what a remake of a game should be. Something classic, something new, but most importantly, a modern doorway into a classic that will be enjoyed by both veterans and new swathes of potential fans. [Issue#325]

    Dead Space is a remake done right. It builds on what the original game did well, delivering in terms of tension and environment, adding new layers as it goes. Should you be a fan of what the franchise did in the past, or are just looking to have your spine tingled, I would suggest you give Dead Space a go. And use headphones, yeah?

    Remakes are a much harder thing to pull off than remasters. The original game exists and changing things can be a scary proposition to fans. Motive Studio has done an outstanding job of tweaking what worked and fixing what didn’t. This remake is on the same level as Capcom’s efforts with Resident Evil and will be considered one of the best going forward. This is a gold standard and I truly hope we get to see them continue this work with a new game in the series, or even a remake of the second game. I love this world and hope it is truly back and here to stay.
