    This game is genuinely made with love and that feels so rare these days. It avoids being as annoying and cookie cutter as a Pokemon game. Being fun and enjoyable took priority when this game was made and I honestly thought I wouldn't play it as long as I have. Characters are so unique and genuine that I actually feel interested in reading their dialogue. They didn't just want to make aThis game is genuinely made with love and that feels so rare these days. They didn't just want to make a Pokemon clone they set out to make something unique of their own and i think they succeed. While there are some flaws I often found myself having too much fun to care. I hope they keep making these games and improving upon them because there is clearly a lot of potential here.… Expand

    Muy buen juego, con un inolvidable soundtrack y un gameplay al estilo Pokémon pero más inovador. Vale la pena jugarlo.

    It’s so good! Basically it’s Pokemon for adults. Deeper combat mechanics thanks to a longer list of types, WAAAY better story and really good retro style graphics. One of the best games I played this year.

    Un gran juego que reinventa la formula de Pokemon para darle un soplo de aire fresco que le sienta espectacular. Todo esto en un mundo abierto muy bien diseñado, donde coge muchas ideas de botw, para hacerlo a su modo en 2D.

    A fun game with a great atmosphere, very creative monsters and an interesting story, but the soundtrack leaves something to be desired.

    Cassette Beasts might not be as immediate as a certain pocket-monster game on another platform, but its depths are more cavernous. If you’ve been aching for a beast-battler that treats you as an adult, well, what’s stopping you? Go collect ‘em all.

    While there is a lot of strategy there is also a lot of cheese that makes it slightly less enjoyable. Stalling strategies are incredibly powerful, but leaning on them means that fights are long and slow paced. In particular, the Elemental Walls can block even the most powerful attacks, and the AI doesn’t play around them. Despite some balancing issues, and the hundred elemental reactions you have to memorize, Cassette Beasts is a game you will want to try out, even if you’re not a Nintendo fan.
