Aug 25, 2024The world design is fabulous and the creatures are lovely. The story is moving and topical and the characters have a lot of heart. Despite all of this Creatures of Ava becomes very repetitive very quickly. Puzzles and platforming aren’t especially exciting and the taming of the creatures can become frustrating due to an unwieldy camera. Very soon rescuing the cute and well made critters becomes a chore because it feels like you are just doing everything to check off a list of things you must do to progress further and unlock more areas.

Aug 20, 2024Creature of Ava has a relaxed and unpretentious gameplay for those who like the adventure genre. At the beginning it is entertaining then it becomes repetitive due to the mission system. Visually speaking, it is a beautiful game, but it needs more polish.

Aug 29, 2024Creatures of Ava offers a familiar 'collect and save' experience with charming visuals, but lacks the depth and innovation to truly stand out. While it’s enjoyable for a while, it doesn’t quite capture the magic needed to keep players fully engaged.

Aug 19, 2024Creatures of Ava from Inverge Studios is such a solid videogame, but without neglecting the charisma. Visual charisma, with a very solvent and inspired technical and artistic section, as well as gameplay mechanics that, without being brilliant, are consistent with the story and keep us entertained. It has some improvable details, such as inventory management or level design in certain phases, but if we add it all up, we have a game to recommend. [Recommended]

Aug 15, 2024Creatures of Ava was an extremely promising project, which seemed to have been born under the best of auspices, but was brought down mid-air by its technical execution. We sincerely regret not being able to appreciate it to the full, despite its beautiful and sensitive universe. Considering the game was cleverly integrated into the Game Pass, we strongly recommend those with a subscription to give it a try, if only to see for themselves. On the other hand, steer clear of any purchase option, which would be more akin to early access than a full version. A terrible disappointment for a title that has so much to offer.
