Aug 5, 2024Creatures of Ava is an excellent title, and it’s on Game Pass at launch. If you want a game that lets you explore a gorgeous alien planet, get your inner photographer on, and know when to mix in its version of combat then I think it is well worth a download.

Oct 7, 2024Creatures of Ava is a touching and colourful adventure title. Its charming nature and fantasy story captured my attention. However, it does not excel as an adventure title. Yet, this matters not as the environments are lush and the creatures are crazy.

Aug 9, 2024For players who are looking for a game that is simple to pick up and play, with easy combat then we would certainly recommend Creatures of Ava. However, if you prefer your action adventure games to be heavier on the action with a larger area to explore then you may want to look for another planet to play on.

Aug 7, 2024Creatures of Ava is a heartwarming love letter to the action-adventure games of old. A captivating tale of empathy and reflection, its story will leave you pondering its teaching moments long after the credits roll. This title is pure charm, hampered only by a number of shallow features that feel like they don't belong.

Aug 6, 2024Creatures of Ava is a fantastic game and I really like the pacifist approach to game play. It was a refreshing change to be collecting creatures in order to save them instead of trying to be the very best there ever was. The narrative in Creatures of Ava is also a strong highpoint which comes as no surprise since the story was co-written by Rhianna Pratchett; who has written stories like Heavenly Sword and Rise of Tomb Raider. With a gorgeous world, fun and addictive gameplay and a great story, Creatures of Ava is a really fun experience and one that offers something very different from the other creature collectors on the market.

Aug 19, 2024Creatures of Ava is a colourful and fun adventure game that offers a refreshing take on combat. Conservationism never felt so fun.
-
Aug 12, 2024Creatures of Ava offers a visually and conceptually ambitious alien adventure, shining for its non-violent approach and fascinating world. Despite some imperfections, the game manages to create a quite original experience for lovers of exploratory and ecologically conscious adventures.
-
Aug 5, 2024Creatures of Ava, even with lots of rough edges, deliver an impactful message. How can we help those who we don’t understand? If you’re looking for a game with a new take on the conservation topic, there is no better game to represent it than Creatures of Ava.

Aug 25, 2024The world design is fabulous and the creatures are lovely. The story is moving and topical and the characters have a lot of heart. Despite all of this Creatures of Ava becomes very repetitive very quickly. Puzzles and platforming aren’t especially exciting and the taming of the creatures can become frustrating due to an unwieldy camera. Very soon rescuing the cute and well made critters becomes a chore because it feels like you are just doing everything to check off a list of things you must do to progress further and unlock more areas.
-
Aug 20, 2024Creature of Ava has a relaxed and unpretentious gameplay for those who like the adventure genre. At the beginning it is entertaining then it becomes repetitive due to the mission system. Visually speaking, it is a beautiful game, but it needs more polish.
-
Aug 29, 2024Creatures of Ava offers a familiar 'collect and save' experience with charming visuals, but lacks the depth and innovation to truly stand out. While it’s enjoyable for a while, it doesn’t quite capture the magic needed to keep players fully engaged.

Aug 19, 2024Creatures of Ava from Inverge Studios is such a solid videogame, but without neglecting the charisma. Visual charisma, with a very solvent and inspired technical and artistic section, as well as gameplay mechanics that, without being brilliant, are consistent with the story and keep us entertained. It has some improvable details, such as inventory management or level design in certain phases, but if we add it all up, we have a game to recommend. [Recommended]

Aug 15, 2024Creatures of Ava was an extremely promising project, which seemed to have been born under the best of auspices, but was brought down mid-air by its technical execution. We sincerely regret not being able to appreciate it to the full, despite its beautiful and sensitive universe. Considering the game was cleverly integrated into the Game Pass, we strongly recommend those with a subscription to give it a try, if only to see for themselves. On the other hand, steer clear of any purchase option, which would be more akin to early access than a full version. A terrible disappointment for a title that has so much to offer.
